IC192 & FLLCAUG -- Hello, My Royal Friend!

Hello everyone~
It was very hot but nice Saturday because I was in a pool all afternoon, lol.
After enough water, I decided to play SCS Inspiration Challenge 192 (IC192). The inspirations are from Bellacor Vases. I took my inspiration with this vase after many browses :)

今日は、とても暑かったですが、午後はプールの中で過ごしたので、気持ちのいい土曜日でした（笑）
水遊びをした後は、SCSのインスピレーションチャレンジ192（IC192)をすることに。今回のインスピレーションは、Bellacorの花瓶でした。色々見た結果、今回はこの花瓶をインスピレーションに使うことにしました。


I thought it was also great to make the card for Flourishes August Challenge (FLLCAUG) since the challenge was to create a card/project that fits a king or queen :)

I stamped the vine image with VersaMark and heat embossed with gold EP. Then I colored them with Copics. I edged the mat with gold ink. The birds were stamped on the cardstock and they were trimmed and edged with the same gold ink. Then they were mounted on the vines with the dimensional adhesives.
The embossed background were DTPed with the gold ink and sponged the edges with pink ink. It was also scored all sides. I was so excited when I found the gold crown in my stash!! It's from Anna Griffin and it was just perfect for both challenges!!

Flourishes8月のチャレンジ（FLLCAUG）が、キング/クイーンに合ったカード/作品をつくるというチャレンジだったので、これも取り入れることにしました：）

蔦のイメージは、ヴァーサマークで捺し、ゴールドのエンボスパウダーを使ってヒートエンボスしました。その後コピックで色を付け、パネルの縁を、金のインクで縁取っています。鳥のイメージは、カードストックに捺した後、切り取って縁を同じ金のインクで縁取りました。それから、フォームステッカーを使って、蔦に貼り付けました。
エンボスしたバックグランドは、金のインクをDTP（Direct To Paper)し、ピンクのインクとスポンジで縁を暈しました。金の冠を見つけた時は、すごく興奮しちゃいました!!これは、Anna Griffinのエンベリで、両方のチャレンジに、まさにピッタリ!!

Paper: raspberry fizz, In Bloom dp(SU), so saffron (SU), ivory cardstock (Flourishes),

LSC232 -- You are invinted

Hello everyone~
Today's SCS challenge was Limited Supplies Challenge 232 (LSC232) and it was very fun to play because it was all about food, lol. Your main image has to be food/beverages and the colors have to be edible names!!

今日のSCSチャレンジは、リミットサプライチャレンジ232（LSC232）でした。食べ物に関係していたので、とても楽しかったです。メインのイメージを食べ物か飲み物のスタンプを使う。そして、色も食べ物関係の名前が付いた色を使うです。SUの色の多くは、食べ物に関する名前を使っていますが、SUの色がない場合は、それに近い色を使ってくださいと説明してありました。

I used Life's A Beach (oops! I didn't know it was sold out :P) from There She Goes. The main image were colored with Copics.
I was very strict about my colors, lol. I used tangerine tango, kiwi kiss, barely banana and very vanilla from SU colors. I even used dark chocolate from PTI and rich cocoa from Tsukineko :) Boy, this challenge really makes me hungry!!
And did you notice the glass beverages on the background are all upside down??? It was too late to fix it when I noticed it....just let you know I was not drunk when I made it, lol.

今回は、There She GoesからのLife's A Beach （ただ今売り切れ中でした。。。すみません）を使い、メインのイメージは、コピックで色を付けました。
色は、全て食べ物の名前が付いたものを、ちゃんと使っています。作っている際、本当におなかが空いてきちゃいました（笑）
あと、バックグランドのグラス、全て逆さまになっているのに気付いたでしょうか? 私が気付いたときは、修正不可能でした。。。作っているときに、既に酔っ払っていたわけではないですから~（爆）

SC240 -- What's Meew?

Hello everyone~
Don't you think they are adorable?? This is called Kittens & Pup set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. I'm a big time cat lover and I have 3 furry kids in my house, too :) Well...a kind of. The oldest one has decided to move into my in-law's house without my permission, :P I guess he thought it was too crowded here... Or he noticed they have better food, lol.

I used the sketch from SCS Sketch challenge 240 (SC240). After I stamped the kittens image, I masked them and stenciled the oval shape for the shadow.

この可愛い子猫は、Kitchen Sink StampsのKittens & Pupというセットです。
私は大の猫好きで、家にも３匹の子供達が居ます(笑)今のところ３匹なんですが。。。実は、一番上の猫ちゃんが、飼い主に断りもなく、義両親の家に住みついてしまったみたい。ここに家は、窮屈だと思っちゃったのかな? それとも、向こうのキャットフードが、上等だとわかったかな（笑）

今回は、SCSのスケッチチャレンジ２４０（SC240）のスケッチを使っています。子猫のイメージをスタンプしてから、マスキングをして楕円の型をステンシルし、影をつくりました。

So Many Challenges!!

There are so many challenges I want to participate this week but I just don't have a time to make a card for each one...so I combined them all, hehe.

These are the challenges I did for this card:

The set I used is Strawberries from Flourishes. I colored the image with reinkers and an aquapainter. I basicly followed this direction to make the faux wood frame (you can see I changed the look a little :P). This is a very easy and cool one to make!! If you have Nestabilities die, this is super easy, too :)

今回のカードは、色んなチャレンジをゴチャ混ぜにして作ってみました。上の英語に、チャレンジしたリストをあげているので、是非そちらを参考にしてみてください。

今回使ったセットは、FlourishesからのStrawberriesです。イメージは、インカーと水彩筆(アクアペインター）を使って、色を付けました。フェイクウッドフレームは、こちらの作り方を基に作ってみました。とても簡単にできちゃうんですよ。ネスタビリティーがあれば、時間をかけずに仕上げることができます。

KS Monday & Emilia's KS Crew Challenge

Happy Kitchen Sink Monday, everyone!
Today's KS Monday is also KS Crew Challenge and we are so excited to welcoming Emilia as a guest challenge hostess!!

Her challenge (KSCC#16) is to make your project with decorating corners. What a wonderful challenge, Emilia!! Please check KS Crew Challenge blog for the more information.

Here is my take on the challenge :)

I decided to use the vintage die to decorate the corners. This elegant corner die is my all-time favorite!! As you see, I attached the positives on the corners of the background and the part of negatives (that were usually tossed away) on the dark purple square mat. I also added the yellow rhinestones and pearls on the corners.
I used 3 Step Hibiscus set and 3 Step Butterflies set for the focal mat & the sentiment and Big & Bold Swashes set for the background and the border. A little Stickles were added on the flower and butterflies. I used contrasting color combo - purple & yellow...now when I look at the card, it reminds me LSU Tigers, lol. I'm sure my locals would love this card ;)

The sketch was used from Taylor's Sketch challenge 76 (TECC76).



The images were stamped with these steps:
(Hibiscus) 1st - pale plum (stamping off), 2nd - pale plum, 3rd - perfect plum, 4th - perfect plum, 5th - elegant eggplant

(butterflies) 1st - barely banana, 2nd - summer sun, 3rd - elegant eggplant

FS130 & TSG14 -- Dream

Hello everyone~
We finally see a sunshine today just like Featured Stamper 130 (FS130)'s user name -- VA. Sunshine :) Teresa's beautiful gallery totally deserves the spotlight! My eyes were immidiately drawn this gorgeous card she made. I also combined There She Goes challenge 14 (TSG14) to create my card. The challenge was to use at least 3 items you have been hoarding for at least 1 year. I used the cardstock, designer papers and rub-on from one of my neglected scrapbook kits I used to subscribe when I was only a scrapbooker once.

今日は久しぶりに、Featured Stamper 130 (FS130)のハンドルネーム、VA. Sunshine さんの様な太陽が照った日になりました。Teresaさんは、この特別なスポットライトがとても相応しいとても素敵なギャラリーを持っています。今回は、この綺麗なカードが直ぐに目に止まりました。このチャレンジと一緒に、There She Goesチャレンジ14（TSG14)も取り入れています。今回のチャレンジは、最低1年以上使っていないアイテムを最低３つ使って、作品を作るです。私のカードには、ずっと使っていなかったカードストック、デザイナーペーパー、そしてラブオンを使っています。これらは、私がかつてスクラップブッカーだけだった時に、毎月オーダーしていたキットの１つです。

I used Spread Your Wings from There She Goes. I stamped the butterfly image on the designer paper twice and colored them with Copic markers. The layout is same pretty much but I tied the ribbon horizontally. Oh and rub-on was placed on the 2 sides of the background. My daughter did that for me!

スタンプは、There She GoesからのSpread Your Wingsを使い、デザイナーペーパーに、蝶のイメージを2回捺してから、コピックで色を付けました。レイアウトは変えず、リボンだけ横に結んでいます。後はラブオンですが、バックグランドの２隅に、娘が代わって付けてくれました：）

Mojo97 - Spring Song

Hello everyone~
I wanted to upload this card earlier but I had to drive 4 hours to get my daughter from the trip that she took with her cousin. She didn't see her for almost 2 weeks but looks like she grew an inch :)

This card was used the sketch from Mojo Monday 97 (mojo97). The image was colored with Copics and layered the flowers and the hamming bird. You can see some are layered a few times from the photos below. I also added rhinestones and Stickles.

皆さん、こんにちは～ 少し前に、このカードをアップしたかったんですが、親戚と一緒に過ごしていた娘を、往復4時間かけて迎えに行ってました。約2週間ぶりに再会した娘は、何だか少しだけ背が高くなったような気がします＾＾ このカードは、Mojo Monday 97 (mojo97)のスケッチを使いました。イメージは、コピックで色を付けてから、花とハチドリの部分を何層か重ねました。下の写真で、重ねた部分を見ることができます。後は、ラインストーンとSticklesを付けました。

FTTC26 & OCCC

I hope your weekend will be wonderful! I'm going to be busy with a couple projects that need to be done this weekend besides card making :) Sure it would be so nice being in the place like this card...;)

This card was used the sketch from Our Creative Corner challenge (OCCC) and combined with Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge 26 (FTTC26) - use monochromatic colors.

良い週末が過ごせますように。。。私は、カードメイキングの他に、いくつかしなければいけないプロジェクトがあるので、忙しい週末になりそうです。このカードの様な場所で過ごせたらなぁ。。。（笑）

このカードは、Our Creative Cornerチャレンジ（OCCC）のスケッチを使い、Flourishes Timeless Tuesdayチャレンジ26（FTTC26）－モノクロマティックカラーを使ったチャレンジも組み合わせました。
｛ところでカードとは関係ありませんが、Flourishesオープン2周年おめでとうございます!!｝


I love using monochromatic with my cards. This challenge is up to my alley!! I grabbed Beach Life from Flourishes and some subtle blue colors and white to create the card. The main image was stamped with VersaMark on the white cardstock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I used a brayer and inked pale blue on the mat. I also edged & sponged around the image with the darker shade of blue and added river rock color on the edge.

モノクロマティックをカードに使うのは、とても好きなので、今回は頭を捻ることもなく作ることができました。FlourishesのBeach Lifeセットをメインに使い、淡い青系と白を使ってみました。メインのイメージは、ヴァーサマークで白のカードストックにスタンプをし、クリアエンボスパウダーでヒートエンボスしました。その後、ブレイヤーを使って、パネル全体に淡い青色を伸ばし、濃いトーンの青を隅とイメージの周りに暈し、リバーロック色（緑がかった灰色）を隅に少しだけ暈しています。

Ink: VersaMark (Tsukineko), soft sky, river rock, baja breeze (SU)
