KS Monday - Jun 15 2009

Happy Monday and Kitchen Sink Monday, everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I was out of town for Family reunion. Although the weather got too hot, it was great to see all of the family members.

Since next Sunday is Father's Day, I made the card for my Father in law with some serendipity twist. I learned how to make serendipity tiles when I just started scrapbooking about 7 years ago and used to use my scrapbook layouts. I always thought this is a great way to use some of the scraps.
I made the serendipity mat with some torn scraps (sahara sand, brocade blue, baja breeze). I found that Xyron sticker machine is the best one to use for adhering the scraps on the mat. I stamped the shells with 3 Step Sea Shells all over the mat and cut them into 1 1/2" squares. After distressing each square tile with brown chalk ink, I layered them as shown. The words are stamped with Whole Family set.

Stamps: 3 Step Sea Shells, Whole Family (KSS)
Paper: brocade blue, sahara sand, close to cocoa, baja breeze (SU), white cardstock (GP)
Ink: shells - brocade blue, close to cocoa (SU), words - brocade blue (SU), others - VersaMagic sahara sand (Tsukineko)
Accessories: ribbon, twine (SU), dew drops (The Robin's Nest - available Kitchen Sink Stamps)

Tools: Nestabilities (Spellbinders), border punch (EK Success) piercing tool

Don't forget to check what other KS Crews are cookin' today. Today is the last KS Monday for Tammy :( She's given so many inspirations and ideas through KSS. You will be missed, Tammy.
