RI Designer’s Choice Challenge round 2 – Darsie

SONY DSC

Happy Wednesday everyone~

I hope your week is wonderful so far. I have one card for Designer’s Choice Challenge (round 2) from Repeat Impressions today!! Darsie is challenging us to *use scenic image(s), the color white, black and one color of your choice* for your creations. Great challenge, Darsie!

You will have two weeks (by Aug 30th) to enter your project. When you finish your project, make sure you link it to the DCC post at RI blog where the inlinkz are located so that you will have a chance to win the RI gift certificate! For more information about the DCC, please visit The House That Stamps Built (RI blog). Can’t wait to see your creation!

It requires me to use scenic stamps every time but I always realize more about the fun of stamping. This card was no exceptions. I used Deer Family Silhouette (4221-K) for the main image. It was stamped with VersaMark & black dye ink, then I heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped Large Pine Forest (2709-I) on the background and Clouds (3403-F) for the sky. I sponged the mat with black and light green ink. The silhouette grass on the bottom was cut out with MFTgrass die. To give more dimension, I used white gel pen for the highlights and Copic markers (gray) for the shadows. I stamped Thinking of You (1105-E) for the saying, and the card was dressed with light green pearls and black baker’s twine to finish off.
