KS Monday–Bunch O’ Balloons Birthday

Bunch_O_Balloons_2_edited

Happy New Year everyone!

It is my first post of 2012!! Hope your year will be filled with lots of happiness and joy.

I have a quite few family and friends whose birthdays are the month of January, starting from my husband who just turned one year older yesterday!  So, I always make as many birthday cards as I can this time of the year.

I used Multi Step Bunch O’ Balloons for the image and Multi Step Lil’ Elephant for the sentiment.

The set of balloons was stamped  as following these steps: 5th – SU always artichoke, 4th – SU old olive,  3rd – SU mellow moss , 2nd – always artichoke (1 x stamp off), and 1st – old olive (1 x stamp off). The strings were 2nd – SU early espresso, and 1st – early espresso (1 x stamp off). I also stamped the single balloon as 2nd – always artichoke (1 x stamp off), 3rd – old olive, 4th – always artichoke, and 1st – old olive (1 x stamp off).

The card was designed with MME designer papaers and the frame was created with SB label 6 Nestabilities. To finish off, the ribbon was embellished and photo corners were added on the corners.

Be sure to check out what other KS Crews are cookin’ for KS Monday today!!

I used Eco Park Dots & Stripes Christmas papers. Other than that, I stole (got inspired) everything from her card, lol! Can you see I even machine stitched the card?! I hardly use my sewing machine and I love the details that they gave to the card!

It is called “Telescoping Image” and basically stamp the same image on 3 to 4 papers, cut with different sizes, and layer each mat like a telescope. Paperwhites_1-1_edited

For my card, I used Paperwhites to create the telescoping image. I used Copic markers to color the images and cut each one with Spellbinder Nestabilities 14. The mat was sponged with Distress Ink. The card was designed with the cardstock and MME designer papers. The sentiment was also cut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags and adhered on the bottom of the image mat. I dressed the card with white pearls and embellished the ribbon with the button & vintage twine to finish off.
