HandM Stamps Blog Hop -- Spring Has Sprung

The Blog Hop theme is "Spring Has Sprung" and all of us are showing anything not related to cards.
I decided to make these mini Easter basket for boys & girls. Since I have one boy and one girl in my house, it's not fair just making one basket, lol.
These baskets are made with the simple 4 x 4 x 4 box pattern. I scored every 4 inches of 12 x 12 cardstock or heavy pattern paper. Instead of trimming the 4 corner squares, I folded them in half diagonally and made the triangle flaps. I attached two flaps together with the adhesive and decorated the basket & the handle. For punching the holes and setting eyelets, Crop-A-Dile works the best! I didn't have any hassles when attaching the handle to the box.

このブログホップのテーマは、「Spring Has Sprung」で、春をテーマに、今回はひねってカードとは関係の無いものを作っています。
私のプロジェクトは、男の子用と女の子用のミニイースターバスケットにしました。家には男の子、女の子夫々１人ずついるので、やっぱりバスケット１つだけを作るのは不公平ということで。。。（笑）色合いだけ変えています。
このバスケットは、シンプルな4" x 4" x 4"の箱のパターンを使っています。12" x 12"のカードストック、又は、厚いパターンペーパーに４インチごとに折れ線を付けて折るだけです。角の４つの四角は、切り取らずに斜めに半分に折り、三角のフラップを作りました。、２つのフラップを糊でくっ付け、後はバスケットとハンドルを飾り付けしてください。穴を開けたり、アイレットを付けるのは、Crop-A-Dileが１番使えます。箱にハンドルを付けるのも、楽にできました。

Happy Birthday to Me!

Hello everyone~
March 13th is my birthday :) My mother-in-law was going to take me for shopping but it's raining hard and very cold here today so we decided to postpone the day-out to anther day. Since I got a time to diddle around the house, I played my Photoshop Elements and changed my blog layout! I got the background and banner at House of Three. What do you think about the new appearance??

３月１３日は、私の誕生日です：）義母と一緒に買い物に行く予定でしたが、雨が降り続いている上に、とても寒い日なので、買い物は別の日に延期にしました。
時間ができたことから、フォトショップエレメントを使って、ブログの模様替えをしたんですが、どう思いますか?ブログの壁紙やヘッダーは、Tipoさんのブログで紹介されていたサイト、House of Threeで購入しました。

I also made this birthday card today... I know, I know it's a kind of tacky making an own birthday card! I just made it for fun and send it for somebody else. And I added the butterfly for SCS Limited Supplies challenge 219 (LSC219).
The images were colored with Copics and added some highlights with the white gel pen. I also added the bling to match this dramatic color combo.

後、このバースデーカードも作りました。。。自分の誕生日に、バースデーカードを作るなんて、オイオイって感じですが（笑）いつか、どなたかの誕生日に使いたいと思います。それと、このカードでは、SCSのリミットサプライチャレンジ２１９(LSC219)の為に、蝶を追加でつけました。
イメージは、コピックで色を付け、ハイライトに白のジェルペンを使っています。それと、このドラマチックな色合いに合わせて、ラインストーンを付けてカードを完成させました。

WT210 -- Life...live like you mean it

Hello everyone~
How about another card with H&M Stamps? The trees images are from Seasons of Trees. Can you see the versatility of the set? It was fun making each tree for each season :)
I colored the three trees with Copics and I used the liquid applique for the winter tree.
Although I love the sentiment says, I'm not sure it was suited for the images....what do you think?

今回は、H&M Stampなんてどうでしょうか？この木々のイメージは、Season of Treesセットからのです。このカードでは、色んな違った使い方をしてみました。四季ごとの木を作れて楽しかったです。
３つの木は、コピックで色を付け、冬に木には、リキッドアップリケを付けて雪を作りました。
この言葉ってとっても素敵だなと思うんですが、このイメージに合っているかどうか。。。どう思いますか?


Oh, and I did the challenge with the card, which was SCS Way to Use It challenge 210 (WT210) - Going Green. To clear the challenge, I used scraps for some of the papers and green color. My first thought about going green is to plant trees. That's the main reason I decided to use the tree stamps for the card.

あ、後はチャレンジもちゃんとしました。今回は、SCSのWay to Use It チャレンジ２１０(WT210) - ゴーインググリーンでした。チャレンジをクリアするために、いくつかの紙にスクラップを使い、グリーンの色も使いました。ゴーインググリーンのイメージとして、１番に思い付いたのが、木を植えるということだったので、木のスタンプを使おうと思ったのも、このセットを使った大きな理由です。

SC219 -- Friends 24-7

Hello everyone~
It's back to cold and raining here in Texas. We needed the rain, though.
I made this card for SCS Sketch challenge 219 (SC219). I don't know when I made the triangle layers last time....I had so much fun with the sketch!

テキサスは、また寒さが戻ってきて、雨も降っています。でも、雨が必要だったので、ちょうど良かったかな。
このカードは、SCSのスケッチチャレンジ（SC219)で作りました。最後に、三角のレイヤーを使ったのって何時だったかしら････そう言う意味でも楽しくスケッチを使わせてもらいました。


This stamp set and papers were in my first order from SU Spring & Summer Collection 2009. I loooove the elegant style that SU carries in the collection.
The damask image was inked with baja breeze first and then inked close to cocoa just around the edge. I took the inspiration from this gorgeous card by Julie Lacey before. Isn't she awesome?
The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark & chocolate chip and heat embossed with the clear embossing powder. I used Friendly Words jumbo wheel to make the design for the blue triangle layer. The other layer is SU Parisian Breeze Specialty. I got the papers because I loved the designs, and I now understand why people love the papers...the textures are just fantastic!!


このスタンプセットとペーパーは、SUの春、夏コレクション２００９からの初めてのオーダーからのものです。今回のコレクションの中で、SUが扱っているエレガントなスタイルがとっても気に入りました。
このダマスクのイメージは、baja breezeのインクを始めに付け、それからclose to cocoaのインクを端だけつけて捺しました。この方法は、前に見たJulie Laceyさんのこの素敵なカードからお借りしたものです。彼女の作品の数々、素敵過ぎです!
言葉は、VersaMarkとchocolate chipのインクを付けて捺し、クリアエンボスパウダーを付けて、ヒートエンボスをしてあります。後ろの青の三角のレイヤーは、FriendlyWordsジャンボウィールを使って、デザインを作り、もう１つのレイヤーは、SUのParisian Breeze Specialtyを使いました。このペーパー、デザインが素敵だなと思って購入したんですが、多くの人たちが、気に入っている理由が、改めてわかりました。テキスチャーがいい感じで入っているんです!

Playing with Sketches

Hello everyone~
It was a very busy day plus I had to watch American Idol tonight! After I tacked my kids in the bed, I finally sat down and am typing about the cards I made today.
I used There She Goes stamps and played with 2 sketches I was itching to play. Both sketches were really creative and I used many layers for both of them. They are definitely too heavy to mail with just one stamp, lol.

今日は、とっても忙しい日でした。それに、アメリカンアイドルも今夜放送だったし！子供たちを寝かしてから、やっとパソコンに向かって、今日作ったカードのことを書くことができました。
今日は、この間から使いたかった２つのスケッチと、There She Goesのスタンプを使って、カードを２枚作りました。スケッチは、どちらもとても凝ったものだったので、私も沢山レイヤーを使いました。切手１枚では、絶対に重過ぎて送れません（笑）




The sketch is from Stamps and Smiles Sketch challenge (SASSC5). The stamps I used were from the brand new set, Slow and Steady and the popular set, Special Delivery. I think the cupcakes on the shell added an extra humor for the card :) All the images were colored with Copic markers and the designer papers are the retired SU papers that I found in my stash. The ribbons were tied around the oval clips and I just placed them to the 2 corners.

このスケッチは、Stamp and Smiles スケッチチャレンジ（SASSC5)からので、使用したスタンプは、新しいセットSlow and Steadyと、人気のセットSpecial Deliveryからのです。カップケーキをカタツムリの貝に乗せたことで、もう少し面白さを与えたかな：）イメージは、コピックを使って色を付け、奥の方に眠っていた廃盤になったSUのデザイナーペーパーを使いました。リボンは、オーバルクリップ二結び、それを２つの角に付けました。

The sketch for this card is from Mojo Monday sketch 77 (Mojo77) and I also used SCS Color Combination challenge 209 (CC209). The beautiful stamps are Flowers of Happiness. The set makes me bring joy everytime I use :) All the image were colored with Copics and the flowers were layered a few times. Yes, it takes time to cut all the pieces but the result is worth it!

このスケッチは、Mojo Monday スケッチ７７（Mojo77)を使い、SCSのカラーコンビネーション２０９（CC209)も組み合わせています。この素敵なスタンプは、Flowers of Happinessのセットからので、いつも使うのがとっても楽しいお気に入りです。イメージは、コピックで色をつけ、花は、何度か重ねました。切り取るのに時間がかかりますが、綺麗なものが結果として出来上がるので、遣り甲斐があります。

FS109 & CAS05

Hello everyone~
I hope your Monday started wonderfully. Unfortunately I'm a little sleepy....The time changing messes me up everytime. It's only 1 hour but I still have a hard time to get to used it :)

Yesterday was Featured Stamper challenge over SCS (FS109). It was Judy (StampinQueenJAR)!! I love her colorful and cheerful gallery. Just watching her work makes me so happy, plus I love that she uses House Mouse stamps for some of her cards :)
I decided to case this cute bunny card: WT199 Great Love.

良い月曜日を迎えられたでしょうか?残念ながら、私は少し眠たい月曜日を迎えました。時間が夏時間に変わったことに、体が慣れません。。。１時間だけの違いなのに、慣れるのにかなり辛いです。年かな～。

昨日のSCSチャレンジは、フィーチャースタンパー(FS109)でした。スタンパーは、Judyさん（StampinQueenJAR)でした。彼女のカラフルで明るいギャラリーがとても大好きです。素敵な作品の数々を見ているだけで、ハッピーな気分になります。それに、いくつかの作品に、House Mouseスタンプを使っているのも注目です。
今回は、彼女のウサギのカードをケースすることにしました：　WT199 Great Love


I changed the colors and used the different bunny stamp. I tweaked the layout some because of the size of the image but I kept the same elements like the scalloped edges and sentiment layers and the numbers of the embellishments.
My bunny image was stamped when I stamped with my friends last week. I colored with Prismacolor pencils & gamsol. I also added Twinkling H2Os for shading. The dew drops were also gifted from my friend. (Are you proud of me, smallcity? lol)

変えたところといえば、全体の色と、違うウサギのスタンプを使ったところ。レイアウトもイメージのサイズに合わせて、少し変えています。あとは、スカロップのボーダーや、言葉のレイヤー、エンベリッシュメントの数などの部分は、同じにしました。
私のウサギのイメージは、先週友達と一緒にスタンプをした時に捺したもので、プリズマカラーとモルツベンで色を付けました。影にTwinking H2Osを少し使っています。デュードロップは、友達からのギフトです。（smallcityさん、気に入っていただけましたか～笑）

Paper: pink pirouette, riding hood red (SU), white cardstock (GP), designer paper (My Mind's Eye)

Ink: riding hood red (SU), Memento (Tsukineko), Prismacolor pencils

The next card was for SU CAS (Clean & Simple) challenge 5 (CAS05). It was the color challenge with using the shades of blue and green.
I used my neglected set, Text Boxed for the main image. I love using Papertrey Ink stamps when I make CAS cards and this image is no exception. It was so refreshing and I think I fell in love with the set again!

次のカードは、SCSのCAS（クリーンアンドシンプル）チャレンジ５（CAS05)での作品です。今回は、青と緑を使って作品を作るカラーチャレンジでした。
全然使われていないセット、Text Boxedをメインに使っています。私がCASのカードを作る時は、結構Papertrey Inkのスタンプを好んで使っていて、このイメージも例外ではありません。それに、久しぶりに使ったことで、リフレッシュされた所為か、またこのセットを改めて好きになった気がします。

Verve March Release Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone~
I made this Easter card with Verve March release sketch challenge. Well... I couldn't enter before the deadline because my internet was down when I tried to upload it :( When the internet was back, it was already past 6:00 pm...It's also my fault, too. I shouldn't have made it in the last minutes. Oh well, I still upload the card here to show to you!

I decided to use my new PTI stamp set, Tag For Spring. I love this set and I'm already feeling that I'm going to use it a lot. The colors were insired by these SU designer paper (retired), Spring Showers. Do you still remember them??? I have a pile of the scraps and I decided to clean them up. It's a spring cleaning in my house , and so is my stamp room, too!

このイースターカードは、Verve3月リリーススケッチチャレンジで作ったものです。残念なことに、締め切りには間に合いませんでした。カードをアップロードする時に、丁度インターネットがダウンしていて、ネットが再開した時は、締め切り時間の6時を過ぎていました（悔）まあ、私も私で、余裕を持って作っていれば、こんなことにはならなかったはず。でも、皆さんに見ていただきたかったので、アップしておきます。Julieさん、素敵なスケッチを有難うございました。

このカードでは、新しく届いたPTIのTags For Springを使うことにしました。今回のリリースで１番気に入ったセットで、何度も使うと思います＾＾　色合いは、このSUのデザイナーペーパー、Spring Showers （廃盤）にある色を使いました。スクラップが沢山残っていたので、使い切ることに。我が家の春の大掃除は、スタンプルームも含んでいます（笑）

Angelic Moments

Hello everyone~
Ahhhh, it's warm and nice here in Texas. It's a spring cleaning time in my house and I've tried to spend my stamp time less than usual for the couple days.
I made 2 cards and one ATC today with the brand new stamp set, Angelic Moments from H&M Stamps and all the projects were used SCS Inspiration challenge 170 (IC170). I took my inspiration from this wall clock from Spunky Sprout.

皆さん、こんにちは～ 今日のテキサスは、暖かい春の陽気を迎えました。我が家は春の大掃除の時期なので、此処２日ほど、いつもよりスタンプをする時間を減らしました。 今日は、H&M Stampsからの新しいスタンプセット、Angelic Momentsを使って、２枚のカードと１枚のATCを作り、全ての作品に、SCSのインスピレーションチャレンジ１７０（IC170)を取り入れています。今回は、Spunky Sproutの壁時計をインスピレーションに使いました。





Since I was a little behind some of other challenges, I decided to combine them each project. Can you tell which challenges are in which project??
他のチャレンジも、少し遅れているので、それぞれの作品にも他のチャレンジを取り入れることにしました。ちゃんと説明は付けるつもりですが、どのチャレンジをどの作品に使ったかわかるかな？

This ATC was also combined SCS Way to Use It challenge (WT208) - ATC challenge.
All the images were colored with reinker and Stampin' markers with the aquapainter.

このATCは、SCSのWay to Use It チャレンジ208（WT208）- ATC チャレンジを組み合わせてました。
全てのイメージは、インカーとマーカーに水彩筆を使って色付けしました。

This card was combined with SCS Limited Supplies challenge 210 (LSC210) - Make a card or project within 30 minutes. I even used my inspiration for the sketch to finish the card less than 30 minutes. The hardest part was where to place the sentiment. I still think the sentiment should be placed lower.

このカードは、SCSのリミットサプライチャレンジ210（LSC210) - 30分以内で、カードまたは作品を作るというチャレンジを組み合わせました。30分でカードを作り終える為に、スケッチも時計を参考にしました。言葉をどこに付けるかに一番時間を費やしたと思います。後は、もう少し言葉を下に捺せば良かったかな。

This one was combined 2 challenges - Mojo Monday sketch 76 (Mojo76) and OCC challenge. This week's OCC challenge is doodling. Silke's sample card was stucked my head and I just had to case the challenge, lol. Isn't her work amazing?

これは、Mojo Mondayスケッチ76（Mojo76)とOCC チャレンジの2つを組み合わせました。今週のOCCチャレンジは、手描き（doodling)です。Silkeさんのサンプルカードが頭に残っていて、結局彼女が使ったチャレンジをケースしちゃいました（笑）彼女の作品の数々、本当に素敵ですよね～?

SC218 -- Thank YOU

Hello everyone~
I'm glad to be back here. I went to visit my stamping friends today and had a wonderful time with talking, coloring, stamping, eating and some more talking, lol. I'm so fortunate I have friends who live close to me (well, 20 minutes driving is not bad at all around here) and they are crazy for stamping as much as I do! Don't you love that when you talk about what you love and someone totally understand what you are talkin' about? I was able to stamp some of great stamps my friend have while visitng. I hope I can make some cards with them this weekend.

I also had one more reason with being away from my blog...I had some issues of my photo editing program and was unable to edit my photos. It's fine now and I'm finally uploading this card I made a couple days ago. The card is for SCS Sketch challenge 218 (SC218). Isn't the sketch awesome?

少し間が空いてしまいましたが、また戻ってきました。今日は、スタンプ好きの友達のところに遊びに行き、喋ったり、色を塗ったり、スタンプしたり、食べたりして、またもう少し喋ったりして、楽しい時間を過ごしました。私と同じくらいスタンプ好きの友達が、近くに住んでいる（車で２０分飛ばすのは、ここでは当たり前）のは、本当に有難い。自分が大好きなことを話す時に、人が完全に理解してくれる時って、すごく嬉しいですよね?遊びに行ったときに、友達が持っている素敵なスタンプも、いくつか捺して帰ってきたので、週末は、これを使って何かカードが作れたらなと思っています。

後、写真修正用のプログラムに少しトラブルがあり、写真を編集することができませんでした。ようやく直して使えるようになったので、２日前に作ったカードですが、一応アップしておきます。このカードは、SCSのスケッチチャレンジ２１８（SC218)で作ったものです。また素敵なスケッチがアップされてますね。


The stamp I used for the card is called Nature of Friendship from There She Goes. Oh, I just love these images! I stamped them with the colors from the designer papers (Boxer from Basic Grey). It took a while to come up how I wanted to place the sentiment. My solution was heat embossing with white embossing powder. After the butterflies were embossed with the same way, I attached the flower embellishment.

使用したスタンプは、Nature of Friendshipというスタンプセットで、There She Goesから発売中です。このイメージ、本当に気に入っています!デザイナーペーパー（Basic GreyのBoxer)からとった色で、スタンプを捺しました。言葉をどういう風に付けようかしばらく考えた結果、白のエンボスパウダーを使ってヒートエンボスをすることにしました。蝶々も同じ方法でエンボスした後、花のエンベリッシュメントを付けました。
