TSG Sneak Peek -- Chemistry

Hello everyone~ It's the final day of TSG February Sneak Peek and Blog Hop Challenge!! If you came from Julie's blog, you are on a right track. If you not, you may want to start from TSG blog for fun! You will have a chance to win the new release sets when you participate the blog hop challenge!! Hope you will play along with us this fun event!

Today's sneak peek set is called Chemistry. This set is a fabulous collaboration work of Michele and Jessica. Michele was the lucky winner of the Release Party Chat last month and the winning prize was to work with Jessica for the brand new mini set to add to the TSG stamp line. Michele came up the brilliant idea of the theme since both she and her husband are chemists (she is a chemistry teacher). I can tell they had a lot of fun with creating the design because the set turned into a 4x8 set including 18 images and 12 sentiments, lol! This lovely set will be sold for $18.

I used the sketch from this week's TSG challenge (TSG39)...(btw the challenge is still going on until the next TSG challenge is posted at TSG blog. Play along with us and win $5 gift certificate to spend at TSG store! )
When I got the set, I saw the tiny hearts with different sizes and I thought they were the cutest things :):) I stamped the heart images on the circle mat with several different inks randomly and adhered the measuring glasses (is it how to call?, if not, correct me please?) image that was colored with Copics. Since the heart stamps are the ones I got inspired to create the card, I threw more hearts all over to complete the card :):)

- So, do you wanna win Chemistry set?
Here’s what you need to do - go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Chemistry post. Then return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own set of Chemistry. The winner will be announced Saturday (Jan 30th) during the Release Party Chat.

Next, give some LOVE for what Sandra has created for the blog hop!

Stamps: Chemistry (TSG)

I hope everything will go smoothly...(knock on wood) Hope you will have a wonderful and safe weekend.

FTTC51 -- Pat's Challenge

It is Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC51) ! It is the end of the month and time for a guest challenge designer! This week our challenge host is Pat Adam. Thanks so much hosting with us, Pat! And here is Pat's challenge written in her on words.

"For this week's challenge be inspired by the letter P. Sounds a bit crazy, but not really if you think about it for a bit. I'm thinking pink, pearls, poppies, purple, punches, and piercing. Do you get the picture? Sure you do so let's get moving and make those perfectly pretty and positively pleasing presentations. Don't think you've been challenged in this way before, so I will be excited to see how you all do." Pat

What a fun challenge!! Let see how many Ps inspired me to make today's card....color of Purple, Pale Pink, Pansies, Paisleys, Piercing, Pearls, Paper Toile ...I love how much the letter "P" can inspire me :)

I stamped the pansies image from A Year in Flowers Calendar set 1 (sorry, the set will be restocked later) on the classic white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment are from Nasturtiums set. Basic Gray Nook & Pantry was used for the background and the three purple panels behind the main panel were embossed. The pale pink pearls and satin ribbon were attached to embellish the card.

I used the sketch from SCS Sketch challenge 264 (SC264) to create the card.

Don't forget to check the rest of FOF's creations!!

Pat Adams

Happy Kitchen Monday, everyone~
First of all....I just wanna shout "WHO DAT!!!" Congratulations New Orleans Saints for becoming the NFC Champion for the first time!! Now, I can't wait to watch Superbowl in 2 weeks!

I made this birthday card for today's KS Monday. My son's friend is celebrating his birthday this Friday, so I thought it would be fun to make a boy's b-day card using KSS. Kitchen Sink Stamps carries many images for guys including this newly release set, Friends of the Moon. This set is also incorporated with other KSS sets! For example, I used Multi Step Owl and Autumn Moon with FOTM set. I'm so lovin' the rocket and shooting stars!

These are the steps I did for each image (all inks are Memento) :
(Moon)
1st - dandelion 2nd - cantaloupe, 3rd- cantaloupe

The rocket was stamped with Memento paris dusk and colored with Copic markers. I used the sketch from the last week's sketch of Mojo Monday (MOJO122).

FTTC50 -- Create A Scene with Stamps

Hello everyone~
It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC50) ! This week Betty Wright is our host and she is challenging you all to create a scene with stamps. Flourishes has a lot of scene stamps to choose from, such as beach scenes, garden scenes, patio, to party scenes. There are also several indoor scenes stamps from comfy cozy to formal. You can also choose if it is daylight or nighttime in the scene you create. Many possibilities. So, this week we are all creating a scene! We would love to see what you create!

It is Celebration Time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenges! The week of February 2-8, 2010 marks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday's ONE year Anniversary! We have some wonderful challenges planned for the week as well as lots of prizes! Please mark your calendars to play along with us to celebrate one year of Timeless Challenges!

As you see, I created a beach scene using Beach Life set for the challenge. I stamped the ripple image on the watercolor paper. With masking the sky, the ocean and the sand were sponged with inks. Then after switching the mask to the ocean side, I sponged the sky with ink using the scalloped circle mat as a cloud template. The ripple was water colored with reinker. The quote was simply stamped on the scene mat with Memento tuxedo black. The Adirondack chair image was colored with Copics and adhered to the scene with the dimensional adhesives. To finish the card, I pierced around the scene layer and attached the dew drops. Well, that's how I created the scene with stamps...I hope you will like it :)

Stamps: Beach Life (Flourishes)

KS Monday -- Jan 18th, 2010

Hello everyone~
It's Monday and welcome to Kitchen Sink Monday!! I hope you enjoyed checking out KS Crew's wonderful Sneak Peeks and new Kitchen Sink store last week!

For today's post, I decided to continue playing Multi Step Cup of Warm Comfort set. I machine stitched the top of the card using free style motion...I think it made the card more fun :)
Speaking of the stitching, Lisa's KS Crew Challenge (KSCC#21) is still going on until Friday, January 22nd. Three participants win a gift certificate to spend at KS online store. What a fun way to earn free stamps!

These are the steps I did for each image (all inks are Memento) :
(hot chocolate)
1st - angel pink/summer sky/new sprout, 2nd - angel pink/summer sky/new sprout, repeat 2nd step, 3rd- dessert sand, 4th - rich cocoa

After stamping each hot chocolate image, I added Glossy Accents on the glass parts. It's really hard to see but the word "chocolate" is on the designer paper repeatedly :) -- just had to mention the little detail, lol.

IC215, OCC Challenge

Hello everyone~
I hope my friends from U.S are having a wonderful MLK's birthday weekend and the rest of you are spending a wonderful weekend as well.
My hubby just left for work and he won't be back about a month :( It's our life and sometimes we have to suck it up and make a living for our best (these thoughts came from the experiences being Military wife), but being apart is not always easy for my family. This time, he is going to miss Kimberly's birthday, Trey's basketball games, Boy Scouts Darby race, Cheer competitions, Valentine's Day...:( Maybe, I need to clean my house to get rid of the negative mood ;)

OK, changing subjects...I made this card for SCS Inspiration challenge 215 (IC215) last night.
Nell Hill's carries beautiful things and I really want to shop for my house :) I took my inspiration from the hydrangea picture here. I also threw Our Creative Challenge (OCCC) - Color Challenge of blue and green into the card :) You really need to check out the samples of OCC team. They are so creative!

I used Garden of Friends from There She Goes. The images were colored with Copics. I also stamped the flourish images on the bashful blue DP using Flourish mini set.

Stamps: Garden of Friends, Flourish (TSG)
Paper: kiwi kiss, bashful blue dp (SU), classic white (Flourishes)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), almost amethyst, kiwi kiss, bashful blue (SU), Copic markers

Hello everyone~
I caught up a couple of SCS challenges today and made two cards using Gina K Lovely Shelf set.
When I got the set, I was surprised with its volume. It's like ordering a medium size of fries and you get a large size :):) and the fries are so tasty, lol. I just love Nina's design and style!

The card above was used the sketch from SCS Sketch challenge 263 (SC263). The images were colored with Copics and I cut each image and adhered on the designer paper. The rest of work was pretty simple...just follow the sketch :)

The next one is my take on SCS Clean & Simple challenge 49 (CAS49). The challenge is to Cut out any paper elements/designs to attach to a card. The rose with vase image was colored with Copics and cut it up. The heart image is Gina K Happy Hearts set...that I was very lucky I won the set during their Sneak Peak week :)

These are the steps I did for each image (all inks are Memento) :
(Moon) 1st - dandelion, 2nd - cantaloupe
, 3rd - cantaloupe, repeat 3rd step

At last but not least, this beautiful winter bird image is from Multi Step Winter Cardinals. Isn't she (or maybe he) beautiful? Cardinals are one of the famous winter bird and I'm so excited when Maria added them to her cupboard! I step stamped the bird, then went back to step 1 and stamped with VersaMark on the image and heat embossed with clear EP. Next I step stamped the pines. The background was sponged with Memento cantaloupe and summer sky.
Again, the sentiment was stamped with Simple Sentiment mini set. I also used the sketch from another SCS Sketch challenge (SC260).

Hello there~ It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC49)! This week Silke Ledlow is hosting and she is challenging us to a sketch she has designed. As far as sketches go, there is not much explanation necessary. You can turn it and enlarge the sections to fit your card size. However, in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck!!!! Looking forward to seeing what you create with it!!

I need more birthday cards to make and that's how my card turned out! I stamped the image from Birthday Celebrations set with Memento ink on classic white cardstock. Then I colored the image with Copic markers. I extended the balloons from the circle frame using dimensional stickers. The designer papers, Basic Gray Nook & Pantry were used for the card layers. I did machine stitching and decorated with the satin bow and the pearls for embellishing the card :)

Hello everyone~
I'm so excited about today because January 11th is my dear Mother in law's birthday!! I can't help bragging I have the best MIL in the world!! She is my best friend, teacher and cheerleader. She is the one I always ask advice. Oh and don't forget that she is also the best Nana in the world to my kids too :):) Thank you Mom for being a wonderful Mother in law and happy Birthday!!

Since I have a few people who celebrate their birthday in my 3D world (lol), I was in the mood to make some birthday cards. Of course, I had to sneak some challenges for fun!
This birdie birthday card is my take on There She Goes challenge 37 (TSG37). The challenge host is Jessie and she is challenging us to use at least 3 different types of embellishments on our card/project. For more detail about the challenge, please click HERE.

This card is also combined Crazy 4 Challenges 19 (C4C19) - Birthday theme card.

I used the set, Birdie Wishes (I think these birdies are so stinkin' cute!) from There She Goes. I used the buttons, dew drops and ric rac ribbon for the embellishments. If the sewing thread can be counted as a part of embellies, I used 4 different embellishments! Yay!!

Paper: real red, real red dp (SU), classic white (Flourishes), Sweet stack (DCVW)
Ink: real red, baja breeze (SU)

IC214 -- Inspired by Groovy Inclinations

Hello everyone~
I hope everyone is not freezing from this arctic blast. It's been so cold here but I quit complaining after I saw some areas in north from news...Brrr.

Today's card was my take on SCS Inspiration challenge 214 (IC214) - Groovy Inclinations. There are some pretty digital artwork in the store! I found this art piece for my inspiration.
I immediately grabbed this beautiful tree image from Treemendous by There She Goes. After I stamped the image, I stamped the little flower image all over the branch and attached the tiny silver pearls. I used the white ribbon to keep the clean look.

Stamps: Treemendous (TSG)
Paper: classic white (Flourishes), dark chocolate (PTI), designer papers (SU)
Ink: chocolate chip, baja breeze (SU)
Accessories: pearls, ribbon, button, vintage twine
Tools: Nestabilities

MOJO120

Hello everyone~
The second post for tonight! Although my mojo is not where I want to be, I received a happy mail today and it made my day :):) I'm very easy to please, lol.

The card was used the sketch from Mojo Monday sketch 120 (MOJO120). The teapot and cups are stamped and colored with Copics. The cups were adhered with dimensional adhesives and the circle mat was sponged with 2 shade of inks. The square pink mat was embossed using embossing folder and the mat behind the square mat was created with the background stamps and sponged around the edge. I'm not sure if I should use another designer paper instead of using the embossed mat....BTW the sage designer paper I used for the background has a beautiful mat finish - it's much prettier IRL :)

Stamps: A Cup of Life, Bountiful Backgrounds (Verve Stamps)
Paper: basic gray, pretty in pink, sage shadow (SU), classic white (Flourishes), Madeline dp (SEI)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), sage shadow, pretty in pink (SU), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon, silver pearls

Tools: Nestabilities, border punch, CB embossing folder

This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Jan. 11th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG store! We hope you will play along with us :):)

I decided to create a heart shape card for the challenge. Just perfect for Valentine, right? I used Loads of Fun set for the image and sentiment. The image was paper pieced with the designer paper from DCWV's Music stack and the same paper was also used for the background panel.

I decided to use olive green for my choice. This beautiful daffodil image from Signs of Spring was stamped with black ink on the watercolor paper. Then I water-colored with reinkers and Twinking H2Os. After the image was completely dried, I simply stamped the greeting. I created the loop borders and corners using the border and corner punch - great punches!!

Stamps: Signs of Spring (Flourishes)
Paper: classic white, watercolor paper (Flourishes), barely banana (SU), black cardstock (Bazzil), Bitty Box dp (PTI)
Ink:
India black ink (Superior), summer sun, so saffron, barely banana, pumpkin pie, more mustard, kiwi kiss, old olive (SU), Twinkling H2Os - chestnut brown
Accessaries: ribbon, gold code, rhinestones
Tools: Nestabilities, border punch, corner punch

Don't forget to check the rest of FOF's creations!!
