FTTC167–Thinking of You Butterfly

Fanciful_Flourishes_fllc_1-1_edited

Hello and happy Tuesday!! It is also 1st day of May (already). My son just reminded me that only 5 more weeks till school is out!! I hope the next 5 weeks will pass as slow as possible, lol!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC167)!! Cindy is challenging us to use a *butterfly (butterflies)* for your creation. Please visit Flourishes blog for more information about the challenge.

Fanciful_Flourishes_fllc_1-2_edited

For my card, I used the butterfly image from Fanciful Flourishes. I stamped the butterfly silhouette on Classic White cardstock twice with pink ink and one of the butterflies was also stamped with the flourish butterfly with Memento rich cocoa. They were stacked one another for the dimension and adhered on the tag of Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3 die. The tag was embellished with Want2Scrap Nestabling. I used the Kaiser Bonjour designer papers and colored cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Botanical Bookplates Vol.2 and cut out with SB Fancy Tags die. The mat was sponged with Memento summer sky. The card was tied with the satin finish cotton ribbon and embellished with the vintage twine. Then the tag that was created with Tiny Flowers and Tags set and Tailor-Made Classic Tags die, and the paper rose were added to finish off.

I used the color combo from CR84FN Color Challenge (CR84FN53).

Be sure to check out other FOF’s creations too!

SNSDC51–Quote Inspiration

Sweet_N_Sassy_61-2_edited

Happy Friday everyone~

It is time for Sweet ‘N Sassy Digi Challenge (SNSDC51)!! The challenge is to get your inspiration from the quote " Sweet April showers do spring May flowers" -Thomas Tusser and make a card/project!

You can use any digital stamps. Only requirement is the image has to be digital – but if you have any digital stamps from Sweet ‘N Sassy Stamps, we’d love you to use them! You can visit SNS Digi Challenge Blog for more information about the challenge and find out how to win free digital stamps from SNS. Can’t wait to see your creation!

Sweet_N_Sassy_61-1_edited

After I read the quote, I immediately thought about beautifully bloomed flowers after rain showers. For my card, I used Morning Glory Digi for the image and colored it with Copic markers. Then I cut out the image with SB Label 12 Nestabilities. I also paper pieced the flowers for the dimension and added Glossy Accents to mimic the dews. (Hope you see them…it really looks great!) I used one of the sentiments from Garden Sentiments Digi Set for the saying. The background was used Prima designer paper and the bottom edge was punched with MS edger punch. I used the wide striped ribbon and embellished with silver pearls.

This is such a gorgeous set and surprisingly very easy to stamp each step!! It is perfect for Mother’s Day for sure! (If my mom was still with me, this would be the card I give because Iris is her favorite flower).

I let the image stand out so I decided to keep the card clean and simple.

    Iris_KSS_1-2_edited

The image was stamped with these steps:
Iris: 4th -  VersaFine imperial purple, 3rd – Memento grape jelly, 2nd – Memento danube blue (1 x stamp off), 1st – Memento summer sky

I have a quite few sets I am very fond of but I decided to ink this beautiful set, Butterflies & Blossoms. It is my favorite one to color and they have flowers, butterflies & wonderful sentiments…it doesn’t get better than that, does it? :) The card was crated mostly using 123 Create Kit Bonjour and colored cardstock. The images were stamped on Classic Ivory cardstock using Memento tuxedo black and colored with Copic markers. The panel was sponged with Distress Ink spun sugar using Ink Blending Tool and Foam.  The butterflies were adhered just their body with glue dots. The sentiment was stamped on the mat of SB label 18 Nestabilities and it was sponged with Distress Ink shabby shatters using the same blending tool. I used the Satin Finish Cotton ribbon and embellished with vintage brad (included in the kit). To finish off, the pearls (included in the kit) were embellished on the butterflies.

    RI Designer’s Choice Challenge–Birds

    Hello and happy Wednesday!
I made one card to show you today. It is for Designer’s Choice Challenge from Repeat Impressions! Cheri is challenging us to use a bird/birds as a focal image for your creation. You will have two weeks (April 24th) to enter your project. When you finish your project, make sure you link it to the DCC post at RI blog where the inlinkz are located so that you will have a chance to win the RI gift certificate! For more information about the DCC, please visit The House That Stamps Built (RI blog). Can’t wait to see your creation!

For my card, I stamped Bird’s Nest Branch (1703-J) on the SB Label 12 mat. The mat was sponged with ink and layered on the Lacey Squares mat. Then I adhered those Tiny Birds – front (2614-D), side (2616-D), and flight (2617-D) on the mat. The all images were colored with Copic markers. The card was designed with the retired SU papers and colored cardstock. I used the sentiment, Happy Everything (3104-F) was stamped on the SB label 18 mat and layered on the Scalloped Oval Nestabilities mats & Fancy Tags 3 layer. The decorative border was cut out with SNSS Lacey Eyelet Border die. To finish off, the pleated ribbon and pink pearls were embellished.

There are many fruit stamps to choose from but I decided to ink Blueberries from Berry Sweet set. I stamped the image with Memento tuxedo black on classic white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Then I sponged the circle mat with Distress Ink shabby shatters using using Ink Blending tool and Foam. The frame was created with Spellbinders Lacey Circles and layered on the mat that was created with Fancy Tag 3 die. The card was created with the classic white cardstock, colored cardstock and Bo Bunny Country Garden designer papers. The sentiment was stamped on the label that was cut out with the die from Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole Die. To finish off, the card was embellished with May Arts Iridescent Ribbon with vintage brad and aqua rhinestones.
