For Papa's Birthday...

Hello everyone~
Yesterday, April 18th was my father-in-laws's 60th birthday!! My hubby went to Hobby Lobby and got these Harley Davidson paper kit and asked me to make something special for him. How sweet! So, I made this framed scrapbook layout and card as a gift. I found the frame on the clearance section of Wal-Mart for a while ago and it was only $1.50!! Couldn't resist the awesome deal, hehe.
We also had a little birthday party for him and watched the race after that. The Jones family is a long time big fan of Mark Martin!! It was the perfect way to end my FIL's birthday:) Yay Mark!!

4月18日は、義父の60回目の誕生日でした。主人が、ハーレーダビッドソンのペーパーキットをクラフトストアで購入し、父へ何か特別なギフトを作って欲しいと頼んできました。ということで、額入りのスクラップブックのレイアウトとカードを作ってみました。この額は、以前ウォールマートのクリアランスセクションで見つけたもので、＄１．５０で購入しました!!　凄い値下げで、即ゲット（笑）
家族だけの小さなバースデーパーティーをした後は、カーレースを一緒に観て過ごしました。ジョーンズ家は、昔からずっと大のMark Martinファン。昨日のレースは、義父のバースデーを締めくくるには、パーフェクトなエンディングでした＾＾イェイ、Mark!!



The card was used the sketch from SCS Sketch challenge 224 (SC224). The flaming hearts on the main panel are from LOL Taglines by There She Goes. I just stamped each heart on the PTI designer paper. The snoopy with the motorcycle was colored with Copics and adhered with the dimensional adhesives. The Harley's stickers and the paper were from the kit my DH bought.

カードは、SCSのスケッチチャレンジ224（SC224)のスケッチを使っています。メインの炎のハートは、There She GoesからのLOL Taglinesセットからのスタンプで、PTIのデザイナーペーパーに、１回ずつ捺していきました。パイクに乗ったスヌーピーは、コピックマーカーで色を付け、フォームステッカーで貼っています。ハーレーのステッカーと紙は、主人が買ってきたキットを使いました。

Verve April Release Week Challenge - part 2

I can't believe it's already Saturday!! I didn't come back soon for this post but I didn't forget to uploading 2 more cards for Verve's challenge, lol. The new releases are looked fabulous! I can't wait to get them!

皆さん、こんにちは～ もうすでに土曜日!!この前の更新から直ぐに戻って来れなくてすみません。お約束どおり、Verveのチャレンジで作った残りの2枚のカードをアップしておきます。新しくリリースされたセット素敵ですね。購入するのが楽しみです! 今回のチャレンジで作った始めのカード2枚は、こちらに載せてあります。



This card was used the sketch from VSAPR3. I just had to use my favorite set from Verve :)
The butterfly was colored with Copics and layered it over the same image. I thought about using the patterned paper but I couldn't find the ones I wanted to use. So, I stamped the little butterfly images on the purple cardstock to make the own patterned paper. I also embossed the white cardstock to give more textures.

このカードは、VSAPR3のスケッチを使いました。Verveからのお気に入りのセットを使っています。 蝶は、コピックで色を付け、同じイメージの上に重ねて貼りました。パターンペーパーを使おうと思い、探してみたものの、使いたい紙が無かったので、代わりに小さい蝶を紫のカードストックに捺し、オリジナルのパターンペーパーを作りました。それから、白のカードストックにエンボスをして、テキスチャーを取り入れてみました。

The next card was used the color combo from VSAPR4. I love the soft subtle colors Julie picked. I also combined SCS Way to Use It challenge 214 (WT214). The challenge was to use a frame(s). I decided to give another try for the ribbon frame that was introduced over Technique Lover's challenge. This is the one I tried before.

The set I used is called Cupcake mix & match from There She Goes. I colored the cake with Copics and layered on the embossed panel. I'm very satisfied how it turned out.

次のカードは、VSAPR4のカラーコンボを使っています。Julieさんが選んだ柔らかな淡い色の組み合わせが素敵ですね。 それから、SCSのWay to Use Itチャレンジ214（WT214)も取り入れています。チャレンジは、フレーム（額）を使ったチャレンジです。フレームということで、テクニックラバーチャレンジで、一度紹介されたリボンフレームを作ってみました。こちらが、前に一度トライしたものです。
このセットは、There She GoesからのCupcake mix & match で、ケーキは、コピックで色を付けてから、エンボスしたパネルに貼りました。自己満足ですが、出来上がりが気に入っています。

Verve April Release Week Challenge

It's a nice day here in Texas. Not cold or hot... just right :) I had to enjoy this kind of weather before the steaming hot summer comes, lol.

ここテキサスは、とても良い気候になりました。寒すぎず、暑すぎず。。。気持のいい気温です。煮え尽きる位暑い夏が来る前に、この季節を楽しまなくては。。。（笑）

今回のカードは、Verve Stampsからの4月リリースウィークチャレンジで作ったものです。このチャレンジの詳細は、こちらで見ることができます。今回のスニークピークもなかなか素敵なので、新しいスタンプセットの全てを見るのが楽しみです。

This card was used the sketch of VSAPR1. I also used SCS Color Combination 214 (CC214). It's very pretty colors and I got to use my neglected bordering blue, lol. I used the color not so long time ago and I mentioned I didn't like the shade of blue....you know what, I think I start likin' it :) I just needed a time to get used to use the color, lol.

このカードは、VSAPR1のスケッチを使っています。SCSのカラーコンビネーション214(CC214)も併せて使いました。とても綺麗な色のコンビで、私の陽の目を見ないbordering blue（ボーダーリングブルー）を使うこともできました。少し前にこの色を使った時に、この青は余り好きではないと言っていたんですが、少しずつ愛着がわいてきてます＾＾多分、この色を使い慣れるのに、時間が少し必要だっただけかもしれません（笑）

The stamp set is called Tastes Like Chicken from There She Goes. It's the funniest set ever, lol!!
This image is my favorite one from the set. It's a kind of funny but I wanted to embellish the image with beautiful motif, lol.

次のカードは、VSAPR2のスケッチを使いました。このチャレンジと一緒に、Papercraft Planetで行われたHollyさんのThere She Goes カラーチャレンジ（TSGCC01)にもチャレンジしました。皆さんも、時間があったら是非チャレンジしてみてください。
このスタンプセットは、There She GoesからのTastes Like Chickenで、（日本のギャグとは、少し感覚が違いますが）コミカルな面白いセットです。このトイレのイメージは、このセットの中で1番気に入っているもので、何故か変わったことに、綺麗なモチーフを使ってカードを作りたいと思い、このような感じに仕上げました。

OCC Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone~
Sorry for MIA... I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and Easter Sunday :)
I had a great time with my family and friends at my place on Sunday although it was the busy weekend. The weather was not that great but we didn't change our plan whether rain or shine, lol. The egg hunting was postponed until the afternoon after the rain was stopped, but as soon as the hunting started, it started raining again!! We still kept hunting though, lol.

暫く、更新していなくてすみません。。。素敵な週末、そして良いイースター（復活祭）を過ごされましたか?
私は忙しい週末でしたが、日曜日に家族や友達が家に集まり、楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。あいにく、天気は余り良くありませんでしたが、雨が降ろうが降るまいが、計画は実行しました。エッグハンティングも、雨が止んだ日曜日の午後に延期し行いましたが、ハンティングが始まった途端、又雨が。。。それでも、ハンティングは実行しました（笑）


I enjoyed the Easter but it's glad to be back to stamp now. Today's card was used the sketch from OCC challenge. The stamp set is from Flourishes that I got it for my Birthday last month.
The image was colored with the reinkers and aquapainter. I stamped the florish image and added the colors on the main layer, and then I layered the rose image on the panel. And I layered the rose flower and the leaf again.

楽しいイースターでしたが、今はやっとスタンプをすることができるので嬉しいです。今回作ったカードは、OCCチャレンジのスケッチを使っています。スタンプセットは、先月の誕生日に購入したFlourishesのスタンプです。
イメージは、インカーと水彩筆で色を付けました。メインのパネルに、フローリッシュのイメージを捺し、色を付けた後、バラのイメージを重ねて貼りました。そして、バラの花と葉だけ、もう一度重ねて貼っています。

SC223

Hello everyone~
This card was made with the sketch from SCS Sketch Challenge 223 (SC223). The set I used is the brand new set, Cupcake mix & match from There She Goes. I love the cute image and whimsical sentiment but I'm not loving what I did....I think I needed to use darker brown... what do you think? I will give another try with the different colors next time ;)

I paper pieced the cake wrapper and the rest of the image was colored with Copics. I added Stickles on the icing and the red button for the cherry.

CC213 -- Happy Spring

Hello everyone~
I'm trying to catch up what I've missed. This card was used the colors from SCS Color Combination challenge 213 (CC213). My daughter has the yellow shirt that looks similar to so saffron and it looks great on her, lol. That's why I picked the stamp from Whiff Of Joy for the image.

最近、チャレンジのアップが遅れ気味です。このカードは、ＳＣＳのカラーコンビネーションチャレンジ213(CC213)の色を使いました。娘がこの黄色のトーンに似ているシャツを持っていて、とても彼女に似合うんです。そこで、今回はWhiff of Joyの女の子を使う事にしました。

I colored the image with Copics. The sentiment is the one from TSG's Tweeterpated set. I know some areas still have snow on the ground. So, this card is perfect for them! But the area where I live is getting ready for summer already!! My DH has already started cleaning the swimming pool, lol although I still want to enjoy my favorite season of the year -- Spring ;)

Trying to Stamp...

Hello everyone~
I've been trying to stamp for the last couple days but my mojo is not helping me... Plus, my son got an ear infection and has been at home since yesterday. He is very good at entertaining himself but I just can't stamp while my kids are sick, KWIM?

I managed to make two cards during the past weekend though. I am going to participate some challenges again...hopefully...

ここ２日程、スタンプをしようと思っているんですが、なかなか気分が乗りません。それに、息子が中耳炎で、家で安静にしています。寝込むほどの事ではないので、１人でゲームをしながら遊んでいますが、やっぱり、病気の子供がいるとなかなか落ち着いてスタンプも出来ないですね。。。

それでも、先週末に何とか２枚ほどカードを作りました。いくつかやりたいチャレンジもあるので、また頑張りますね。


I made this card for OCC challenge (OCCC). My fellow TSG Trendsetter, Silke is the host this month!! Her challenge was to make an Easter card or project. I used the sketch from TSG April Sketch challenge by Holly over Papercraft Planet. You can see her sketch here.
I used Blessings (cross) and the brand new set, Tweeterpated (flower and sentiment) from There She Goes.

このカードは、ＯＣＣチャレンジ (OCCC)で作ったものです。私のTSG Trendsetterの仲間のSilkeさんが、今月の担当です。今回のチャレンジは、イースターカード、または作品を作るです。Papercraft PlanetにアップされたHollyさんからの４月TSGスケッチチャレンジでのスケッチを使いました。こちらで、そのスケッチを見ることができます。
今回は、There She Goes からのBlessings(十字架）とTweeterpated（花と言葉)のセットを使っています。

I made the next card last Friday for SCS Limited Supply Challenge 214 (LSC214). The challenge was Easy as 1-2-3 --1 color of cardstock, 2 patterned papers, 3 embellishment.
I used Tweeterpated from There She Goes again. Love the cute chicka-dee! I placed the images like the baby chick was just hatched, lol. I colored them with Copics. I don't know why but I had a hard time what to do with the 3rd embellishment and ended up using the rhinestones on the butterfly, lol.

次のカードは、先週の金曜日に、SCSのリミットサプライチャレンジ214（LSC214) で作ったもので、チャレンジは、Easy as 1-2-3でした。1色のカードストック、2種類のパターンペーパー、3種類のエンベリッシュメントを使って、カードを作るチャレンジです。こちらでも、There She GoesからのTweeterpatedを使っています。このヒヨコちゃん、とても可愛くて大好きです!このヒヨコが、殻を割って出て来た～という感じで、イメージをスタンプしました(笑）色は、コピックを使って付けています。何故か、3つ目のエンベリをどうするか迷ってしまい、結局蝶にラインストーンを付けて、何とかカードを仕上げました。

KS Crew Challenge #11

Happy Monday everyone!
Today's post is very exciting and special for me. I'm a guest hostess of KS Crew Challenge #11!! I hope you will enjoy the challenge as much as I do :)

The challenge is to
-Make a card or a project with using monochromatic color scheme.
-Incorporate a dimensional material (s) into a card or a project.

I always love using monochromatic colors for my cards and projects. Each color gives different meanings to us like red symbolizes as energetic, powerful, passionate and purple does as royal, elegant, sophisticated. I'd like to see your project with monochromatic and give some dramas with Kitchen Sink Stamps!
As for the dimensions, it could be with using the dimensional adhesives, interactive design that make a project pop, using cottons under the flowers to look dimensionally or anything make eyes pop, lol.

今回のチャレンジは、
・単一系の色(モノクロマティックカラー）を使って、カードまたは作品を作る。
・カードに凹凸を取り入れる。

私は、モノクロな色でカードや作品を作るのが大好きです。それぞれの色は、私達に違った意味を感じさせてくれます。例えば、赤は、エネルギッシュ、パワフル、熱情的、そして紫は、高貴、エレガント、高尚。是非、Kitchen Sink Stampsのスタンプを使って、モノトーンの色を使った作品に、息を吹きかけてみてください。
後、凹凸に関しては、例えばフォームスティッカーを使ったり、カードがポップするような仕掛けを使ったり、お花の後ろに綿を入れて凹凸を出したりと、凹凸をカードに取り入られることが出来るものなのなら、何でもＯＫです。

Ok, enough for the information! I made the 2 cards for the challenge.
私の説明はこの辺にして。。。今回はチャレンジで2枚のカードを作りました。

For this card, I used the dimensional adhesives with layering the bear. I used 3 step Get Well Teddy set for the main image and 3 step Pansies for the background. I chose blue color scheme for the card because it is associated with health, healing and calming. I thought it would be perfect for this "hang in there!" card.

このカードでは、フォームステッカーを使って、クマを重ねて凹凸を出しています。3ステップGet Well Teddyをメインに使い、3ステップPansiesをバックグランドに使いました。このお見舞いカードには、健康、ヒーリング、静穏を意味する青色を使う事にしました。

For the next card, I made a pop-up card with 3 step Hey Chick! This card is for girls and PINK is the color I think about us, girls. Pink is associated with romance, love, friendship, feminine qualities and passiveness...;) I think these chicks are so cute with pink, too!

次のカードでは、3ステップHey Chick!を使って、ポップアップカードを作りました。このカードは、正に女性用なので、私が1番始めに思い浮かんだピンクを使っています。ピンクは、ロマンス、恋、友情、女性らしさ、そして受身を意味するそうです。ピンクを使ったことで、このヒヨコももっと可愛らしくなったと思います＾＾

Dogwood Blossoms

Hello everyone~
How about Stampin' Up! Only card? This is the set from Occasions mini and I decided to get it in the last minutes before processing the order. Boy, I'm glad I got it, lol.
This is the time of the year we see Dogwood blossoms all over where I live. I really love how they bloom and they are my alternate enjoyment of cheery blossoms, lol.

久しぶりに、Stampin' Up! オンリーのカードにしてみました。今回使ったセットは、Occasionsミニからのセットで、オーダーをプロセスする直前に、リストに入れたものです（笑）
私が住んでいるところは、花水木（Dogwood)の開花を見られる時期でもあり、綺麗で可憐な花を楽しむことができます。まあ、桜の花見の代わりに楽しんでいる感じですね（笑）

I used SCS Color Comination challenge 212(CC212 pink, brown, red) again and also Sketch challenge 222(SC222) for using my brain less, lol. I stamped the image on the watercolor paper and colored with the reinkers, Stampin' markers and the aquapainter. After it was dried, I stamped the shilouette image with pink ink slightly off to the image. I also added the glitter on the center of the flowers. The background were embossed with SU texturz plates :) I love the time when I get to play new goodies, lol!

今回は、またSCSのカラーコンビネーション212（CC212 ピンク、茶、赤)を使い、あまり脳みそを使わなくてもいい様荷（笑）、スケッチチャレンジ222（SC222)も使っています。イメージを水彩用の紙にスタンプし、インカー、Stampin' マーカーと水彩筆で色を付けました。インクが乾いた後、ピンクのインクで、シルエットのイメージを少しずらして捺しました。それから、花の中心に、グリッターを付けています。バックグランドは、SUテキスチャープレートでエンボスしています。新商品を使うのって、ワクワクして楽しいですね～。

CC212 and CAS08

Today is April Fool's day here....but I don't have any fools for you. Sorry! But I have a card to show you instead.

Today is also the day TSG's new sets are available in the store!! Yay! Here is the TSG store link. Hope you get what you're craving for, lol.
I used Taste Like Chicken set for the card above and also combined 2 challenges, SCS Color Combination challenge 212 (CC212 pink, brown, red) and Clean and Simple challenge 8 (CAS08 sketch inspired by StampGroover's card).

I paper pieced the sofa with Bella Rose dp and colored the shadows (or stain, lol) with Copics. The sentiment is actually straight but I mounted roundly when I stamped it. It's one of the great things about acrylic stamps :)

こちらは、今日がエープリルフールの日でした。まあ、私からは騙すことは何もありませんが。。。その代わり、カードをアップしておきました（笑）

あと、今日はTSGの新しいセットの発売日です!! こちらがＴＳＧストアのリンクです。今回も、何か気に入ったセットが見つかったら嬉しいです。
今回のカードは、Tastes Like Chickenのセットを使い、SCSの2つのチャレンジ、カラーコンビネーションチャレンジ212（CC212 ピンク、茶、赤)とクリーンアンドシンプルチャレンジ8（CAS08 StampGrooverさんのカードからのスケッチインスピレーション)を取り入れてみました。
ソファーは、SUからのデザイナーペーパーで、ペーパーピースし、影（それか染み＾＾）の部分は、コピックを使っています。言葉は、本当は真っ直ぐなんですが、スタンプをする時に、カーブをつけてマウントしてみました。アクリルスタンプだからできる技ですね：）
