SONY DSC

Hello and happy Kitchen Sink Monday!

Kitchen Sink Stamps is releasing FIVE new sets! Some of the sets are used at the KSS Workshop in OH last month and all of you can purchase individually now ;)

The releasing sets are

We also start carrying storage boxes for stamps and craft covered journals!! The storage box is the best stamp organization, especially KSS stamps! It fits 2 large/medium sets or 4 small/mini sets comfortably! They are wonderful organization system and definitely save my time to find my KSS stamps :)

Please visit What’s New section for the all new stamps and items.

I made a couple projects using some of the new released sets. The card above was used Multi Step Tomato and Multi Step Baskets. The banner is also from the new set, Seed Packet. I just cannot wait you get to play them…they are so much fun to ink! The cherry tomatoes were stamped with the following steps: 3rd – SU bravo burgundy, 2nd – SU real red, 1st – SU poppy parade. The stems were 2nd – SU garden green, 1st – SU wild wasabi. The basket was stamped with these steps: 3rd – SU soft suede, 2nd – soft suede (1 x stamp off), 1st – SU crumb cake.

The next project was used Multi Step Zinnia (flower set, yay!!). I made this sticky note pad using a post card size coaster. Again, I used the banner from Seed Packet set and the sentiment was used from 3 Step School Days. The zinnias were stamped with the following steps: 5thVersaFine imperial purple, 4th – SU cherry cobbler, 3rd – SU melon mambo 2nd – melon mambo (1 x stamp off), 1st – SU blushing bride. The leaves were 3rd – SU garden green, 2nd – SU old olive, 1st – SU certainly celery. After I stamped the images, the coaster was edged with VersaMagic and the sticky note pad was adhered with Scor-Tape. Very easy and quick little gift to make :)

FTTC77 – Emily’s Pins Challenge

Cherries_&_Peaches_4-1_edited

Hello everyone~

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC77) !  It is the end of the month so we have a challenge host.  This month's host is Emily Keaton.  Emily is challenging us to  use “Pins”!   All kinds of pins will do.  Think stick pins, hat pins, safety pins, straight pins, diaper pins, even mini clothes pins or a brooch-style pin.  We would love to see what you create!

OK…you’re probably thinking where I used PINS. Since the challenge says “All kinds of pins will do”, I used the clothespins :) Plus, it was so fun to use the tiny clothespin for the last week’s FTTC card and I decided to use them again! I used Cherries & Peaches set with the altered box. The images were colored with Copic MarkersPoppy Collection, Tiger Lily Collection and Evergreen Collection.

I bought these lunch tin boxes for a while ago and they are stored in the cabinet for a long time…maybe too long, lol. I decided to bring them back to light after I read the one of Dare To Get Challenge 2010 over SCS. I also submitted to the couple more challenges for today’s project. There are those challenges…

Here is the image for each box. You can click the photo to see the enlarged image.

You can follow this wonderful tutorial by Emily Giovanni to alter the tin box. My printer is out of ink, so I just used the 1 1/4” square & 1” circle punches to cut out the notch part.

I already sold the cherry tin box :):) and my daughter wants to have the peach one… I could just give it to her but I told she has to earn it with her chores and cleaning up her room ;) Mean mommy, lol!

Be sure to check out other FOF’s creations!

FTTC65 – Card with Gift Set

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC65)!!  This week Silke Ledlow is our challenge host!  Silke is challenging us to a card with gift set!  It is the time of year where Mother's Day, Father's Day, Weddings, Graduations, along with Birthdays and many other reasons to celebrate and give warrant not only a card but a little something extra to go with it!   You can go simple or over the top!  Whichever you decide, we would love to see what you create!

I created this card and gift set to my mother in law for Mother’s Day gift. She is my blog subscriber so it’s not going to be a surprise gift for sure, lol. I hope she will like it :) For the inside, you can insert something flat and small like tea bags. The pockets of the bag was created with white envelopes that were sealed and cut 2 1/2” from each end. For this gift bag, I made 6 pockets (using 3 envelopes) and adhered each pocket. Then I adhered the group of pockets to the inside of front and back piece. The front piece is 4” x 5”.  The back piece is 4” x 7” and scored at 2” from one end for the flap. The Velcro piece was used for the closure.

Both card and gift bag was used images from Let’s Have Tea set and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment of the card is from Spring Bouquet set.

FTTC62 -- Shake Things Up!!

Hello everyone~
It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC62)! This week Dee Jackson is our challenge host! Dee is shaking things up a bit! Or, better yet, she is challenging us to shake things up! We are making shaker cards. Now, you can have a big shake or a little shake. You decide if your shaker is the focal point or the accent! We would love to see what you create! So, go get busy and "shake it" with us this week! Here is a wonderful shaker card tutorial at SCS by Beate Johns to get you going!

I don't even remember when I made the shaker card for the last time...but I remember I used beads for the shakers, so I again used the beads and created this birthday shaker card. I used the beautiful set, Let Them Eat Cakes for the birthday cake and Sweet Violet set for the greeting. The frame for the shaker box was created with Label 11 Netabilities and classic rectangle Nestabilities. Then I dry embossed the frame with CB embossing folder. To finish, I embellished the card with pearls and polka dot satin ribbon.

I used the color combination from the Embellish Magazine color challenge (red, black, white and kraft). The challenge also requires to create a project that includes party-themed projects. So, in addition with the card, I decorated the candle...candles are "Must-Have" items for any parties, don't you think? Or they are also wonderful gifts to give or receive ;)

Now, check out what the rest of FOF have created for the challenge!!

Stamps: Let Them Eat Cakes, Sweet Violet (Flourishes)
Paper: classic white (Flourishes), kraft, designer paper (PTI), black cardstock, acetate sheets
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), riding hood red (SU)
Accessories: ribbon, pearls, beads
Tools: Label 11 and classic rectangle Nestabilities, CB embossing folder, border punch

TSG Sneak Peek - Fairy Good Day

Hello everyone~
Welcome to There She Goes September Sneak Peek & Blog Hop Challenge!! If you came from Julie's blog, I'm the next! If not, you may want to hop over to Jessica's blog to start this fun challenge ;) You can find out the detail about the challenge is on TSG blog.

All new sets are going to release on Sunday, Aug 30th!! Woohoo!! Today's sneak peek set is called Fairy Good Day, designed by TSG new designer, Sheena Sy. I've had so much fun with stamping these "fairy" cute & whimsical images! Not only it's a great set for cards, but it's also perfect for scrapbooking of those photos with kid(s) & their lost tooth. Yep, I have some...now no excuse to scrapbook them ;)

For my project, I made a card & an altered box. A child can put his/her tooth or two in the box for Tooth Fairy :):):) I found this blue box for the dollar sections at JoAnn's about a couple months ago and it was just perfect for this project!! The tooth image was stamped and coated with Glossy Accents by Ranger. All layeres were cut out with Nestabilities. The ribbon, buttons, dew drops, and Stickles were used for embellishing the box. I stamped the cute peom (from the set) inside of the box. Can you see I scratched "pocket" and wrote "box" instead??
The matching card can be Thank You card from the fairy to a child when she comes to take the tooth or can always be sent to someone special :) The fairy image was colored with Copics and accented with Stickles, along with the buttons & dew drops are used for embellishing the card.

Stamps: Fairly Good Day (There She Goes)
Paper: bashful blue, certainly celery (SU), desginer paper (DCWV), white cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento texudo black, VersaMagic gingerbread (Tsukineko), certainly celery (SU), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon. dew drops (Michael's), buttons (PTI), Glossy Accents, Stickles (Ranger), box (JoAnn's)

Tools: Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Scor-Pal

Now, it's another hop time!! The next hop is our favorite stamper, Silke!! When you finish leaving your comment to EACH trendsetter's Fairy Good Day post, go back to TSG blog and enter your name to Mr. Linky on the bottom of the blog hop challenge post. One lucky person of the challenge will win Fairy Good Day set!! The winner will be announced at TSG blog on Monday, Aug 31st.

TSG Dollar Find Friday -- Summer Project

Happy Friday everyone~
It's my turn to show something for TSG Doller Find Friday (DFF)!! For the people who don't know what the DFF is...every Friday, the one of There She Goes Trendsetters shows the altered project with the item for $1 or less. You can check the past DFF projects at Jessica's blog here.

I found the bag (shown below) at the summer crafts aisle at JoAnn's. I found a lot of great stuff for a buck there for summer crafts with kids :)

I stamped Flowers of Happiness as the photo shows with Palette hybrite ink.

Then I colored them with Copic markers.

I added the buttons and stamped the dots on the handles with the pencil erasers & VersaCraft inks ;)

Kimberly (my DD) and Mustang Sally (cat) posed for me :)

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!!

DFF -- Etched Mirror

Happy Friday, everyone!
Today is my turn to show a Dollar Find Friday project over Jessica's blog, There She Goes.
Every Friday, one of the TSG DT girls shows their altered project with an item that costs $1.00 or less. All other DFF projects can be found here.

I found the simple oval mirror at Dollar Tree and I like it because it can be come off from the frame easily. I decided to alter it with using the glass etching cream. It's a fun and easy technique. I strongly recommend to read the instruction on the bottle before start your project(s) to prevent accident(s).

Here is the list of the supplies for etching:

-Glass etching cream (I used Armour Etch and you can find at the major craft stores)
-stamps (Flowers of Friendship)
-VersaMark
-Clear embossing powder
-foam brush

Optional:
-StazOn
-ribbon (not shown)
-strong adhesive
- rhinestones (not shown)

1. Deassemble the mirror and clean the surface. For optional, I rubbed the surface with Embossing Buddy to prevent the statics.

2. Stamp the images with VersaMark and sprinkle the clear embossing powder on the image. Heat the embossed image with the heat gun and wait until cool completely.

3. With using the etching cream and foam brush, cover the entire surface evenly. Wait about 5-10 minutes and just rinse off the cream with warm water. The heated emboss powder should peel off at the same time. That's it! Your embossed images appears as non etched images :)

(OPTIONAL)
You can also
-Stamp the images with StazOn with the etched surface.
-Decorate with rhinestones, ribbon or paper pieces.

That's it from me. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

WT197 -- Quickie Gift Bag 2

SCS Way To Use It challenge 197 is to make a last minute gift. If you saw my last post, you already knew I made the last minute gift yesterday :) Anyway, I made another gift bag for the challenge and this time is for a M&Ms lover?

SCSのWay To Use Itチャレンジ197は、ラストミニットギフトを作るです。

I used the burlap bag for this project. You can purchase the same bag at There She Goes.
The only differences from the muslin gift bag I made, I snipped the square window with the scissors I just love the peek, especially the treats like M&Ms. To let you know, I put the M&Ms in the clear bag before putting into the burlap bag ;)

Stamps: Let's Get Together, Year Round Sentiments (TSG)
Paper: real red, wild wasabi, kraft (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: real red, glorious green (Stampin' Up!), VersaMagic (Tsukineko)
Accessories: burlap bag (TSG), Nestabilities (Spellbinders), tag punches, oval punches (Stampin' Up!)

Have a good day!

Quickie Gift Bag

Next Thursday is Christmas!! I love giving small gifts for my friends every holidays. Just a little something like candies, chocolates, coffee and bath sets to enjoy.
I made this gift bag for putting this yummy truffles :) You can purchase the muslin bag at There She Goes. Please click here to see the product detail.

Here is how I made:
First, I cut out the circle shape on the front of the bag with the circle Nestabilities die. Then I adhered the red circle ring to prevent from fraying. The ring were made with using 2 Nestabilities dies. And I just decorated the bag with stamps and VersaMagic inks. And I carefully turned the bag inside out.

Next, I cut out the clear sheet (I used the clear envelope) with the bigger size (I used 2 size bigger than the one used for the bag ) circle Nestabilities die. Then I used the strong double side tape like Sticky Strip to adhered the circle clear sheet to the circle window of the bag. When I attached the sticky tape, I peeled both protectors and rolled it like a thin rope. This way is easier to attach the tape on the curvy shapes like circles.

Again, I carefully turned the bag back to the right side. Then I attached the center image on the clear sheet, tied the tag and put the candies.

Here is another look:

I used TSG Year Round Sentiments set for the project.
Thank you for stopping by~

Dollar Find Friday

Hello everyone~
It's Friday finally!! It's also my week for Dollar Find Friday!! Every Friday, the one of There She Goes Design Team shares the tutorial of the altered project with stuff where is found at the Dollar Store. You can find the all DFF projects at Jessica's blog, There She Goes.

I went to Dollar Tree and found the wooden box as shown bellow. It was calling me to alter, lol. I hope you will like my altered tea box.

Supplies:

wooden box
stamps
acrylic paints
designer paper
inks
strong adhesive like sticky tape or glue dots
screw driver
die cuts, ribbons, copic markers (optional)

1. Disassemble the all hardware and set them aside.
Paint the wooden box with the acrylic paints. You probably have to paint a few times.

2. After the paint are dry, adhere the designer paper to the back of the lid.
The sticky tape works very well.

3. Stamp the images and color them if you like.
(I used Brilliance ink and Copic markers.)

4. This is how I decorated the lid.

5. Decorate inside & outside of the box as you like.
(I wrapped the ribbon around the box and added the sentiments.)
Reassemble the box and insert the tea bags.

I hope you like my altered tea box tutorial. If you have any questions, e-mail me anytime :)
Thank you for stopping by. Have a great weekend!
