Happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~

Although all the Christmas cards & holiday gifts were so fun to make & check out, it’s about time to do something totally different … right?

SONY DSC

My husband’s birthday is this Saturday, I decided to make a birthday card from our kids to their daddy. I used 3 Step Baseball…you know this is the first time I used this set?? It’s such a wonderful set for masculine theme!  Even though my husband is not into baseball (he is a big football & NASCAR fan), I think he will like this card…because there is no bows or be-dazzling, lol!!

These are the steps I did for each image (all inks are from Memento):
(Glove) 1st – desert sand, 2nd – rich cocoa (1 x stamp off), 3rd – rich cocoa, 4th – paris dusk

Kitchen Sink Crew Challenge #30 (KSCC#30)’s dead line is Wed eve, Dec 29th (midnight EST) and the winners are going to be announced on Friday, Dec 31st at NEW Kitchen Sink Forum!! It’s less than one week until the date….Mark your calendar for the Grand Opening the New Year’s Eve!!

FTTC97–Food and Drink

SONY DSC

Happy Tuesday everyone~

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC97)! This week I am your challenge host! I am challenging you to a theme! The theme is all about *food and drink*! Create a card or project that showcases some yummy treats either real or stamped! We look forward to seeing what delicious looking creations you make!

During this time of the year, many of us are baking cookies & ginger bread houses with family. I’m no exceptions thanks to my super crafty mother in law!! Since the time we started living the next door, she helps me and kids bake every Christmas! So, I had to continue the tradition into my card too, lol.

I used Sweet of the Season set as main stamps. I stamped the cookies images, colored with Copic markers and added some Stickles on the icing. Gingerbread people were stamped and colored with white gel pen and Copic markers. They were attached on the card with dimensional adhesives. The metallic cardstock (green for the border and red for scallop square frame) were also available at Flourishes! They are super fun to add shine for paper crafting projects! I stamped the snowflakes from Warm Winter Wishes on the green mat behind the red metallic frame and embellished with baker’s twine to finish off the card.

Hope you like how I did to create my card today :)

This is my other project with my kids, hehe.

The Santa’s suit, hat and mittens were paper pieced and I added the Stickles on the fur. The round sentiment frame, Merry/Happy Frame (8910-O) was also stamped around the Santa. I thought I needed more color….so I added the scalloped edge ribbons on the borders.

FTTC96–3D Holiday Gift

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC96)! This week Silke Ledlow is our challenge host! Silke is challenging us to 3D Holiday Gifts! A card can be made to go along with your gift, but a 3D Christmas gift item is the main challenge! We look forward to seeing what you create!

What a wonderful challenge Silke!! I decided to create a little gift box and card with some fun Christmas stamps and papers. I used Christmas Classics set and colored each stocking with Copic markers and added some Stickles. I used the green satin ribbon that was from the gbath gift set I received last year’s Christmas :) I used the chunky button and baker’s twine to secure the ribbon. To finish off the box & card, I embellished with rhinestones.

You can find the tutorial for the gift box at Scor-Pal November E-Zine.

Here is my case card

SONY DSC

I love how Connie created the beautiful night scene! The moon is so incredible, don’t you think? For my card, I used the same moon image and color tone from Multi Step Owl & Autumn Moon set. I created mine using the Santa & his sleigh image from Friends of the Moon set. The trees were stamped using Multi Step Pine Trees and the word “BELIEVE” was from Vintage Words.

These are the steps I did for each image:
(Autumn Moon) 3rd – Memento london fog, 2nd – london fog (1 x stamp off), 1st – Memento summer sky (1 x stamp off)

(Pine Trees) 1st – SU basic gray, 2nd – Memento tuxedo black

(Santa) – Memento rhubarb stalk

The sky was sponged with Memento summer sky, SU tempting turquoise, SU basic gray and Memento tuxedo black. Then I stamped the stars with Memento dandelion. I also added the shadow with london fog ink using Fantastix.
