RI SOTW–Beaver

Beaver_1_edted

Hello again,

This is my second post for today!

This card was made for the Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions!! This week’s SOTW is Beaver (4211-K).  The SOTW is available exclusively to our RI blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Mon, Jun 11 to Sun, Jun 17. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the RI blog, The House That Stamps Built.

The beaver image is so cute but I had a hard time how I designed my card using it….I think it turned out fine though. I stamped the image on the white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I added the water line using black marker and colored the water with Copic markers as well. Then I inked just the branch of the image and stamped the left side of the mat. It was also colored with Copic markers. The bottom of the mat was stamped with Grass Border (1507-J). The rest of the scene was sponged with ink. To finish off, I stamped the sentiment,  I'm so glad... (1807-F) and embellished it with brown pearls.

Be sure to check out the creations by the RI Rock Stars below to get more inspirations too!!

WOW! What an outstanding scene you have created, with the branch and the grass and how you have made the water look clear - Beautiful card!

Beautiful card, Maki! Your scene just looks as if I could jump in and swim right alongside that sweet little guy! Well done!
