It’s a PINK Christmas card!! Don’t you love it?! Again, I used my favorite RI Christmas set, Christmas Penguin :) I hope you are not tired of seeing these penguins … I promise I will use something else after Christmas ;) The ornament part with Angel Penguin (8818-I) can be detached from the card and used as a real ornament :)  The circle edge was decorated with gold glitter. and I sprayed Fixative to keep the glitter intact before attaching the gold code. To finish off, the pink ribbon was attached on the top of the ornament. The sentiment, Christmas Wishes (8915-D) was simply stamped on the oval mat and the gold brads were used as an embellishment.

FTTC95–Doilies

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC95)!! It is the last Tuesday of the month so we have us a challenge host! Mona Pendleton is our challenge host this month! Thanks so much Mona! Mona is challenging us to doilies! You can use actual doilies or create your own with punches or die cuts. The object is to have a doily look! We look forward to seeing what you create!

SONY DSC

I LOVE using doilies..they give warm feelings and wonderful textures to my cards :) Speaking of “warm”, I used Warm Winter Wishes set for today’s card. For the doilies challenge, I simply used the paper doily (you can find it at baking section at major craft store) and the medallion – not simply… I made with the rings corner punch….I think it turned out like a doily! Then I used them as frames. The snowman was colored with Copic markers and attached on the white circle mat. To finish off, I embellished with the punched snowflakes with glitter, linen ribbon and chunky red button.

I thought this color combo & the photo were clean elegant…so I decided to use the flower block stamp from Unity Kit of Month for my card. The image was stamped with VersaFine and I added purple and neutral color on the flowers with Fantastix. Then I masked the image and stamped the flourish image from Growing in Unity set with gray ink. The rests are pretty much what you see…attached the word mat and embellished with twine & pearls.

FTTC94–Cindy’s Sketch

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

FTTC94

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC94)! This week Cindy Haffner is hosting. She is challenging us to a sketch she has designed. As far as sketches go, there is not much of an explanation necessary. You can turn it and modify the shapes to fit your size card, but in the end, it should still look like the sketch. Good Luck! We cannot wait to see what you create with it!

What a fun sketch, Cindy! I decided to use Christmas Tea set for my image. I colored the tea cups with Copic markers and sponged the edge of the mat. The red mat behind the main mat was cut with Label 2 Nestabilities and the designer papers were used for the borders and background. I attached the circle sentiment piece that was created with Nestabilities (circle, lacey circle and scallop circle). To finish off, I embellished the red ribbons with pearls on the two corners and small pearls on the sentiment piece.

Be sure to check out other FOF’s creations!

KS Monday–Card Positioning Systems

NEW_CPSbanner

Hello and Happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. To kick off a new week, we have a fun sketch you can play with. Kitchen Sink Stamp is the company sponsor for Card Position Systems 194 (CPS194)! I hope you have a time to play along the challenge with us. Be sure to check out the CPS Blog on Wednesday for what you could win!! HERE is the page you can enter your card(s). Good luck and enjoy creating :):)

This is my take on the sketch.

SONY DSC

SONY DSCI used 3 Step Holly & Mistletoe set to design the main image & holly frame. This set is the one of the first Christmas sets KSS released and I just got it for my KSS collection (Thanks Maria!!). I don’t know why I waited to get the set til now… the images are absolutely fabulous!

For the holly frame, I adhered the gold glitter to fancy up :) and I trimmed around the greeting and attached it on the bottom. To finish off, I embellished the stamped bow (it’s also from H&M set)! Isn’t the bow gorgeous or what?

These are the steps I did for each image (All inks are Memento):
(Mistletoe) 3rd – paris dusk, 2nd – cottage ivy, 1st – bamboo leaves

(Holly Leaves) 3rd – cottage ivy , 2nd – bamboo leaves, 1st – bamboo leaves (1 x stamp off)

(Berries & Bow) 3rd – rhubarb stalk, 2nd – lady bug, 1st – lady bug (1 x stamp off)
