Jessica's Surprise Blog Hop!!

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

I have one card for one special stamping friend :) :) It’s Jessica Knutsen’ s birthday tomorrow and her stamping friends including me decided to throw The Surprise Birthday Blog Hop today – (due to the busy week for There She Goes, we’re going to do this blog hop today). If you came over from Lisa’s blog, you’re on a right place. If you like to start this hop, please visit Angela’s blog for the first hop. Hope you will have a fun this hop with us!!

Happy Birthday Jessica!!!

Wishing you a year with loads of happiness, excitement and beautiful memories!

I used one of Torico’s sets, Wrapped in Joy and made an easel card. I have submitted this to TSG Challenge 108 (TSG108) – make an easel card. I colored the image with Copic markers and adhered on the frame piece that was created with Nestabilities. The sentiment piece was also created with the same Nestabilities dies. I *heart* the DCVW paper stack I used for the card. All papers are kraft base…so fun and pretty!! To finish off the card, I embellished the bow w/ brad and pearls.

TSG58 & SCS CC274 – Just a Note

SONY DSC

Hello again,

This is another catching up card with a couple challenges I wanted to try this week. Although I’m trying to finish some deadlines before leaving for my husband’s side family reunion this weekend, I just love trying challenges…and feel great when it’s accomplished, lol!

SONY DSC

For this card, I used the sketch from There She Goes challenge (TSG58) and combined with SCS Color Combination challenge 274 (CC274).

This color combo is a little hard for me to work with…I don’t know why it was….they are beautiful colors together. I decided to play TSG What’s Up Buttercup? set and colored with Copic markers. I sponged the circle mat just like Jodi showed us in Wednesday Trends HERE :) I used 2 kinds of embossing folders for the back panels and embellished with the gingham ribbon and epoxy dots.

Stamps: What’s Up Buttercup? (TSG)
Paper: classic white (Florishes), tempting turquoise, ruby red, cameo coral dp (SU)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), tempting turquoise (SU), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon, epoxy dots
Tools: classic circle Nestablities, CB embossing folders, piercing tools

Thank you for stopping by.

TSG55 & CC271

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

I had so fun with creating this card above. It was created for There She Goes challenge 55 (TSG55) – Make an Impression….create a card using line art as your background. I also combined SCS Color Combination challenge 271 (CC271).

I used She’s A Lady set (the lady), Daily Grind set (the cafe image & sentiment) and Domestic Goddess set (the word bubble). I love some of TSG sets works mixing & matching very well and those are the ones I can play together over and over :):)
The lady image was colored with Copic markers. I used the designer paper from Basic Gray to close to the color combo and cut out the window with Label 1 Nestabitilies. The ribbon & button were simply attached to finish the card.

Here is the inside of the card.

SONY DSC

See, the images works perfectly together :):)

TSG52, CC268 -- In a Garden of Friends

Hello again~
It's a second post in a day :):) While I was waiting the new stamps from There She Goes, I played There She Goes challenge 52 (TSG52) - Mercy's rockin' sketch! This wonderful color combo is from SCS Color Combination challenge 268 (CC268).

I colored the beautiful image from TSG Garden of Friends with Copic markers. The flower part was layered with dimensional adhesives to extend the image outside the circle mat. I messed up embossing the white background :p It's probably not noticeable if I didn't mention it, but I just wanted to let you know that the space between the embossing on the bottom was created by accident, lol.

Stamps: Garden of Friends (TSG)
Paper: classic white (Flourishes), barely banana, ballet blue (SU), glitter DP (MME)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), old olive (SU), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon, dew drops
Tools: Label 3 and classic circle Nestabilities, CB embossing folder, word window punch

Thank you for stopping by.

TSG49, MTSC68, C4C32 -- Life is Beach!

Hello everyone~
You know I didn't stamp for 4 days...it was a little frustrating when my mojo seemed to take a high road. However, I finally went to my stamp room and actually stamped today!! It ended up a very productive day! Yay!!

This card was used the color combo from There She Goes challenge 49 (TSG49). After I found the perfect DP to use, I decided to play with Life is Beach set. The card layout is from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge 68 (MTSC68). I also combined the challenge from Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C32) - Easy as 1,2,3!! -- Use one ribbon, two brads or buttons, and three punches. I used two scalloped circle punches and the round tab punch. The smaller scalloped circle was also embossed with Nestabilities.

Stamps: Life is Beach (TSG)
Paper: kiwi kiss, barely banana (SU), classic whtie (Flourishes), Citrus DPs (DCVW)
Ink:
Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), cool caribbean (SU), Copic markers
Accessaries: ribbon, buttons, twine

TSG47 -- One Layer Card

Hello everyone~
It's going to be a quick post...this card was my take on There She Goes challenge 47 (TSG47), one layer card!! Yeah...easy to say but hard to make for me, lol.
I used my new favorite set, Dance. It's not too much to say about the technique but I draw the line around the quote instead of having the layer. The flowers on the background were stamped with 2 different shade of pink. The main flowers were colored with Copic marker.

There She Goes is doing the new release sneak peek this week! The Trendsetters are doing a super fabulous job for the Sneak Peeks as always. Can't wait to get those new sets :):)

Stamps: Dance (TSG)
Paper: ivory cardstock
Ink:
Memento rich cocoa, angel pink, rose bud, SU chocolate chip marker
Accessaries: pearls

Thank you for stopping by. I'm coming back for Kitchen Sink Monday! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend :)

TSG46 & CTD84

Happy Spring everyone~
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. My kids are going to have Spring Break next week so I'm probably going to cut down my stamping time and enjoy spending a time with them.

Today's card is used the sketch from There She Goes challenge 46 (TSG46). I also combined the color combo from Color Throwdown (CTD84). I already wanted to use the set, Loads of Fun for the sketch and I thought the color combo would be great with the washer and dryer image :)
The image was colored with Copic markers. The sentiment says "Around here, 'Normal' is just a setting on the washing machine"... just like my house, lol.

Stamps: Loads of Fun (TSG)
Paper: tangeling tango, soft sky, white, black, SU retired dp
Ink:
Memento tuxedo black, soft sky, taken with teal, Copic markers, white gel pen
Accessaries: pearls, ribbon, button

TSG43 -- Sparkle Birthday

To see Ktichen Sink Crew Challenge post, please scroll down to the next post.
Thank you ~

Hello eveyrone~
This week is another fun week for There She Goes!! If you like to know all about the TSG scoops and news, I recommend you to subscribe the TSG newsletter (click HERE)! Don't forget to check out TSG blog on Wednesday for March sneak peek & blog hop challenge!!

To kick off the fun week, I made the card for TSG challenge 43 (TSG43) - Sparkle Birthday. The challenge is to create a birthday card!! There is a catch -- you have to have some sort o sparkle on the card :) Hope you will play along with us! After all, you may win $5 gift certificate to spend at TSG store!! Just click HERE to find out the challenge detail and what some of Trendsetters have created.

My card was used the new set Aim For The Clouds. As you see, I used the red and blue rhinestones for the challenge. The both balloons were paper pieced with the fun designer papers from DCVW. The clouds were colored with PTI fresh snow pigment ink and the blender pen. I just dubbed the tip of the pen on the ink pad and soaked the ink color before painting the clouds. The coloring method worked so wonderfully with kraft paper!

Stamps: Aim For The Clouds (TSG)
Paper: kraft (PTI), riding hood red (SU), blue cardstock, designer papers (DCVW)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), fresh snow (PTI), pacific point, riding hood red (SU), Copic markers, blender pen
Accessories: ribbon, rhinestones
Tools: Nestabilities, border punch

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

TSG41 -- Color Challenge

Hello everyone~
Well, I hope all of you are staying safe and warm. We had about 6 inches snow in East Texas!! That's nothing comparing with the one in North but it was a huge for us! As we expected, our ISD was closed on Friday! I'm glad my kids had a chance to play with snow and they had so much fun!! Unfortunately the snow already started melting and it's so muddy right now :(

I also have one card to show you today.
There She Goes challenge 41 (TSG41) has been posted since Monday and I finally got to play :P The Trendsetter of the week, Dawn is challenging us to use the color combo, red, pink and brown. My mood was something cold...so I picked Ice Cream mini set to create the card for the challenge :) I LOVE Neapolitan flavor because it's such a simple and classic combo -- vanilla, chocolate and strawberry in one bowl...can't beat the deal, lol. The name "Neapolitan" always makes me chuckle too...For a long time, I used to believe and call the flavor "Napoleon" until my hubby mentioned one day :*

I colored the ice cream image with Copic markers and stamped "Ice Cream " around the edge.
SCS Sketch challenge 265 (SC265) was inspired for the layout of the card. You can tell I didn't stick to the sketch, especially for the main mat ;)

Stamps: Ice Cream (TSG)
Paper: dark chocolate (PTI), classic white (Flourishes), designer paper (DCWV)
Ink:
Memento rich cocoa, lady bug (Tsukineko), Copic markers, white gel pen
Accessaries: ribbon, button, vintage twine
Tools: photo corner punch

These are some photos I took for last 2 days.

Thursday (Feb 11th)
The snowman needs a stylish head band, lol!

I love this photo...looks like Lemon Lime (dog) is helping to build a snow man :):)

Friday (Feb 12th)
Texas winter wonderland!!

Trey could build the bigger snow men :) Woohoo!!
This cat LOVED the snow! He is definitely a cat for North, lol.

Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

TSG Sneak Peek -- Chemistry

Hello everyone~ It's the final day of TSG February Sneak Peek and Blog Hop Challenge!! If you came from Julie's blog, you are on a right track. If you not, you may want to start from TSG blog for fun! You will have a chance to win the new release sets when you participate the blog hop challenge!! Hope you will play along with us this fun event!

Today's sneak peek set is called Chemistry. This set is a fabulous collaboration work of Michele and Jessica. Michele was the lucky winner of the Release Party Chat last month and the winning prize was to work with Jessica for the brand new mini set to add to the TSG stamp line. Michele came up the brilliant idea of the theme since both she and her husband are chemists (she is a chemistry teacher). I can tell they had a lot of fun with creating the design because the set turned into a 4x8 set including 18 images and 12 sentiments, lol! This lovely set will be sold for $18.

I used the sketch from this week's TSG challenge (TSG39)...(btw the challenge is still going on until the next TSG challenge is posted at TSG blog. Play along with us and win $5 gift certificate to spend at TSG store! )
When I got the set, I saw the tiny hearts with different sizes and I thought they were the cutest things :):) I stamped the heart images on the circle mat with several different inks randomly and adhered the measuring glasses (is it how to call?, if not, correct me please?) image that was colored with Copics. Since the heart stamps are the ones I got inspired to create the card, I threw more hearts all over to complete the card :):)

- So, do you wanna win Chemistry set?
Here’s what you need to do - go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Chemistry post. Then return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own set of Chemistry. The winner will be announced Saturday (Jan 30th) during the Release Party Chat.

Next, give some LOVE for what Sandra has created for the blog hop!

Stamps: Chemistry (TSG)
Paper: riding hood red, pink pirouette (SU), classic white (Flourishes), designer paper (SEI)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, cantaloupe, ladybug, sweet plum, rose bud (Tsukineko), Copic markers
Accessories: heart stickers, pearls

Tools: Nestabilities, border punch, photo corner punch

The Release Party Chat is going to be held at TSG Forum from 6pm pacific time tomorrow, Saturday January 30th. Hope you will come chat with us :)

Last but not least, today (January 29th) is my sweet (most of the time, lol) daughter, Kimberly's 12th birthday!! We are celebrating her b-day at our local bowing center tonight with about 20 kids! I hope everything will go smoothly...(knock on wood) Hope you will have a wonderful and safe weekend.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hello everyone~
It's almost middle of the week...I love having a long weekend but it always messes my week and ends up I have so many things to do the end of week, lol. I wonder it's happened to you, too...

I'm so excited about today because January 11th is my dear Mother in law's birthday!! I can't help bragging I have the best MIL in the world!! She is my best friend, teacher and cheerleader. I used the set, Birdie Wishes (I think these birdies are so stinkin' cute!) from There She Goes. I used the buttons, dew drops and ric rac ribbon for the embellishments. If the sewing thread can be counted as a part of embellies, I used 4 different embellishments! Yay!!

Today's card was for There She Goes challenge 35 (TSG35) -- to make a card/project that features flowers. As soon as I found the challenge was, I knew what I was going to use...but it took a little long to create it :P I try not to be so late for the future TSG challenges ;)
I used the sketch from Mojo Monday (MOJO119). The stamp set I used was called Garden of Friends, the beautiful flower set of the newest release. The image was stamped on the watercolor paper and water-colored with distress inks & Twinkling H2Os - chestnut brown.

Color Throwdown #73 and more

Hello everyone~
I'm so excited to know There She Goes is sponsoring Color Throwdown #73!! The lucky winner of the challenge will win one TSG stamp set of their choice! Make sure to enter your name and project on Mr. Linky of the challenge post for a chance to win!

So, what do you think about my card?? I had a lot fun making it, lol. They are bright, fun and bold all together! I combined There She Goes challenge 33 (TSG33) and SCS Sketch challenge 259 (SC259). TSG33 is hosted by the Trendsetter, Wendy and SC259 is hosted by another Trendsetter, Holly :):)
I started with stamping the snowflake images on the background panel using Stick Together. The polka dots mats from DCVW were already embossed and glittered (nice!). The always artichoke border was embossed using CB embossing folder and DTPed with white ink.
The main mat was created using Penguin Love. All images were colored with Copics and Stickles was added on the snow.

Stamps: Penguin Love, Stick Together (TSG)
Paper: cool caribbean, real red (SU), Bazzil cardstock, DCVW dp, classic white (Flourishes)
Ink: cool caribbean, real red, kiwi kiss, always artichoke (SU), Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbons, rhinestones

Tools: Nestabilities, CB embossing folder

Here is what happened today....
I was planning to post this card earlier but School called me that my son was sick so I had to pick him up early. He was at home the last 2 days and he looked fine this morning...so I sent him to school....bad judgement of mine :( So after I got him, I took him to the clinic. The doctor told me he got ear & throat infection...yikes! I'm just glad this happened this week, not next week ;) He has a plenty time to rest before the big day coming :):)

Well, that's all from me. Thank you for stopping by.

TSG32 -- Tag!

Hello everyone~
This week Sandra is TSG Spotlight over TSG Blog and she is challenging us to create tags. The challenge (TSG32) was just perfect for me because I was going to prepare for a little gift for my son's classmates.

I got those holiday theme pencils at Dollar Tree and the tag with ribbon was tied around the 2 pencils. The tags were created using Holiday Tags and some fun holiday papers from My Mind's Eye. The images were colored with Copics.
I love to pimp up (lol) the little gift like them and so as my kids...I'm very happy my son loves what I did :):) Now I can take off the project from my To Do list, lol.
