FLLC May Release - Old Tea Rose

Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to Day 2 of Flourishes Sneak Peeks for May! Those April showers have brought May flowers and we're bringing a beautiful flower to you today too, it's a brand new set from a brand new illustrator for Flourishes! We'd like to introduce...

OldTeaRoseGraphic

Old Tea Rose Stamp Set is a gorgeous new set that celebrates the majestic rose. Artistically drawn by our new artist Sam Pickard, this old tea rose just begs to be colored with style. This elegant floral features three accent images, including a stately looking butterfly and five beautifully scripted sentiments - all on a 4 by 6" set. This set will also have a Silhouette Cut file available as well for wonderful creative options. You can find out more about our new Illustrator Sam Pickard HERE.

Here is my card using Old Tea Rose :)

I got out my comfort zone to create this (patting my shoulder, lol) I didn't know how it was going to turned out but I knew I would be happy with the result since I was using this beautiful images ;-)
First, I painted the designer paper with gesso and let it dry. Then I sprayed the ink spritz. After the ink was dry, I stamped the rose and one of the sentiment with Memento tuxedo black. The rose was colored with Copic markers. I noticed ink doesn't dry fast on the gesso painted surface...so I kind of played around the image like softening the lines of the image. When I let the mat completely dry, I added more gesso for the streak texture and inked the edge with the chalk ink. Then I hand drawn the line.

For the designing the card, I used Classic Ivory cardstock and Color Made Easy Piatachio cardstock and Bo Bunny designer paper. The sentiment was die cut with Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole die set. To finish off, I add the butterflies (colored and fuss cut) and embellished the lace trim & rinestones.

The rest of supplies: decorative border punch, Copic multiliner pen
