KS Monday -- May 18 2009

Hello everyone and Happy Kitchen Sink Monday!!
Today's card was used the idea from the one of Maria's beautiful card. I really love how she put the square panels and just had to try it myself :) Thank you Maria for sharing it.

Kitchen Sink Monday!!

My MIL asked me to make a card for her cousin so she could send her a handmade quilt with the card. I used the one of the fabrics that she used for the quilt as a inspiration for the card. I cut the green, purple and stamped patterned papers (stamped with Hearts & Roses) to 1" blocks. After I pieced them together, I ran the pieced panel with the top notes die through Sizzix machine.

I used Whole Family set for the sentiment and Hearts & Roses for the rose images. The rose piece was adhered with dimensional adhesives.

Stamps: Hearts & Roses, Whole Family (KSS)
Paper: lavender lace, certainly celery, close to cocoa (SU), white cardstock (PTI)
Ink: rose - almost amethyst, lavender lace, orchid opulence, elegant eggplant (SU), leaves - certainly celery (off stamped), certainly celery, old olive (off stamped) (SU), sentiment - closed to cocoa (SU), other - Fluid chalk ink creamy brown (Color Box)
Accessories: ribbon (PTI), rhinestones (Michael's)

Tools: Top notes die (SU), Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
