I used Wheelbarrow (4307-K) for the image. It  was colored with Copic markers and added a bunch of mini hydrangea flowers on the wheelbarrow. To complimented the image, I stamped Thanks A Bunch (1307-E) for the sentiment. I designed the rest of the card with coordinated papers and colors. I tied the ribbon and added the bigger hydrangea flowers and dressed with the white pearls on the flowers and the sentiment.

For my card, I used Baby Love set for the images and sentiment. The button border is from Country Charm Borders. The images were stamped with Memento rich cocoa and colored with Copic markers (Lilac, Sunflower Collection, YG67, 63 and 61) and layered with circle layers. I did the card base with square and decorated with lacey square Nestabilities. To finish off, I looped the wrinkle binding ribbon around the lace scallops, attached the bow with the button & vintage twine and embellished pearls.

I decided to create a center step card using Fairy Kiss You can find the wonderful tutorial by Frances HERE. (Surprisingly, it was not as complicated as I thought although I trashed one cardstock …measuring twice, cut once is a great suggestion!) The image was colored with Copic markers and layered with the mat, cut with label 9 Nestabilities die. I used Love, Hugs… (2509-H) for the sentiment. It was cut with Grommet Tags die and attached with the rhinestone brads. To finish off, I embellished the card with the tea roses and the bow with the rhinestone brad.

SNSDC6–Father’s Day Card

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Friday everyone~

SONY DSC

I think I’ve made enough father’s day cards this week to stock up for next year, lol. It’s been so fun to play those masculine colors though :) I used Cocoa’s Latte Digi for the image and one of the sentiments from Father’s Day Sentiments Digi Set. The part of the image was paper pieced and the rests were colored with Copic markers. Can you see the dimension of the image? :) To finish off the card, I tied with the baker’s twine.

I used the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 107 clean (MMSC107).

RI Designer’s Choice Challenge–Lynette

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone~

Wow…this week seems to be going so fast! Maybe my kids are with me all day :) Anyway, it’s time for Designer’s Choice Challenge from Repeat Impressions! It’s Lynette’s turn and she is challenging us to make a father’s day card w/ texture! (I like the twist she added!)

You will have two weeks (by June 21st) to enter your project. When you finish your project, make sure you link it to the DCC post at RI blog where the inlinkz are located so that you will have a chance to win the RI gift certificate! For more information about the DCC, please visit The House That Stamps Built (RI blog). Can’t wait your creation!

For my card, I used Large Pine Forest (2709-I) for the image and Father’s Day (1138-E) for the sentiment. I colored the rubber with markers and stamped on the circle mat and simply stamped the sentiment right below the image. For the texture, I used the karki crepe Ruche paper from PaperTemptress. (the texture of the paper is so wonderful IRL!) I also coordinated with the BG designer paper and espresso border. To finish off, I embellished with the olive ribbon, baker’s twine with button and rustic gold pearls.

I used the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketch 111 (SSS111).

FTTC121–Father’s Day Card

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC121). Silke is challenging us to create a card/project for Father’s Day!! You can visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your card/project!

SONY DSC

Even though I made Father’s Day card for the last week’s challenge, it was still fun to make some more masculine card…which I have only few chances to do it since I’m more flower/girly/whimsy kind of girl :) I used What A Catch for the main image and the sentiment and Kids Play for the silhouette on the background. The inspiration was come from Crazy 4 Challenges 90 (C4C90).

I used the glossy cardstock for the background and colored it using the alcohol ink applicator. Instead of using alcohol ink, I dubbed the dye ink re-inkers on the felt applicator, then spray alcohol on the inked applicator and swished through the glossy mat. After the ink was dried well, I sponged the edge with Memento tuxedo black and stamped the image. The black edge was free-hand drawn with Copic marker 110 (I used the chisel tip).

The fish image was colored with Copic markers (Fields, Creamy, Robin’s egg, Spruce, Warm neutrals Collections) and the mat was sponged with light blue and light peach ink.

To finish off the card, I paper pierced the edge of the background mat and added silver pearls on the thin black strips.

SONY DSC

Happy Friday everyone~

It’s Friday, Friday….lol!! I hope you will have a wonderful weekend. I don’t know if I want to do any outside activities but swimming since we’re expecting triple digits temperature for all weekend and longer :( Maybe stamping/scrapbooking is not a bad idea ;)

It’s time for Sweet ‘N Sassy Digi Challenge (SNSDC5) . The challenge is to create *anything but cards*! What a fun challenge! I think it’s a wonderful way to see what we can do with digital images….I cannot wait to learn what I can do with seeing other wonderful projects! Please visit SNS Digi Challenge blog for more detail about the challenge. Can’t wait to see your creation!

For my project, I decided to create a tissue box cover. I used New Creature Digi set for the butterflies and verse. The tutorial and measurements for the tissue box cover can be found HERE. I created the cover with black and pink cardstock, and DCVW designer papers (the Music Paper Stack…I think it’s discontinued). The butterflies were colored with Copic markers and adhered on the cover. I also embellished the cover with the flowers, black swirl rhinestones. To finish off, I decorated the lace trims (two layers) and thin white dots ribbon. This tissue box cover is for my daughter’s room and I had so much fun to create it … Now, I need to make one for each room in my house!

Be sure to check other SNS Digi Blog Design Team for more inspiration!
