Great way to whip the card for all of Fathers out there before this coming Sunday! Please visit Flourishes blog for more information about the challenge.

For my card, I used Father’s Day set. I die cut the classic white cardstock and yellow cardstock with Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole die set. They were stacked one another for the dimension and adhered on the tag of Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3 die. The tag was embellished with Want2Scrap Nestabling. I used the Kaiser Bonjour designer papers and colored cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Botanical Bookplates Vol.2 and cut out with SB Fancy Tags die. The mat was sponged with Memento summer sky. The card was tied with the satin finish cotton ribbon and embellished with the vintage twine. Then the tag that was created with Tiny Flowers and Tags set and Tailor-Made Classic Tags die, and the paper rose were added to finish off.

I used the color combo from CR84FN Color Challenge (CR84FN53).

The pink zinnia was stamped as following these steps: 5th – SU chocolate chip (1 x stamp off), 4th – SU melon mambo, 3rd – SU pixie pink, 2nd – pixie pink (1 x stamp off), and 1st – SU pink pirouette. The orange zinnia was: 5th – chocolate chip, 4th – SU cajun craze, 3rd – SU tangerine tango, 2nd – tangerine tango (1 x stamp off), and 1st – SU peach parfait. The leaves were : 3rd – SU wild wasabi, 2nd – SU pear pizzazz, and 1st – pear pizzazz (1 x stamp off).

The white circle mat was dry embossed with the embossing folder and the word was stamped on mat that was cut with one of the Spellbinders nested pennants dies. To finish off, the card was dressed with the rhinestones.

    Here is my take :)

I enjoyed making this card so much…I am so ready for working holiday cards now…hope it will last until I make plenty enough for sending out!

    SONY DSC

I colored the image with Copic markers and added sparkles with glitter pens – It is hard to see the sparkles from the photo though :( The image mat was cut with Nestabilities  and the pines were stamped around the edge.  The card was designed with the cardstocks and designer papers. The red background was dry embossed and the designer paper were punched with border punch. The kraft circle mat was cut with Nestabilities. For the sentiment, the word “sparkle” was drawn with the red glitter pen and attached above the bow. To finish off, the ribbon, poinsettias and rhinestones were embellished.

This card has been submitted to CR84FN Color Challenge 40 (CR84FN40) and Sweet Stop Sketch 129 – revisiting SSS37 (SSS129).

    FTTC137–Set the Table

    SONY DSC

    Hello everyone~

Hope your place is cooler than my place…I don’t know where the cool fall days went but I’d love to see them come back!! At least I can feel the fall season with my creation ;)

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC137)! Tammy is challenging us to make something for *a holiday table setting*. Please visit Flourishes Blog for more information about the challenge. Looking forward to seeing your creation!!

To be honest, I had never made anything for a table setting before…not even a place card! I had some ideas and things I wanted to do for the challenge but those ideas are getting bigger in my head and they were getting overwhelming…So, I decided to get some inspirations from SCS Resources and I found a tutorial of triangle box. I thought it would be a cute box to put mints or chocolates in for each guest. Then I decided to make a matching place card and napkin ring.

    SONY DSC

    SONY DSC

I used a new stamp set, A Season of Thanks set for the place/tent card. The image was colored with Copic markers. The stamp from Country Charm Labels was used for the name plate (Kim is my daughter’s name). The inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment, “a note of Thanksgiving” so that I can leave *thank you* message for my guests :) I also used the retired stamp, Autumn Flourishes for the all projects.

This has been submitted to CR84FN Color Challenge 39 (CR84FN39).

    Hello everyone~

It’s time for Kitchen Sink Monday!! First of all, my thoughts and prayers are people in TX, who has been fighting for the large wild fire since Sunday…mostly the fires are in the central TX but fires popped from here and there in northeast Texas where I live too. The winds from the hurricane are not helping at all :( God, please bring a lot of rain, not just winds!!

I made this cowboy boots card, using Friday Sketch Carte Challenge (FSCC35). I used the inspiration of the boots from My daughter’s new boots. The boots are from Multi Cowboy Boots and the words are from Multi Step Cowboy Hat.

The boots were stamped as following these steps: 3rd – SU pool party, 2nd – SU soft suede (1 x stamp off), 1st – SU crumb cake, 4th – SU turquoise blue, 5th – SU not quite navy.

The hemp twine was looped around the lacey circle mat and also used for the border accent. To finish off, the vintage rhinestone brads were attached on the card.

This card has been submitted to the CR84FN Color Challenge 37 (CR84FN37).

    FTTC132- Focus on Sentiments

    SONY DSC

    Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~

I am happy to tell you that my kids had a great first day of school yesterday! I went back to my taxi mom job again too :) As much as I love the lazy days of summer, I also love these busy school schedule too!

I made one card for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC132) . Cindy is challenging us to use a sentiment(s) as a focal point of your creation! Please visit Flourishes Blog for more information about the challenge. Can’t wait to see your creation!

I decided to use Bee My Honey for today’s card. To try not to make the image for the focal point, I stamped it with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I lightly colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped on the lacey circle panel and I sponged with ink. The sentiment panel was mounted on the yellow fancy tag panel. and embellished with linen ribbon. I hope the way I designed the card will bring your eyes to the sentiment more than the image :)

This card is also submitted to CR84FN Color Challenge 36 (CR84FN36) and Crazy 4 Challenges 101 (C4C101) - I did the row of Embossing, Die Cuts and Ribbon.

    Hello everyone~

It’s Monday and also time for Kitchen Sink Monday! I made one card using the sketch from Friday Sketch Carte Challenge (FSCC31) and CR84FN Color Challenge 35 (CR84FN35).

I stamped the lilac was stamped as following these steps: 4th – Memento grape jelly, 3rd – Memento lilac posies, 2nd – Memento lulu lavender, 1st – lulu lavender (1 x stamp off). I stamped Bird & Blossoms (1321-M) on the watercolor paper and colored with some dye ink using watercolor brush. Then the colored image was placed on the lattice frame. I used Happy Everything (3104-F) for the sentiment. To finish off, I dressed the card with the ribbon and rhinestones.

The colors were inspired from CR84FN Color Challenge 32 (CR84FN32).
