Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~
It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC121). Silke is challenging us to create a card/project for Father’s Day!! You can visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your card/project!
Even though I made Father’s Day card for the last week’s challenge, it was still fun to make some more masculine card…which I have only few chances to do it since I’m more flower/girly/whimsy kind of girl :) I used What A Catch for the main image and the sentiment and Kids Play for the silhouette on the background. The inspiration was come from Crazy 4 Challenges 90 (C4C90).
I used the glossy cardstock for the background and colored it using the alcohol ink applicator. Instead of using alcohol ink, I dubbed the dye ink re-inkers on the felt applicator, then spray alcohol on the inked applicator and swished through the glossy mat. After the ink was dried well, I sponged the edge with Memento tuxedo black and stamped the image. The black edge was free-hand drawn with Copic marker 110 (I used the chisel tip).
The fish image was colored with Copic markers (Fields, Creamy, Robin’s egg, Spruce, Warm neutrals Collections) and the mat was sponged with light blue and light peach ink.
To finish off the card, I paper pierced the edge of the background mat and added silver pearls on the thin black strips.
We are welcoming some new faces (or I should say *familiar faces*) for FTTC team!!
