KS Monday -- Aug 21, 2009

Hello everyone~
Monday is here and that means it's another Kitchen Sink Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was a very good one...went to watch the football game my son played and Troy came home from NC with .....a bag full of laundry ;) I was not excited with the laundry part but he works so hard so that we can live comfortably, plus he is a wonderful cook, too! Can't complain anymore, lol.

I made this Sympathy card with 3 Step Hearts & Roses. The background was not only stamped but I also did Mod Podge the sheet of mulberry paper.
First, I stamped the rose images on the cardstock randomly. Some of the roses were skipped the last step to give the different depth.
Next, I spread Mod Podge with foam brush to entire stamped background and layered the mulberry paper. Then I spread Mod Podge over the mulberry paper and let it dry.
I trimmed the finished mat and punched the corners to finish. I love the way the roses show through with the texture of the mulberry paper.

The image was stamped with these step:
(rose) 1st - lulu lavender, 2nd - sweet plum, 3rd - sweet plum, 4th - grape jelly
(leaves) 1st - kiwi kiss, 2nd - kiwi kiss, 3rd - old olive
