FTTC111–Use Those Stamps!

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC111). Betty Wright is the challenge host and she is challenging us to use some of the other stamps in the stamp sets…I’m sure you have those stamps in the set that are not used often or never! Let’s bring them back to your table for this wonderful challenge!! Please visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your card/project!

Well, it was a little tough challenge for me…because to tell the truth, I have many of those stamps I should use more often :P However, I have been thinking about making this card for a while in the deep of my heart and I think I finally had a chance to make it :) As you see, the card is for my friend in Japan who live in the area where the huge earthquake hit. Thank goodness, she and her family are safe and trying to rebuild their life.

I used the fish, water wave & saying from Water Lilies set. They are definitely needed to be inked again! I colored the image with Copic markers and stamped the saying “Peace with You” on the red circle piece. Then it was heat embossed with white EP. I used the Japanese designer paper and the white background was stamped with the silhouette cherry blossom image from Cherry Blossoms set.  To finish off, the card was dressed with white satin ribbon & red pearls to finish off.

The sketch was based on Sweet Shop Sketch 101 (SSS101). I also submit this card to Use It Tuesday Challenge #4 (USE004)Use color red … I used the Japanese designer paper I was hoarding too long and red tiny pearls that were actually last 4 left in my stash!
