FTTC71 -- Embossing

SONY DSC

Happy Tuesday everyone~

I’m a little sad that my hubby is leaving for Atlanta, GA this morning about for 3 weeks…:( but in this economy situation,  I have to be thankful for my life that he is bringing income for our family and I have a healthy family. Plus, I will be busy with my kids and all summer activities! The next 3 weeks or so will fly like lighting for sure!!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC71) !  This week Cindy Haffner is our challenge host.  Cindy is challenging us to embossing.  There are a lot of different types of embossing options to choose from, such as heat, stencil, plates, folders, scoring, textured die cuts, and more.  In addition, there are many different techniques to combined with embossing.  You can  also use anything from vellum, clear cardstock, or other textures for your embossed projects.  We would love to see what you all create.

I need to make one more Father’s day card for this Sunday and this was what I came up. I used the beautiful set, A Guiding Light. The ship image was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white EP. Then I sponged the edge with Memento rich cocoa. The rope images were simply stamped on the kraft cardstock, cut and adhered on the kraft background that was embossed with CB embossing folder. I also distressed the edge of some layers with the distressing tool. The rest was embellished with white brads and coordinated ribbon.

Be sure to check out other FOF’s creations!

  8. Maki, this card is wonderfu. I made a very similar card using the exact same stamps this past weekend, only I won't be able to post it until Father's Day...

Silke is absolutely right, you should head on over here to Atlanta to visit hubby and we can all get together! She's due for another visit up this way anyway, so this would be great incentive!! Where in Atlanta is he?
