It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC59) ! This week Betty Wright is our host. Betty is challenging us to fake it! We are using faux techniques this week on our cards and projects. There are a list of many amazing faux ideas in the Tutorial section at SCS. Check them out here. So, create something faux fabulous with us this week. We would love to see what you create!
My card was used two faux techniques - Faux Tearing and Faux Wood Frame. You can find the tutorials to just click the name of the technique. For the faux tearing, I added the white line with the white pigment ink & blender pen on the edge of the tearing to give more detail. When I created the faux wood frame, I used the forest branch embossing folder to create the wood lines...simply because I don't own the distress stripe embossing folder :p
The tearing background was stamped with Basket Weave stamp. The Daffodil image from A Year in Flowers 1 set was stamped on the watercolor paper and water colored with reinker. I also did paper tole for the some of the flowers. The greeting was stamped with Tag Lines set (Happy) and Seasonal Wreaths set (spring).
The card is also enter Our Creative Corner - Spring/Easter themed card challenge (OCCC) and Crazy 4 Challenges - Spring card challenge (C4C29).
Now, check out what the rest of FOF have created for the challenge!!

Now, how did I know you'd have something utterly gorgeous and creative here today? Let me guess... is it because I know for a fact that you're an amazing stamper and I love your style? I think that must be it! Love your faux wood frame, beautiful flowers, and the Basketweave border. I could have sworn that was a real torn edge, too. What a wonderful card, Maki!
