For my card, I included the sketch inside of the square card base. I used the newest set, April Showers for the rain boots (which I’m absolutely fond of!) and the sentiment. The boots were colored with Copic markers (B21, 23, 26, YG21, 23, 25, Y21, 35, 38, C3) and adhered on the mat that was cut out with Label 18 Nestabilities. I also used the Circle Nestabilities and Beaded Circle Nestabilities to design the rest of the layers. To finish off the card, I dresed with lace trim, cotton ribbon and silver pearls.

Hi everyone~

Well, the Easter weekend is over and hope you had a wonderful weekend as well.

The berries were stamped with the following steps :  1st – SU poppy parade (1 x stamp off), 2nd – poppy parade, 3rd – SU riding hood red, 4th – SU cherry cobbler.  The leaves were : 3rd – SU green garden, 2nd – SU wild wasabi, 1st – wild wasabi (1 x stamp off).

With this card, I’ve submitted to Stock Up on Occasions challenge (KSOCThinkingofYou) and CR84FN Color Challenge 25 (CR84FN25).

FTTC113–Flowers, Flowers Everywhere!

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge 113 (FTTC113). Dee Jackson is challenging us to create cards with flowers. As the challenge title says, let’s have fun with flowers! Please visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your card/project!

SONY DSC

For my card, I used my favorite blossoms set, Cherry Blossoms. The image was colored with Copic markers and framed with label 18 Nestabilities from Spellbinders. I designed the card with Webster’s Page and embellished with distressed flowers and leaves. The flowers are originally white flowers but it was inked with Distress ink and spirited with shimmer mist (it has a little peach tinted glimmer…I wish I could show you the shimmer through the photos!). Then I scrunched the flowers while they were still wet, and carefully shaped them with using heat gun to dry.

I also submitted the card to Bring Back Beautiful #9 (BBB9) and Sweet Stop Sketch 103 (SSS103).

KS Monday–Sweet Booties

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. My weekend was busy but fun! We had Trey’s 10th Birthday party last Friday night and ended up some of the boys came to sleep over ;) I’m so glad my husband could celebrate together this year! I think the boys enjoyed having him as well :)

Oh, my kids also swam for the first time this year yesterday too! Yes, summer is coming here very quickly and I think we are right on track :)

For today’s KS Monday card, I used Friday Sketch Carte Challenge 14 (FSCC14) . I hardly make a long shape card but I thought the baby card would be wonderful for the shape. The card fits 6 1/2” envelope and I cut the cardstock at 6 1/4” horizontally. Instead of cutting the excess to make the card base, I folded it inside for the money/gift card holder. Less scrap for me, yay!!

SONY DSCSONY DSC

The stamp sets are Multi Step Baby for the image and “sweet”, Simple Sentiments for “Congratulations”, and Word for Comfort & Joy for the inside of the card.

The booties were stamped with the following steps: 4th – VersaFine imperial purple, 3rd – Memento grape jelly, 2nd – grape jelly (1 x stamp off), 1st – Memento lulu lavender.

The card was also used Tuesday Kitchen Pantry Challenge 13 (KPC13) – Playing with checks.

I used Tokens of Affection set. The image was colored with Copic markers. I sponged to antique some of the mats to match the light brown color of the couch. To finish off, I dressed with the buttons with vintage twine.

KS Monday–Happy Birthday Son!

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~

Since my son is having his birthday party this Friday, (his b-day is April 23rd but it’s hard to have a party during the Easter weekend :P) I decided to use the opportunity to create the b-day card with some challenges!!

These are the challenges I did with the card:

Tuesday Kitchen Pantry Challenge 12 (KPC12)Fun With Circles. Let see…I used circle punches, the DP that had circle patterns, the circle dots (planets) stamps, the moon, pearls and circle shaped clip.

Wednesday Stock Up on Occasions Challenge (KSOCBirthday) –birthday card

Crazy 4 Challenges 81 (C4C81) – Sketch challenge

C4C81 April Sketch

I used Multi Step Owl & Autumn Moon for the moon and Friends of the Moon for the rest of the images. The more I use them, the more I heart them!! The saying was used two different sets, Multi Step Lil’ Elephant and 3 Step Baseball. The colors are inspired from the DCVW papers that were used here. I think this card is a fun birthday card for all boys, don’t you think? :):)

The moon was stamped with the following steps: 1st – SU so saffron, 3rd – SU peach parfait, 2nd – peach parfait (1 x stamp off). The rocket was stamped and colored with Copic markers.
