I used the sentiment, May Love (425-G) with the image. The image was colored with Copic markers and adhered on the green tag. I layered the designer paper and designed the background with the embossing folder. The red pattern paper strip was added on the bottom of the card. To finish off, the ribbon was dressed on the tag.

The sketch for the card is from Clean & Simple Stamping (FTL166).

  • KS Monday–Warm Winter Wishes

    Invisible_Snowman_2-1_edited

Hello and happy Monday…another week is started and hope you will have a great one!

I was in the mood to make some holiday cards this weekend and decided to bring back my lovely snowman set for today’s Kitchen Sink Monday!!

I used Multi Step Invisible Snowman set. I like how the snowman was turned out after stamping each image! I also like the double embossing technique for the card design. I used the technique for the past challenge assignment recently. Although it was my first time to try and I had to waste a couple card sheets until getting it right, I really liked the technique after all! The process is pretty easy (once you find out what you’re doing, lol) and gives a wonderful look on cards. If you’re interested in the how-to, you can follow HERE for the great tutorial by Beate from SplitcoaststampersI recommend to go there so that you won’t make same mistakes I did :P

    Invisible_Snowman_2-2_edite

To create the snowman, I masked a circle shape first and then sponged ink on the inside of the frame (the frame was added after all sponging and stamping were done).

Each snowman piece was stamped as following these steps: Buttons and Coals – 2nd – Memento tuxedo black, 1st – tuxedo black (1 x stamp off), Carrot – 3rd – SU cajun craze (1 x stamp off), 2nd – SU pumpkin pie, 1st – pumpkin pie (1 x stamp off), Pipe – 3rd – SU early espresso, 2nd – SU chocolate chip, 1st – SU crumb cake, Scarf – 2nd – SU riding hood red, 1st – riding hood red (1 x stamp off), Hat – 4th – tuxedo black, 3rd – SU basic gray, 2nd – basic gray (1 x stamp off), 1st – Memento london fog.

The hat and scarf were stamped on the scrap paper, trimmed and adhered on the snowman. The hearts were stamped with SU riding hood red. You can see I stamped off once for the middle heart and twice for the top heart. To finish off, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom corner.

Be sure to check out what other KS Crews are cookin’ for KS Monday today!!

    Turkey_Trot_2_edited

Hello and happy Kitchen Sink Monday everyone~

Hope your weekend was great! I did 5K for Hustle for Hope (I walked with fast pace) and put a new floor with my husband last Saturday. My body was aching and I was so sleepy all day yesterday lol. My daughter ran 5K and she didn’t have any pains…good to be young, isn’t it?

I made this card for the next coming up holiday….Thanksgiving :) I used 3 Step Turkey Trot. I love using this set for Thanksgiving projects every year! This set is “must-have” in my opinion!

The turkey was stamped as following these steps: 3rd – Memento rich cocoa, 2nd – Memento rhubarb stalk, 1st – Memento cantaloupe. The card was designed with the cardstocks and Basic Gray paper. The background was dry embossed with the embossing folder. To finish off, the baker’s twine and rhinestones were embellished.

This card was used the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS133) .
