I had so much fun with inking and coloring this cute girl from My Favorite Things. I used the sketch from another Midnight Madness Sketch Challnege (MMSC83) – fancy version…if you are following my blog, I’ve used MMSC sketches for the last three weeks :) This card can be perfect to send anytime during the winter – Valentine’s day! I had a little hard time to match the color with the girl’s outfit and bravo burgundy but I think it’s close enough ;)

Isn’t she so cute and groovy? My daughter is into peace signs and hippie style right now and my supply lists also started collecting the flower power theme :) The stamp image from My Favorite Things was colored with Copic markers and I stamped the sentiment from Flourishes right below the image. I also added the Stickles on the peace sign.

This is the background paper that I designed with Peace Signs stamps from Inkadinkado. Gotta love stamping!!

For assembling the rest of elements, I used the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #82 (MMSC82)fancy version.

CC215 & Mojo sketches

Hello again!
It was a very pleasant day here in Texas but I stayed inside and stamped, hehe.
I made 2 cards today. Both cards were used SCS Color Combination 215 (CC215) and Mojo Monday Sketches.

This card was used the sketch of Mojo83. There She Goes sells some funny stamp sets and the one from Tastes Like Chicken is the funniest IMO, lol! This trailer is the redneck version of "Pimp My Ride" I hardly name my cards because they get attached more...;) for this one, however, I named it "Pimp My Trailer!" The trailer was colored with Copics and on the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment "don't bother knockin'." I'm wondering if I ever have a circumstance to send it for someone...;)

Stamps: Tastes Like Chicken, Frendship Flowers (There She Goes)
Paper: rose red, pink pirouette, basic gray (SU), white cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), rose red (SU), Copic markers
Accessories: rhinestones, heart jewels (Q&Co.)

Tools: CB embossing folders, decorative corner punch, border punch (EK Success)

The next one was used the sketch of Mojo82. I had many stamps that would fit on the main panel but this image from My Favorite Things caught my eyes. I just made one card but it would be cool with a gift basket with Spa products :)
The image was colored with Copics and raised with the dimensional adhesives. For the wrought iron corners, I punched them on the scrap and trimmed just swirl parts and adhered them on the card.

Stamps: Annie LaPointe (MFT)
Paper: basic gray, rose red, pink pirouette, Parisian Summer dp (SU), white cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon (SU), pearls

Tools: Nestabilities, wrought iron coner punch, border punch (EK Success), piercing tool

That's it for now. Thank you for stopping by again.

Dare to Get Dirty '08

I'm sorry for being away from my blog for the last 2 weeks!
I was very busy with .....making cards!!
I am a member of SCS fan club and they just had a week long event, Dare to Get Dirty '08 for the fan club members. Some of the Dirty Girls posted the challenges on the fan club site, and I decided to participate this year for the first time!!

The event was held from Jul 21-27, but it took me for a couple more days to finish all of the challenge.

-- This card is combined 2 challenges - SCS's Color Combinations challenge 176 & Dare to Get Dirty '08 (DTGD08) Laurie's challenge-"Got Vellum?"

I used the printed vellum for the background and dry embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder. The image by Sarah Kay was colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. To tie the ribbons was a little tricky, but I somehow made it look nice.

Stamps: Sarah Kay (Stampavie)
Paper: soft sky, river rock, very vanilla (Stampin' Up!), vellum (NRN Designs)
Ink: river rock (Stampin' Up!)Palette noir black (Superior), Prismacolor pencils (Sanford),

DTGD08JulieHRR -- "Embrace the white space"

It was the challenge to use white on base and make a simple card
I don't usually make white base cards because I'm a messy stamper, lol. However I really like the simple look of the white base.
I used Floral Frenzy stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I did only white cardstock with no layers. I dry embossed with Nestabillities, and made a little slit for the ribbon.

Stamps: Floral Frenzy (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: white cardstock, lavender moon (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: lavender moon, dark chocolate, spring moss (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: ribbon (Papertrey Ink), border punch (Martha Stewart from Michael's), Nestabillities (Spellbinders)

DTGD08Jody -- "It's all about the ribbon!"

For this challenge, I had to choose the ribbons, and I made the card with them in the mind. My ribbon for this card was the red, pink and gray striped ribbon! You can see I took the inspiration from it to make the card.

Stamps: What's Up Cupcake? (My Favorite Things)
Paper: going gray, rose romance, real red (Stampin' Up!), white cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: going gray, rose romance (Stampin' Up!), Brilliance (Tsukineko), copics (.Too)

SC186, DTGD08Christine, DTGD08Lauren -- I managed to combine 3 challenges for this card: SCS's Skethc challenge 186, DTGD08 Christine's challenge - "Watercoloring" and DTGD08 Lauren's challenge - "Monochromatic colors"

The image was stamped on the watercolor paper and colored with the reinkers and watercolor brush. I also colored another flower image, cut it out and mounted on the main image to make the dimensional look.

Stamps: Flower Garden (Stampin' Up!), Flourishing (Green Grass Stamps)
Paper: perfect plum, pale plum, elegant eggplant (Stampin' Up!), watercolor paper (Sttrathmore)
Ink: basic black, perfect plum, reinkers (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories: ribbon (Papertrey Ink)

DTGD08Michelle -- "Masculine card"

For this card, I stamped the elephant, drew the image with the embossing marker and heat embossed with the clear embossing powder. Each trees were stamped with the brown ink and colored with Stampin' markers. Then I did the same heat embossing technique for the trees like I did for the elephant (I did this process to one tree at the time). After all the trees were done, I sponged for the grass, sky and shadow.

Stamps: In The Wild, Lovely As a Tree (Stampin' Up!), sentiment (Penny Black)
Paper: always artichoke, bravo burgundy (Stampin' Up!), white cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
