FTTC132- Focus on Sentiments

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~

I am happy to tell you that my kids had a great first day of school yesterday! I went back to my taxi mom job again too :) As much as I love the lazy days of summer, I also love these busy school schedule too!

I made one card for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC132) . Cindy is challenging us to use a sentiment(s) as a focal point of your creation! Please visit Flourishes Blog for more information about the challenge. Can’t wait to see your creation!

I decided to use Bee My Honey for today’s card. To try not to make the image for the focal point, I stamped it with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I lightly colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped on the lacey circle panel and I sponged with ink. The sentiment panel was mounted on the yellow fancy tag panel. and embellished with linen ribbon. I hope the way I designed the card will bring your eyes to the sentiment more than the image :)

This card is also submitted to CR84FN Color Challenge 36 (CR84FN36) and Crazy 4 Challenges 101 (C4C101) - I did the row of Embossing, Die Cuts and Ribbon.

I used Dandelion Breeze (9012-M) and All Your Dreams (9004-E) from new Summer Series. I stamped the image on the card base and the white mat. I placed the mat with the way the dandelion’s seeds were blowing outside the white mat. The sentiment was stamped on the oval mat and it was layered on the fancy tag. To finish off, I paper pierced the top of the image mat and embellished with the rhinestones.

Hello everyone~

It’s second day of Flourishes August Release Sneak Peek and I am so excited to join with the fabulous FLLC DT today!! The card size is 5 1/2” x 5 1/2”. You can estimate how big the hollyhocks stamp is.  I colored the image with Copic markers (Poppy, Tea Rose, Dusty Rose, Evergreen, Y15, 11 and C03, 01, 00). I also adhered some of the colored flowers & leaves to give some dimensional. Then I looped the cotton ribbon around the lattice rectangle frame and embellished the bow with the rhinestone brad. The designer paper was punched around with the border punch & corner punches. To finish off, I adhered the sentiment mat on the frame.

FTTC130–Feeling Fruity!

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC130) . Tammy is challenging us “Feeling Fruity” – Use images or paper with fruit in your design! We are also showing the samples using the August release set, Wild For Watermelon for the challenge! Along with the new release, our FTTC challenge prize is going to be different from the usual prize….

You will have the chance to get double-entered if they use Flourishes stamps, please do NOT combine their card with other challenges and you must have a direct link back to our challenge post in your blog post and/or gallery upload. You don’t have to leave a comment for all the designers for this challenge. You will still have until Monday the 15th at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time to enter the contest. The winner will get the whole new release!

Please visit Flourishes Blog for more information about the challenge.

Hope you will check each of our posts and play along the challenge with us!

For my card, I stamped the sliced watermelon and masked the image and stamped it again behind the image. All images were colored with Copic markers (watermelon - Lenten Rose, YG67, 63, 61, Y00, 000 / salt shaker – Tonal Neutral, B00, 000, E41/ shadow - C03, 01, 00) . Then the image mat was sponged with ink. The card was designed with the fun & bright papers and the coordinated cardstock… (I’m wondering if it’s too wild for watermelon). I stamped the sentiment and embellished with the ribbon and rhinestones. The inside was also decorated with the same designer paper and the mat was stamped with the seeds image for a few times. The shadow was added with Copic markers.
