Happy Birthday to Me!

Hello everyone~
March 13th is my birthday :) My mother-in-law was going to take me for shopping but it's raining hard and very cold here today so we decided to postpone the day-out to anther day. Since I got a time to diddle around the house, I played my Photoshop Elements and changed my blog layout! I got the background and banner at House of Three. What do you think about the new appearance??

３月１３日は、私の誕生日です：）義母と一緒に買い物に行く予定でしたが、雨が降り続いている上に、とても寒い日なので、買い物は別の日に延期にしました。
時間ができたことから、フォトショップエレメントを使って、ブログの模様替えをしたんですが、どう思いますか?ブログの壁紙やヘッダーは、Tipoさんのブログで紹介されていたサイト、House of Threeで購入しました。

I also made this birthday card today... I know, I know it's a kind of tacky making an own birthday card! I just made it for fun and send it for somebody else. And I added the butterfly for SCS Limited Supplies challenge 219 (LSC219).
The images were colored with Copics and added some highlights with the white gel pen. I also added the bling to match this dramatic color combo.

後、このバースデーカードも作りました。。。自分の誕生日に、バースデーカードを作るなんて、オイオイって感じですが（笑）いつか、どなたかの誕生日に使いたいと思います。それと、このカードでは、SCSのリミットサプライチャレンジ２１９(LSC219)の為に、蝶を追加でつけました。
イメージは、コピックで色を付け、ハイライトに白のジェルペンを使っています。それと、このドラマチックな色合いに合わせて、ラインストーンを付けてカードを完成させました。

2nd Stamp Carnival in Japan

2nd Stamp Carnival was held in Tokyo about a month ago. Unfortunately I could not make it due to the distance and the cost of the airplane ticket.

While I had to stay here, I made ATCs for the event swap and 2 cards for the card contest.
Although my cards were not chosen for any awards, I had a lot of fun with making these ones.　The best part is that I could participate any ways for the only stamp event in Japan!

約１カ月前に、第２回スタンプカーニバルが東京で催しされました。残念ながら、距離と飛行機代の関係で、足を運ぶ事が出来ませんでした(悲）

カーニバルには行けませんでしたが、スワップ用のＡＴＣとコンテスト用に２枚カードを作りました。
日本で唯一のスタンプが主のイベントにこういう形でも参加できたので良かったです。


My ATC for the swap

I made 2 versions for the ATC. I stamped the hydrangea image and colored with the Copic markers. And I masked the image and stamped the swirl image and the definition for the background. I sponged some ink to added the colors and outlined the hydrangea image to emhasize the image. I stamped the sentiment "bloom" and cut it with the xacto knife.

色違いで２種類のＡＴＣを作りました。アジサイのイメージをスタンプし、コピックで色付けした後、マスキングをして、スワール柄のスタンプとデフィニションのスタンプでバックグランドを作りました。あとはインクとスポンジを使って色を付けてあります。白のジェルペンで、アウトラインしアジサイのイメージを誇張させました。言葉の「bloom」は、スタンプした後、カッターナイフで切りとる作業をしています。

The theme for the contest was "Summer"

The Sunflower card:
I colored the image with the Copic markers. As you can see with the close up photo, I added some glitter with Stickles on the butterfly and the flowers.
For the back panel with the flowers, I stamped the flower stamp and colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. After all the coloring were done, I stamped the canvas stamps on the panel.
The stamps are from Lockhart Stamp Company and Papertrey Ink

The Beach card:
I colored the center image with the Copic markers. The card was made the same process with this card I made before. When I made this card, I was really into making beach scenes! I thought it was a nice summer card.
The stamps are from Stampin' Up!

コンテストのテーマは、｢夏のカード」でした。

ひまわりカード：
メインのイメージは、コピックマーカーで色を付けました。クロースアップの写真でわかると思いますが、、蝶々とお花にＳｔｉｃｋｌｅｓでラメをつけてあります。
後ろの花のパネルは、花のスタンプを捺した後、プリズマカラーペンシルと、モルツベンで色を付けました。全体に色を付けた後、キャンバス地のスタンプを捺しました。
スタンプは、Lockhart Stamp CompanyとPapertrey Inkです。

ビーチカード：
メインのイメージは、コピックマーカーで色付けしました。このカードの作り方は、以前作ったこのカードと同じ方法で作成しました。ピーチの風景を作るのにちょっと嵌った時期があって、このカードもその時期に作ったカードです。夏らしいカードだと思い、コンテストにも送る事にしました。
スタンプは、Stampin' Up! です。

各賞の受賞者の作品は、こちらで見ることが出来ます。
海外と違う所は、日本はスタンパーさんが、消しゴムスタンプを独自で作っている所。消しゴムスタンプアートの素晴らしさに圧巻されっぱなしです。私もいつか、素敵な消しゴムスタンプを作れるようになりたいです。

Dare to Get Dirty '08 -- Part 2

DTGD08Jenn -- "Inspiration challenge" Make a card with using the cake photo as a inspiration.
Ｊｅｎｎ(ジェン）さんのチャレンジ -- ”インスピレーションチャレンジ”このケーキの写真を基にカードを作る。


The dress was stamped on the printed vellum. To make the background, I stamped the same dress stamp on the white cardstock first and masked the dress and the egdes of the cardstock. Then I stamped the script and swirl stamps. After the ink was dried, I sponged the green ink around the egde.
I took the inspiration from the green ribbon, and I attached my ribbon wavy like the photo.
ドレスは、プリントされたヴェラムに捺しました(前に使ったヴェラムの残りです）。バックグランドは、白のカードストックに同じドレスのスタンプを捺し、そのドレスと、カードストックの４辺をマスキングし、スクリプトとスワールのスタンプを捺しました。インクが乾いた後、緑のインクを使って端だけスポンジしました。
写真のリボンの影響を受け、私のカードのリボンも波が少し入っています。

DTGD08Sharon -- "Stamp Simply"　
Sharon (シャロン）さんのチャレンジ--” スタンプシンプル”



This challenge was to make a simple card. Sharon says "if you use beautiful things, you don't have to DO much" I think it's so true!! I chose this beautiful flower stamp and I just made this image do all the work.
I used Nestabillities to make the window so that the inside of the card could be seen.
The flower was colored with Copics and sponged the opening part only. "K" was supposed to stand for "Kindness", but I guess you can use as an initial for the person's name that starts with "K".
このチャレンジは、「シンプルなカードを作る」です。シャロンさんがチャレンジの説明の中で、「美しいものを使う時は、そんなに色々しなくていいのよ」と述べていたんですが、正にその通りだと思いました。
そこで、この美しい花のスタンプを使い、後は、この花のイメージが全てを語れるようなカードを作ろうと思いました。
ネスタビリティーを使って、オーバルの窓を作り、カードの中が見えるようにしてあります。花は、コピック出色付けをし、開いている部分だけ、スポンジで色を付けました。「Ｋ」は、「Kindness」の頭文字をとっているんですが、イニシャルが「Ｋ」の方に、このカードをあげてもいいかもしれません。

This challenge was Sketch challenge! I rotated the sketch with 90 degree right and flipped vertically.
このチャレンジは、スケッチチャレンジでした。私のカードは、スケッチを90度右に回し、縦にひっくり返しました。

DTGD08Joan -- "Silhouettes"
Joan (ジョアン)さんのチャレンジ-- "シルエット"


This challenge is using solid object stamps and to make a card. When I use solid stamps, I love to make shadow looks. I actually used only 2 stamps for making background! For some of the flowers, I stamped with the peach color and heat embossed with the clear embossing powder. For the rest of the flowers, I just stamped off with the peach color. For the leaves, I just stamped with the green color for the leaves and light sand color for the shadows.
このチャレンジは、「ソリッドなイメージのスタンプを使いカードを作る」でした。ソリッドなスタンプを使う時に、私は影を作るテクニックが気に入っています。このカードでは、2種類のスタンプだけを使ってバックグランドを作りました。花のいくつかは、桃色のインクでスタンプを捺した後、クリアエンボスパウダーでヒートエンボスしました。残りの花は、桃色のインクをスタンプオフしました。葉は、緑色のインクと淡い砂色のインクを使って、スタンプしました。

Paper: close to cocoa, certainly celery, very vanilla (Stampin' Up!)

Ink: groovy guava, certainly celery, sahara sand, close to cocoa (Stampin' Up!) embossing marker (EK Success)

DTGD08Taylor, DTGD08RoseAnn -- I combined 2 challenges for this card. Taylor's challenge is "Cupcake Challenge" and Rose Ann's challenge is "Let's Get Flappy!"
このカードは、2つのチャレンジを組み合わせてあります。Taylor(テイラー）さんのチャレンジ-- "カップケーキチャレンジ"とRose Ann(ローザン）さんのチャレンジ--"レッツゲットフラッピー！"




For these challenge, I had to use the cupcake image (s) and also make the flap card. You can find the flap card tutorial here.
The cupcake was paper pierced for just the bottom part, and the top part was colored with Copics. To make it look yummier and sweeter, I used frosted lace Stickles. I also added the jewel for the cherry {Yum!}
My flap card is 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". For the flap part, I used Nestabillities and the cupcake panel is actually holding the flap to stay shut.
カップケーキのイメージを取り入れ、フラップカードを作りました。フラップカードの作り方はここに載っています。
カップケーキの下半分は、ペーパーピアシングをし、上半分はコピック出色付けしました。もう少し、甘くて美味しそうに見せる(笑）ために、Sticklesのフロストレースを使いました。後は、さくらんぼの部分にライムストーンを付けてあります(美味しそう！）。
このフラップカードは、4 1/2インチ　ｘ　4 1/2インチです。フタになる部分は、ネスタビリティーを使ってカットし、カップケーキのパネルが、ふたの部分を押さえるようにしてあります。

This card is for SCS's Limited Supplies challenge 176. The challenge was to make a card with a "Summer" theme. And there are more restrictions--no more than 3 layers + card base, limited embellishments, no patterned papers.
このカードはＳＣＳのリミットサプライチャレンジ１７６で作りました。チャレンジは、｢夏のカードを作る」。そして、カードベース＋３レイヤーまで、エンベリッシュメントは最低限に抑える、パターンペーパーは使っちゃ駄目という規制も入っています。

This is the card version of the summer ATC I posted in a while ago. Actually, I made this card first, and I really liked how it turned out so I decided to make the ATC with the same way.
The only difference from the ATC was that I colored the main image with prismacolor pencils and gamsol.
このカードは、以前更新した夏のＡＴＣのカードバージョンです。というか、初めにこのカードを作り、出来上がりが結構気に入ったので、ＡＴＣも同じ様に作る事にしました。
ＡＴＣとの違いは、メインのイメージをプリズマカラーペンシルとガムソル（モルツベン）で着色しただけです。

ATC -- black & white, challenges

I made a few ATCs for the last couple months, and forgot to upload them here (oops!)
ここ数ヶ月の間、何枚かＡＴＣを作ったんですが、アップするのをすっかり忘れていました(筈）


Black & White ATC -- Happiness

I made this ATC for Black & White ATC swap.
The card base is a patterned paper with glitters. I took most of my ATC's idea from the patterned paper. The background is stamped 2 different stamps and colors, but it's really hard to see the light color one.
Next, I stamped the swirl stamp with black brilliance ink, and I traced some of the swirl lines with VarsaMark pen and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.
I mounted the flowers with the black brad and stamped the words with black brilliance ink. I also drew the straight lines with the black pigment pen.

このＡＴＣは、ブラック・ホワイトＡＴＣスワップで作ったものです。
カードベースは、グリッターが付いたパターンペーパーです。このＡＴＣの構成の殆どを、このパターンペーパーを元に作りました。バックグランドは、２種類のスタンプと、２色のインクを使っていますが、薄い色の方は、写真からでは見難いかも・・・。
次に、スワールのスタンプを黒のブリリアンスで捺し、スワールのラインのいくつかをＶａｒｓａＭａｒｋペンでなぞり、銀のエンボスパウダーでヒートエンボスしました。
黒のブラッドを使って花を付け、言葉のスタンプを黒のブリリアンスで捺しました。後は、黒のペンで直線を描いてあります。

Love ATC! challenge 10

I made this ATC for Love ATC! challenge 10 from Mixi (Japanese community site -it's similar to My Space). The challenge was to stamp with household goods.
このＡＴＣは、ＭｉｘｉのコミュニティーLove ATC!のチャレンジ１０で作ったものです。チャレンジは、「家にあるものを使ってスタンプしてみよう」でした。

I thought and thought. And I couldn't find anything but saran wraps.
I inked the crinkled saran wrap and stamped on the pink cardstock randomly. After I stamped the flower image, I mounted the smaller flower onto the image and put some Stickles.
I stamped the sentiment on the twill tape and mounted it with brads.
考えに考えた挙句、サランラップしか見つかりませんでした。
くちゃくちゃに丸めたサランラップにインクを付け、ピンクのカードストックにペタペタと捺しました。花のスタンプを捺した後、小さい花のイメージをその上に貼り、Ｓｔｉｃｋｌｅｓを付けました。
ツイルテープ(布テープ）に言葉をスタンプし、ブラッドで付けてあります

Stamps: Women of Life (Papertrey Ink)

Paper: kraft (Stampin' Up!), sweet blush (Papertrey Ink)

Ink: close to cocoa (Stampin' Up!), berry sorbet (Papertrey Ink)

Accessories: twill tape (Purple Onion Designs), brads (Making Memories), Stickles (Ranger)

Love ATC! Challenge 11


I didn't forget this ATC because I just made it for a couple days ago!!!
This ATC is also for Love ATC! challenge. The challenge 11 was to use summer/beach stamp(s) and use blue somewhere.
このＡＴＣは、先日作ったばかりなのでアップは忘れずに出来ました！！
こちらもLove ATC!チャレンジで作ったものです。チャレンジ１１は、「夏の海にまつわるスタンプを使う・青をどこかに使う」でした。

As soon as I found out what the challenge was, I knew what stamps I wanted to use!!
I colored the chair image with copics. For making the beach scene, I just used masking technique and sponged the inks for sand, ocean and sky. When I sponged the ink for sky, I also used my hand-made cloud template.
To finish the ATC I did some doodling for the birds and waves, and I put some Stickles for the sand.
このチャレンジの内容を知った後、直ぐに使いたいスタンプが見つかりました！！
椅子のイメージは、コピックで色を付け、ビーチシーンは、マスキングテクニックを使って、砂浜、海、空を夫々スポンジでインクを付けただけです。空をスポンジする際、自分で作った雲のテンプレートを使っています。
終わりに、鳥と波を手描きし、Ｓｔｉｃｋｌｅｓを砂浜に付けてあります。

More Cards - part 2

Cupcakes for anyone?
This card is for Our Creative Corner challenge. This challenge was to use Basic Grey!! I love Basic Grey, but I hardly use them... maybe because the papers are too pretty to use, lol.
After I chose which papers to use, I chose the stamps I wanted to use. The cupcake stamp is from Lockhart Stamp Ｃompany. I love their outline images, and this cupcake is one of my favorites.
When I cut the card base, I cut the wrong size. I had to put brown scalloped border I made to make the card stand. It ended the card make prettier, I think. I also used the ribbon for more borders.
I colored the cupcakes with Copics and paper-pieced the part of the cakes.

このカードは、Our Creative Cornerチャレンジで作ったものです。今回のチャレンジは、「Basic Greyを使う」でした！！Basic Grey は大好きなんですが、あまり使う事がありません・・・多分、デザインが素敵過ぎてとって置きたくなるからだと思います(笑）
初めに使う紙を決め、それからスタンプを選びました。カップケーキのスタンプは、Lockhart Stamp Companyのです。アウトラインの素敵なデザインがあるので気に入ってます。このカップケーキは、その中でも気に入っている１つです。
カードベースをカットした時、間違ったサイズをカットしてしまい、パンチで作った茶色のスカロップボーダーをつける事にしました。結局、この方が可愛さが増したような気がします。リボンもボーダーとして使いました。
カップケーキは、コピックマーカーで色を塗り、ケーキの部分だけペーパーピアシングしました。

今回のフィーチャースタンパーは、ミッシェルさん（SCS name - Chelemom)です。スクラップブックもしている彼女なので、多数のデザインチームにも参加されています。
こちらのカードをケースしました。

The house was colored with Copics and distressed with ink around the edge. I also used Stickles for the windows. You can get this house stamp at only Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
家は、コピックで色を付け、パネルの周りをインクでディストレスしました。窓には、Ｓｔｉｃｋｌｅｓを使っています。この家のスタンプは、Sweet 'n Sassy Stampsでのみの販売です。
