Flourishes Friday! - Masculine Cards

Happy Friday everyone!
It is another Flourishes Friday and today we're going to continue on our theme of masculine cards that we began last week, giving you some more great inspiration for that guy in your life!  The Senior Design Team is picking any set in our Flourishes Stamp Collection and showing off their masculine designs to you today.  I know you'll be inspired and come away with some great manly ideas!

While you are visiting the Flourishes Blog, be sure to check who is our Designer Focus. If you CASE one of the designer's creations, you have a chance to win a Flourishes Goody Bag!

I used Father's Day set for today's card. I love the silhouette image and it reminds of my husband and son -- guys of my life :) This set is such a wonderful set for masculine cards!
I created the card with Classic White cardstock, Kraft cardstock and designer papers. I gave a little curve when I stamped the sentiment and I also off-stamped both image and sentiment to create shadows. I think it turned out great :)

The rest of supplies: Memento - Rhubarb Stalk, Espresso Truffle, Toffee Crunch, CME buttons - Rich Brown Light, cotton stripe ribbonkraft jute twine, silver pearls, Perfectly Pierced Hourglass die, embossing folder, window punch

Be sure to visit the other FLLC Sr Designers for more inspirations.

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday everyone~
My friends and family in the US, I hope you will have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I am just so glad our summer is here! I am ready to enjoy some BBQ and swimming for the next few days :)

Today's Flourishes Friday, our FLLC DT is focusing the stamp set, "What A Catch!".

Whether it's a fish jumping out of the water ready to be caught, a fly-fisherman's bag gearing up for a wonderful day on the water or flies and a rod just in from the action, this set is perfect for the guys in your life. This set is "Must-have" to create Father's Day and my guys' birthdays every year because fishing is their favorite thing to do :)

If you need a little more inspiration for this set, all you need to do is click HERE and travel over to the Flourishes Gallery. If you click the link, it will take you to dozens of other creations using the What a Catch set (or Guiding Light -- whichever they used). Perfect inspiration for the guys in your life!

Here is my card using the set:

FLLC Free For All Friday (a day late!)

Hello everyone~
I usually post something on Fridays for Flourishes but I had to do a day late. I had no power for a day due to a tornade and severe thunderstorm. We still need some cleaning to do but it is very hard when my husband is out of town :( Anyway, we are fine and finally back to normal! I hope you've enjoyed seeing the creations from other Flourishes DT yesterday :)

It was time for Flourishes "Free for All Friday!!" yesterday. Just like every Friday after the release, Flourishes DT designers pick up their favorite new sets and let their creativity go crazy with a "Free for All Friday!"
Also, we added something new on Flourishes Friday post! It is called "Designer Focus"! Be sure to visit Flourishes Blog to find out which designer is focused!

Here is my Free for All Friday card :)

I couldn't just pick one favorite so I mixed up two sets from the release. I used Glamuor Girls and Simply Charming. They make me grin every time I stamp :)))
All images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I also sponged the mat with Memento Angel Pink and colored over with R20 and R000 Copic markers to add more depth on the edge. The card was designed with Classic White cardstock, CME Rich Browns cardstock, pink cardstock and MME designer papers. To finish off, I added the lace trim on the corners.

The rest of supplies: decorative edger, Spellbinders die

Be sure to check other DT's creations if you're not done yet.

Thank you for stopping by.
Have a great day!

Here is my card using Simple Charming set :)

Mother's Day is on Sunday and I had a perfect time to create one for my mother in law. I used the stamp set as a little heart charm underneath of paper roses. This set is such a handy one to add for some flower clusters! I stamped the heart charm with VersaMark and heat embossed with silver embossing powder. Then I colored the inside of charm with Copic markers carefully. After the markers was dry enough, I stamped "Love" with VersaMark and heat embossed with the same embossing powder. You need to do this process if you want to color with alcohol markers. Otherwise, the embossed line will bleed when the markers touch. The rest of the card was designed with Classic White cardstock, CME Rich Browns cardstock, Terra Cotta cardstock and Pistachio cardstock. I used Motherly Love set for the sentiment and the mat was die cut with Perfectly Pierced Hourglass die set.

The rest of supplies: pearls, Memento - rich cocoa, peanut brittle, tangelo, bamboo leaves, ink spritz, SB Itty Bitty Blossoms die, Nestabilities die, distress tool, blending tool

FLLC May Release - Old Tea Rose

Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to Day 2 of Flourishes Sneak Peeks for May! Those April showers have brought May flowers and we're bringing a beautiful flower to you today too, it's a brand new set from a brand new illustrator for Flourishes! We'd like to introduce...

OldTeaRoseGraphic

Old Tea Rose Stamp Set is a gorgeous new set that celebrates the majestic rose. Artistically drawn by our new artist Sam Pickard, this old tea rose just begs to be colored with style. This elegant floral features three accent images, including a stately looking butterfly and five beautifully scripted sentiments - all on a 4 by 6" set. This set will also have a Silhouette Cut file available as well for wonderful creative options. You can find out more about our new Illustrator Sam Pickard HERE.

Here is my card using Old Tea Rose :)

I got out my comfort zone to create this (patting my shoulder, lol) I didn't know how it was going to turned out but I knew I would be happy with the result since I was using this beautiful images ;-)
First, I painted the designer paper with gesso and let it dry. Then I sprayed the ink spritz. After the ink was dry, I stamped the rose and one of the sentiment with Memento tuxedo black. The rose was colored with Copic markers. I noticed ink doesn't dry fast on the gesso painted surface...so I kind of played around the image like softening the lines of the image. When I let the mat completely dry, I added more gesso for the streak texture and inked the edge with the chalk ink. Then I hand drawn the line.

For the designing the card, I used Classic Ivory cardstock and Color Made Easy Piatachio cardstock and Bo Bunny designer paper. The sentiment was die cut with Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole die set. To finish off, I add the butterflies (colored and fuss cut) and embellished the lace trim & rinestones.

The rest of supplies: decorative border punch, Copic multiliner pen

Want a little peek at the set we’ll be showcasing today?

Now on to our challenge… Denise Marzec is our Timeless Tuesday Challenge hostess this week and for her challenge, we want to see you use some "BLACK ACCENTS" on your card or project.  Let's see you use some black matting, black die-cut images, black ribbon, or try the ever-popular "chalkboard" technique that's popping up all over the blogging world.

Here is my "black accents" card :)

As you see, I added some black accents on my card. The color of black works perfect for the image, don't you think? The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I die-cut the black mat and sentiment mat with Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole die set. The black mat was dry embossed and directly inked with white pigment ink. I also stamped the one of the sentiments on the CME Crocus cardstock and it was brushed over lightly with white acrylic paint. To finish off, I dressed the card with the black accents :)

The rest of supplies: Classic White cardstock, designer paper, black rhinestones, ribbon, beaded hat pin, decorative edger, embossing folder

Today we have both our Flourishes Finest Design Team AND our Friends of Flourishes Team sharing their "Black Accents" inspirations with you!  Take a moment and leave some love on all of our designers' blogs.
