KS Crew Challenge #21

Hello and happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~
Today is the first Monday of January -- that means it's time for Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge also!! KS Crew challenge #21 (KSCC#21) is hosted by Lisa Somerville and she is challenging us to use stitching to our card/project. The deadline for the challenge is Friday, January 29th and 3 winners will get a gift certificate to use at Kitchen Sink online store! We hope you will play it with us.

Well, the holiday season is officially over here and my mind is set up for preparing the next event - Valentine's Day! I used my dependable sewing machine and zig-zag stitched the inch panels. I love the background turned out like the quilt blocks :) I stamped the rose from 3 Step Hearts & Roses and used the heart with the greeting image from A Year of Thanks 2 set to match to the rose. The ribbon on the corner and rhinestones were added to embellish the card.

These are the steps I did for each image:
(rose) 1st - Memento angel pink, 2nd - Memento rose bud
(1 x stamp off ), repeat, 3rd - rose bud, 4th - SU bravo burgundy (1 x stamp off), repeat
(leaves) - 1st - Memento new sprout, 2nd - Memento bamboo leaves (1 x stamp off), 3rd - Memento bamboo leaves

  • Remember, you can always use the discount promotion code "MAKIKO10KSS" (please type a capital "O" at the end of my name and a zero in the number for 10) to get 10% off while you shop at KSS store .

Stamps: 3 Step Hearts & Roses, A Year of Thanks 2 (KSS)
Paper: bravo burgundy, pink pirouette, retired designer paper (SU), clasic ivory (Flourishes)
Ink: Memento rose bud, angel pink, new sprout, bamboo leaves (Tsukineko), bravo burgundy (SU)
Accessories: ribbon, rhinestones, thread
Tools: Nestabilities, border punch, sewing machine
