Hello everyone~
I completely forgot that yesterday was the first day of summer :P It’s been 3 digits temperature every day for the last couple weeks and I was just thinking about when the summer will be over, lol!!
Anyway, I have one card to show you today! I made it for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC123) . Betty is challenging us to use a brown paper bag into your card! What a fun challenge! You can visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your project!!
For the brown bag challenge, I used one sandwich bag and made the flower embellishment. I punched out 8 scalloped circle punch and inked the edge of each circle. Then attached them all together with a brad at the center. To give the dimension and texture, I just crinkled and squeezed the flower and carefully open each petal. Since the bag was much thinner than cardstock or scrapbook papers, I didn’t have to wet them to crinkle ;) The leaves are made with the leaf punch. I used Garden Fresh set and colored the image with Copic markers (Evergreen and Copper). The sentiment was stamped on the ribbon accent that was cut with the die from Nested Lacey Pennants. I tied the buttons with the paper twine I made with the same brown bag :) Just cut about a 1/4” strip and keep spinning with finger tips and palm until it turned out like twine.
The sketch was used from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 122 (SSSC122) and Make It Monday with Kraft Outlet Challenge - Welcome Summer. (Thanks for letting me know about the challenge, Elizabeth!)
Be sure to check out other FOF’s creations!
