It's a beautiful day here in Texas after the heavy rain went through last night.
My son came home from shcool with a stomach bug yesterday. Fortunately he is fine now and 100% recovered, but I decided to let him stay at home today.
I did SCS challenges yesterday and made 2 cards. If you read my blog from time to time, you already know I'm a big fan of SCS challenges and Sketch challenge is my favorite one so far. SC205 is no exceptional. I had so much fun to play it :)

ここテキサスは、昨晩の豪雨の後、快晴のお天気です。
息子が、昨日ストマックフルー(腸炎）を貰ってきて、学校を早退してきました。でも、今日はすっかり良くなり、元気に遊んでいますが、とりあえず学校を休ませています。
昨日は、ＳＣＳのチャレンジを使って、２枚のカードを作りました。私のブログを時々読みに来てくださっている皆さんは、もうお察しだと思いますが、私は、大のＳＣＳチャレンジファンです。特にスケッチチャレンジは、１番大好きなチャレンジで、今回のスケッチ、SC205も例外なく楽しみました。
This card is also used SCS Color Combination challenge 195. The combo was all neutrals - basic black, sahara sand and very vanilla. I challenged myself to make a holiday card with the colors.
It was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I love the sotificated look the color combo brings.
I just got VersaMark Dazzle (champagne) the other day and I was itching to use it. I stamped the snowflake on the background panel with VersaMark Dazzle and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The ink really gives the beautiful dazzle on the image. It's really hard to see on the photo but the snowflakes are really shimmery IRL.
After the panels were distressed with black and sandy color, I stamped the swirls with the black ink.
このカードは、ＳＣＳのカラーコンビネーションチャレンジ１９５も取り入れてます。カラーコンボは、全てナチュラル系-黒、薄茶、バニラ色のコンボです。自分のチャレンジとして、この色でホリデーカードを作ってみました。私にとっては、とても難しい色のコンボですが、この色が醸し出す上品な雰囲気が大好きです。
この前、購入したVersaMark Dazzle (シャンパン色）を、早速使ってみました。雪の結晶を、このインクを使ってバックグランドに捺し、クリアエンボスパウダーで、ヒートエンボスをしました。インクが、イメージに、美しいキラキラを出しｔくれます。画像では見難いですが、実物は、雪の結晶がもっと輝いています。
黒と薄茶で、パネルをディストレスした後、スワールのスタンプを、黒のインクで捺しました。

The second card is also used the same sketch (SC205). I made the embossed background panel for the first card shown above, but I decided not to use it. It was on my desk all day and begging me to be used ;) So I gave it the second chance, lol.
I added 3 different colors on the panel and picked the red card base. Then I made the main panel and attached the ribbon.
The cute stamped image is from Odd Bird Planet! It was colored with Copic markers and the blanket was paper-pieced. My friend Rina was right! OBP stamps are so adorable and fun!
２枚目のカードも、同じスケッチ（ＳＣ２０５）を使っています。エンボスをしたパネルは、最初のカードに使う予定でしたが、気に入らずそのまま机の上に放ってましたが、勿体無いな～と思ったので、再度使う事に。
パネルに３色違う色を付けて、赤のカードベースを使う事にしたら、何だかいい感じになったので、メインのパネルと、リボンを付けて完成させました。
この可愛いイメージは、Odd Bird Planetのスタンプです! コピックマーカーで色を付け、ブランケットは、ペーパーピースをしてあります。rinaさ～んの言う通り！ＯＢＰのスタンプは、どれも可愛らしくて、とっても楽しいですね。
