Christmas_8800_13_edited

I had a little fun with for the circle and the thin border on the bottom :) I used Ornament Penguin (8820-J) for the image and Coolest Christmas (8803-F) for the sentiment.  The image was colored with Copic markers and adhered on the thin frost glitter strip, which was created with the adhesive tape. The sentiment was stamped on the ribbon tag and attached with the ribbon and rhinestones on the striped designer paper.

I used this beautiful stamp set, Petal & Peace with the coordinated die set, Tailor-Made Classic Key Hole Die. The image was colored with Copic markers and I created a bookmark. The bookmark was dressed with the seam binding ribbon and little circle metal rim tag. The sentiment, “Just for you” from Sweets of the Season. The card was designed with the cardstock and MME designer papers. I created the pocket to insert the bookmark and adhered the sentiment piece and added the tea roses.

    KS Monday–Joy

    Ornaments_and_Starts_2_edit

    Hello everyone~

Whew! Our Thanksgiving break was over! My kids are going back to school only for 3 more weeks and they are off for the winter vacation… boy, it is getting so close to Christmas, isn’t it?! I’ve got to get busy!! – I am such a procrastinator and it shows a lot during the holiday season, lol!

For today’s Kitchen Sink Monday, I decided to create a clean and simple card. I used Multi Step Ornament and Stars and Snow Flurry . I stamped a “J” and “Y” first and added the ornament between them as an “O”.

The ornament was stamped as following these steps:  5th – SU not quite navy, 4th – SU taken with teal,  3rd – taken with teal (1 x stamp off), 2nd – SU baja breeze, 1st – baja breeze (1 x stamp off).

The ornament was dressed with the baker’s twine. The rest of card was decorated with the embossed snowflakes border and snowflakes designer paper. This card was so quick to make and I think it was turned out cute! I am thinking making more for the rest of this year’s Christmas cards :)

For my card, I used Forest of Trees set for the image. I stamped the tree with the dark green ink on the mat and sponged the mat with the brown ink. Then I did the dryer sheet technique. The card was designed with the cardstock and designer papers. The greeting from Sentimental Christmas was stamped on the label. To finish off, I attached the ribbon with button and embellished the pearls.

The color combo was used from CR84FN Color Challenge (CR84FN43).

  • KS Monday–Positive and Negative

    Holly_&_Mistletoe_2-1_edite

Hello and happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~

My kids are in the Thanksgiving break this week and I am going to have less time to stamp unfortunately ;) However, the less time doesn’t mean that I create the less cards! I managed to make two card with less time for today’s KS Monday!!

    FTL167

I used 3 Step Holly & Mistletoe for both cards. I designed the holly patterned paper with a 1/4 card size and punched out the circle with the circle Nestabilities. Then I used both of the positive (the circle mat) and negative (the circle window mat) and create two CAS cards. They were used the same sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping (FTL167). It is a kind of fun that they look so different just changing the amount of white space :)

Each image was stamped as following these steps:

    Holly – 3rd – SU garden green, 2nd – SU wild wasabi, 1st – SU pear pizzazz.

    Berry – 3rd – SU cherry cobbler, 2nd – SU real red (1 x stamp off), 1st – SU pink pirouette.

    Mistletoe – 2nd – wild wasabi , 3rd – garden green, 1st – pear pizzazz.

    Bow – 3rd – cherry cobbler, 2nd – real red (1 x stamp off), 1st – SU regal rose.

    Holly_&_Mistletoe_2-2_edite

For this card, I used the negative (the circle window). The mat was lightly sponged with the ink. The mistletoe and bow were stamped on the card base. Then I adhered the holly mat on the card base and frames on the circle window. Simply I added the sentiment.

    Holly_&_Mistletoe_2-3_edite

This one was used the positive (the circle mat). The mat was sponged with the ink and layered on the lacey circle mat.  The card base was dry embossed with the embossing folder. To finish off, I adhered the sentiment mat.

Be sure to check out what other KS Crews are cookin’ for KS Monday today!!

For my card, I used Feminine Charm set. The image was colored with Copic markers and it was layered on the red mat and black mat. The edge of the black mat was created with the around edge punches. Using the same punch,  I created the border. For the border, I adhered the MME designer paper collection, pleated edge ribbon and swirl rhinestone border. The card was designed with the same designer paper collection and coordinated color cardstock. To finish off, I embellished with the red paper rose and pine needles. The red rose was sprayed with the frost shimmer spritz and DTPed with brilliance white ink to look softer and shimmer :)

I used the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS134).

    Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge (FTTC144)!! Tammy is challenging us to use *flags* in your design! Whether it’s a flag image, or a sentiment flag, or pennants. Whatever you think represents a flag! What a fun challenge!

Please visit Flourishes Blog for more information about the challenge. Looking forward to seeing your creation!!

    Enjoy_The_Ride_4-2_edited

I have had Spellbinders Nested Pennants and Nested Lacey Pennants for a while and decided to use them for my challenge card. I used Enjoy the Ride for the image. It was stamped directly on the designer paper and colored with Copic markers. The word “Celebrate” placed wonderfully as a sentiment, don’t you think? I created the pennants with the same cardstock and designer paper collection with the card. Then I attached the buttons with vintage twine and placed on the card. To finish off, I embellished with the swirl pearls and clustered the pearls around the pennants.

  • KS Monday–Warm Winter Wishes

    Invisible_Snowman_2-1_edited

Hello and happy Monday…another week is started and hope you will have a great one!

I was in the mood to make some holiday cards this weekend and decided to bring back my lovely snowman set for today’s Kitchen Sink Monday!!

I used Multi Step Invisible Snowman set. I like how the snowman was turned out after stamping each image! I also like the double embossing technique for the card design. I used the technique for the past challenge assignment recently. Although it was my first time to try and I had to waste a couple card sheets until getting it right, I really liked the technique after all! The process is pretty easy (once you find out what you’re doing, lol) and gives a wonderful look on cards. If you’re interested in the how-to, you can follow HERE for the great tutorial by Beate from SplitcoaststampersI recommend to go there so that you won’t make same mistakes I did :P

    Invisible_Snowman_2-2_edite

To create the snowman, I masked a circle shape first and then sponged ink on the inside of the frame (the frame was added after all sponging and stamping were done).

Each snowman piece was stamped as following these steps: Buttons and Coals – 2nd – Memento tuxedo black, 1st – tuxedo black (1 x stamp off), Carrot – 3rd – SU cajun craze (1 x stamp off), 2nd – SU pumpkin pie, 1st – pumpkin pie (1 x stamp off), Pipe – 3rd – SU early espresso, 2nd – SU chocolate chip, 1st – SU crumb cake, Scarf – 2nd – SU riding hood red, 1st – riding hood red (1 x stamp off), Hat – 4th – tuxedo black, 3rd – SU basic gray, 2nd – basic gray (1 x stamp off), 1st – Memento london fog.

The hat and scarf were stamped on the scrap paper, trimmed and adhered on the snowman. The hearts were stamped with SU riding hood red. You can see I stamped off once for the middle heart and twice for the top heart. To finish off, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom corner.

    Hello everyone~

Happy Veteran’s Day!! Thank you for all veterans who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Because of them, I can live with my family and do what I love for my spare time like stamping :)

I have one card to show you for Sweet ‘N Sassy Digi challenge (SNSDC28)!! The challenge is *Paper Piecing* – Use a paper piecing technique for your creation! This is one of my favorite technique to do beside coloring!

Here are some details about the challenge:

~You can use any digital stamps. Only requirement is the image has to be digital – but if you have any digital stamps from Sweet ‘N Sassy Stamps, we’d love you to use them!

~In addition to the regular monthly challenge prize, ONE participant, chosen randomly, will receive 4 free digis EACH WEEK!! Like our regular challenge, no requirements to use SNSS Digi stamps as long as your images are digital.

You can visit SNS Digi Challenge Blog for more information about the challenge and find out how to win free digital stamps from SNS. Can’t wait to see your creation!

For my card, I used Bundled Up Snowman Digi for the image. The snowman was partially colored with Copic markers and paper pieced with the two kinds of designer papers. I think it turned out so cute! The card was designed with the cardstock and the same paper collection I used for the paper piecing. The sentiment was from You’re a Doll Digi set. To finish off, I embellished with paper snowflakes and silver pearls.

The background was stamped with Foliage Positive (6002-M). The sentiment from Quartet Compliments was stamped on a scalloped oval panel and attached on the bottom of the strip.
