FTTC120–Color Combination

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC120). Cindy has provided a wonderful color combination for us to play.

The colors are Cranberry, Caramel, Dark Grey and /or Brown.

You can visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your card/project!

SONY DSC

I decided to make a Father’s Day card with the color combo. The image and sentiment are from A Guiding Light. The image was stamped and colored with Copic Markers (Flesh Tones 1, Flesh Tones 2, Cool Neautrals and Dusty Rose) and highlighted with white gel pen. The clouds on the background was sponged with two different colors – light blue and caramel. I used Lattice Rectangle Nestabilities to create the frame. The sentiment was dressed with metal label and attached with silver brads over the waved border and brown twill tape. To finish off the card, I embellished the silver pearls.

KS Monday–Feeling Pink :)

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Monday everyone~ Happy Memorial Day to my friends in the U.S.

I hope your weekend was wonderful. There have been a lot of events for the weekend and I have enjoyed staying outside more than usual :)

I made two cards for Kitchen Sink Monday and I used *pink* for both! Definitely they make my post sweet and lovely, lol.

KSS FSCC21

The first card was used Multi Step Gift, Multi Step Bunch O’ Balloon and Simple Sentiments. I rotated the sketch from Friday Sketch Carte Challenge 21 (FSCC21). I’ve submitted this to KSOCBirthday also.

The balloon was stamped with the following steps: 1st – Memento angel pink, 2nd – Memento rose bud (1 x stamp off), 3rd – rose bud, 4th – SU rose red.  The gift box was stamped as 1st – angel pink, 2nd – rose bud (1 x stamp off), 3rd – rose bud, 4th – rose red. The bow was stamped as 1st – Memento desert sand, 2nd – Memento rich cocoa (1 x stamp off), 3rd – rich cocoa, 4th - SU early espresso.

SONY DSC

The next card was CAS card as you see. I’ve submitted to Monday 10 Minutes Card 21 (10M21). I used Multi Step Sweet Heart Roses. Before I started to make this card, I had to try which image worked for the resisting technique. It was the Step 3 image in my opinion. After the image was heat embossed with clear embossing powder, I used Memento angel pink and rose bud to ink over the resisted image. Then I stamped the “XOXO” just below the image and dressed with the rhinestones.

If you have some KSS Stamps & love to play some challenges with us, you can visit HERE to check our daily challenges. We always welcome your ideas & suggestions as well ;)

SONY DSC

The first card is definitely outside of my comfort zone…but I was in CAS mood for the last couple days (that means you are going to see some CAS style cards in my blog this week). I played with 10 Minutes Card challenge 19 (10MC19) using Multi Step A Cup of Warm Comfort set. To tell the truth, it tool more than 10 minutes to create this because I messed up while stamping the image and I had to recreate the main mat :P

The hot chocolate was stamped with the following steps: 4th – SU Early Espresso, 3rd – SU chocolate chip (1 x stamp off), 2nd – SU crumb cake (1 x stamp off), repeat 2nd step, 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).  The chocolate chip cookies were stamped with 3rd – early espresso, 2nd – crumb cake, 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).

I also have submitted this card to Crazy 4 Challenges 87 (C4C87) -Have some image related to ‘chocolate’ on your card/project.

SONY DSC

The next card was used the sketch from Friday Sketch Carte Challenge 19 (FSCC19) . All images and sentiment are from 3 Step Hey Chick! set. The color combo was inspired by CR84FN Color Challenge 28 (CR84FN28) . Some of the DT’s cards totally inspired me to use these baby chicks :)

The chicks were stamped with the following steps: 4th – SU chocolate chip, 3rd – SU more mustard, 2nd – SU daffodil delight, 1st – daffodil delight (1 x stamp off).

KS Monday–Remember…

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

I hope all moms had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday. My kids gave me a sweet handmade and I had a little time to stamp :) Cannot argue with that!

SONY DSC

Today’s card is not the colors I usually use for lilacs/flowers but I like how it was turned out! I used Multi Step Lilacs set for the image and Vintage Words for the word “REMEMBER”. I think this sepia monochromatic lilacs work for the vintage elements I used.

The lilacs were stamped with the following steps: 4th – SU Early Espresso, 3rd – SU chocolate chip (1 x stamp off), 2nd – SU crumb cake, 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).  The stems were stamped with 2nd – early espresso, 1st – crumb cake. The leaf was stamped with 3rd – early espresso, 2nd – crumb cake, 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).

I’ve submitted this card to Friday Sketch Carte Challenge 18 (FSCC18) , Tuesday Kitchen Pantry Challenge 15 (KPC15)Monochromatic colors, Wednesday Stock Up on Occasion Challenge (KSOCFlowers) .

I used one of the newest digi stamps, Abby’s Birdhouse. Isn’t is cute or what? I simply adore the image! The color combo was based on the designer paper and the image was colored with Copic markers. To finish off the card, I embellished with ribbon and pearls.
