FTTC103–Valentine’s Day Card

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge 103 (FTTC103)!! The challenge host is Silke Ledlow and she is challenge us to create a *Valentine’s Day card/project*!! A perfect challenge for this time of the year! Please visit at Flourishes Blog to find more detail about how to play the FTTC challenge.

SONY DSC

I decided to use the classic Flourishes set, I Love Roses. The set has some wonderful sayings for Valentine’s Day as well as the gorgeous rose images! When I stamped the rose, I curved the stem slightly on the acrylic block. I like about this cool trick you can do with clear stamps ;) After stamping the image, I colored with Copic markers (Flesh Tones, Evergreen and Poppy Collections). Then I  sponged the edge of the mat with brown ink and I stamped the saying with the same brown ink.

SONY DSC

I stamped the little sayings from Angelic Love on the little tags and attached to the red satin ribbon with the brown twine. To finish off, I attached the punched butterfly with rhinestones.

This card is also entered to Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 102 (SSSC102) and CR84FN13 Color Challenge. It’s my first time to play both challenges! I’m just so glad I got to play something new to me :):)

Hello and happy KS Monday everyone~

My card for today is clean and Simple! I was trying to whip more cards for the last one week but unfortunately it didn’t happen ;P The good thing is I liked how this card turned out!

I made and posted one card yesterday for Curtain Call Color Challenge and a couple of KS Crew Challenges if you’re interested in checking.

The card above was made with another challenges that was posted last week at Crew Challenge Cupboard.

Monday 10 Minutes Card Challenge 4 (10MCC4) – Use this simple square layout. (I changed the layout a little bit…but still finished within 10 minutes! Woohoo!!)

Wednesday Stock Up on Occasions Challenge (KSOCSaintPatricksDay) – Make a St. Patricks Day or Good Luck card (KSOCGoodLuck).

I used Multi Step Shamrocks & Clover set for the images and Ready 4 Any Holidays for the saying.

The all papers are from PaperTemptress St. Patty’s KSS Green Package. I really love the gold shimmer cardstock …make wonderful St Patty’s cards!! Both main & layer squares were punched with the same square punch and I just off sat the layers …saving more time for 10 minutes challenge ;)

These are the steps I did for each image:
(Shamrocks) 3rd – SU garden green,  2nd - SU wild wasabi, 1st – SU pear pizzazz

Be sure to check out what other KS Crews are cookin’ for KS Monday today!!

Happy Hump day everyone~

I have a lot of things to do this week but I just cannot motivated… my To-Do list is not cleared as quickly as I’ve planned :P At least I don’t lose my MOJO (yet!) and hopefully I can go back to my stamp room for a few hours for the next couple days!

I have one card for What If? Wednesday Sketch Challenge from Repeat Impressions!

You will have 2 weeks (until Tuesday, Feb 8th) to enter your card for the challenge over RI Blog “The House That Stamps Built”. All participants will have a chance to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate!! I hope you will play along with us! Please check out RI Blog for more detail.

Here is my card for the challenge.

SONY DSC

SONY DSC

I made this card with one of my favorites (I have too many favorites, lol) stamps, Sunflower (4313-K) and Someone Special (1107-F) for the saying. I used Our Creative Corner Challenge for the colors – *analogous color scheme*.   As you see I rotated the sketch for the card. The image was colored with Copic markers as usual and sponged the mat with dye ink. The top border and the top of the bottom border was used border punch. The secret to make a decorative border like the top one is to start with 1” strip and start punching at the center of the strip. Of course you probably already knew that ;) I just found out while watching the HSN scrapbooking show the other day!

To finish off the card, I also did the paper piercing above the saying and embellished with rhinestones and organdy ribbon bow.

FTTC102–Adding Some Hardware!!

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC102)!! Cindy Haffner is today’s challenge host and she is challenging us to add some kind of *Hardware* to your card/project.

Please check more detail for the challenge over the Flourishes Blog. Can’t wait to see your creation!!

SONY DSC

I made theis simple card with Kids Play. For the challenge, I used the silver metal flower – Finishing Touches Embellishments. The background was my first try using alcohol and re-inkers. I will give all credits to Kathy (Seaside Stamps owner). When I went to the stamp/scrap show a few weeks ago, I saw Kathy’s demonstration and I was waiting the opportunity to play until now…had to wait to clean my table so I can use spritzer, lol!  I don’t know it’s OK to link her tutorial but if you go to her store website, she has the tutorial in her blog :) My BG is more likely just mixed 3 different colors but I really love the result of the silver streaks….it’s a kind of matching to the hardware I used!

Be sure to check out other FOF’s creations!

RI Stamp of The Week– Week of Jan 24th, 2010

SONY DSC

Hello again,

It’s my second post for today. I have one card for the Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions! This week’s SOTW stamp is Feline Friendly (1602-P) Isn’t this sweet?! This is one of my favorite images from RI and I’m so excited it’s the SOTW this week :) The SOTW is available exclusively to our RI blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Mon, Jan 10th – Sun, Jan 16th. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the RI blog “The House That Stamps Built”.

SONY DSC

Since it’s a time of the year and I’m in the mood for something with Valentine’s Day, I decided to use the hearts, pink & brown for the card. I colored the image with the Copic markers and adhered the trimmed image on the heart layers. I’m still practicing the fur streaks with markers…but it’s not too bad for this one…what do you think? To finish off, I added the seam binding ribbon with button & vintage twine and pearls on the corner.

Since I don’t have a way to stamp the saying or sentiment, I stamped it inside. I used No outfits… (2815-H)and you can see the larger image with clicking the photo.

It’s time for Curtain Call Color Challenge {ACT66}!!

Sweet and lovely colors…would be wonderful for Valentine’s Day card, don’t you think?

Please visit Stacey’s Stamping Stage for more detail about this week’s challenge.

Here is my card.

SONY DSC

You can tell I was totally inspired the mitten image, hehe. I used ginaK’s Warm & Wonderful set. I bought this set when it was available and totally missed the opportunity to ink them :P So, I’m so glad I finally get around to play this sweet set with those colors! I also used the StampTV Sketch Spotlight Challenge (STVSKSP9).

SketchSpotlightSTVSKSP9

SONY DSC

I colored the images with Copic markers. Can you see the little texture I did to make the image look more fuzzy? After I finished coloring, I dabbed tiny dots with the same Copic colors. Then I colored with colorless blender over the dots to look more blending to the original colors.

Here is Joy’s card we are going to case.

CASE Joy

I love Joy’s clean & elegant style. So, I kept the clean look & the combination of two different DPs for my card. I used Swan Love (4321-J) and Love, Hugs… (2509-H) and I colored the swans with the inks using blender pen. There are the tiny heart images between the words but I decided to use the pearls to match the swan instead. I used Webster’s Pages designer papers for the BG and simply embellished with the tea roses.

Be sure to check out the creations by the RI Rock Stars below to get more inspirations too!!

SONY DSC

I think I made 5x7 card only a couple times before…so this was a great challenge to push myself out of the comfort zone ;) I decided to make a Valentine’s Day card with using Fanciful Flourishes set. I used the sketch from Mojo Monday 174 (MOJO174) and kept my colors just 2 different shades of pink and vanilla colors. The BG was dry embossed with the texture plate. The heart was stamped on the vintage ivory cardstock four times (3 hearts for the dimensional hearts and 1 heart for the back piece. Then I adhered the heart on the layers I made with Nestablities. I used Webster’s Pages paper and stamped the saying from Tag Lines set. I embellished the ribbon, baker’s twine, button and flourishes pearls with tea roses.

There are some changes for the FOF team. Please check today’s Flourishes Blog for more detail about the change.

I cased this card by Lynette…it’s posted for CASE Wednesday challenge HERE. I love how she embossed the image and colored and I had to case for the morning glories :) The image was water colored with re-inkers. I stamped “Get Well Soon” from Quartet Complements Series  To finish off, I used the ribbon and matching pearls.

My card looks washing out since the background is white…but it’s more bright IRL :P

Happy Kitche Sink Monday everyone~

Well, it snowed here yesterday….plus, mix of sleet and ice :( I don’t mind snow but the icy condition is very dangerous for the southern area where we live. I’m writing this post with praying for we keep having electricity!

I hope most of you already have checked out NEW Kitchen Sink Forum and Gallery! We have started the daily challenge in Crew Challenge Cupboard and a daily Crew discussion in Crew Corner! Just a little indulgence from us every day ;) You’re always welcome to play any challenge at any time!

KSS KCS01

For today’s KS Monday, I created a card with using Multi Step Sweet Heart Roses. I used the sketch from Friday Sketch Challenge by Connie (FSCC01) and colors from SCS Color Combination 304 (CC304).

These are the steps I did for each image:
(Heart rose) 2nd – SU poppy parade, 3rd – SU cranberry crisp, 4th – VersaFine imperial purple, 1st – poppy parade (1 x stamp off)

I agree with Maria…imperial purple really do wonder!!
