FTTC50 -- Create A Scene with Stamps

Hello everyone~
It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC50) ! This week Betty Wright is our host and she is challenging you all to create a scene with stamps. Flourishes has a lot of scene stamps to choose from, such as beach scenes, garden scenes, patio, to party scenes. There are also several indoor scenes stamps from comfy cozy to formal. You can also choose if it is daylight or nighttime in the scene you create. Many possibilities. So, this week we are all creating a scene! We would love to see what you create!

It is Celebration Time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenges! The week of February 2-8, 2010 marks Flourishes Timeless Tuesday's ONE year Anniversary! We have some wonderful challenges planned for the week as well as lots of prizes! Please mark your calendars to play along with us to celebrate one year of Timeless Challenges!

As you see, I created a beach scene using Beach Life set for the challenge. I stamped the ripple image on the watercolor paper. With masking the sky, the ocean and the sand were sponged with inks. Then after switching the mask to the ocean side, I sponged the sky with ink using the scalloped circle mat as a cloud template. The ripple was water colored with reinker. The quote was simply stamped on the scene mat with Memento tuxedo black. The Adirondack chair image was colored with Copics and adhered to the scene with the dimensional adhesives. To finish the card, I pierced around the scene layer and attached the dew drops. Well, that's how I created the scene with stamps...I hope you will like it :)

Don't forget to check the rest of FOF's creations!!

Stamps: Beach Life (Flourishes)
Paper: classic white, watercolor paper (Flourishes), cool caribbean (SU)
Ink:
Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), cool caribbean, ballet blue, bashful blue, creamy caramel, close to cocoa (SU), Copic markers
Accessaries: dew drops

Very inviting. Makes you want to head out to the beach (though it's cold outside) right away. Great card!

I am soooo very happy that you made this serene, welcoming scene.....cuz somehow this stamp set slipped by me....as you know I love the beach and would snap this one up in a minute...but I just didn't know it existed...arigato, Maki-san
