I'm Back part 2

More cards I made so far.

This card is for SCS's Technique Lovers Challenge 174.
The challenge was "watrecoloring with re-inkers".

I love watercoloring!! This is one of my favorite techniques. For this card, I watercolored with Stampin' Markers. I just scrubbed the markers on the plastic palette, and I picked the colors with the watercolor brush.

The stamp is Sweet Art Ebony collection from Sugar Nellie. You can get the stamps from Funky Kits. Funky Kits are the only store that carries Sugar Nellie stamps. I definitely go back there to shop more!!

This is what I made:

I really like how it turned out! I admire Michelle Zindorf 's work, and I read every single post of her blog, Freedom In Creating. If you haven't read her blog yet, please check out!!
For this card, I used the resist technique from one of her tutorial.

After I watercolored the flower image, I colored with VarsaMark Marker the image and heat-embossed with clear emboss powder.
Then I stamped the word definition and sponged blue & green ink on it. I also used gray ink for shadowing and Signo white gel pen for highlighting.

I'm Back!

Hello~, everyone!
I'm back. My husband left for business trip last Tuesday, and looks like he is coming back home in the end of July :(

Eventhough I was away from my blog, I didn't quit making cards!
I have 6 cards and 1 ATC to show you for the next few posts. Are you ready?

First, this card is for Our Creative Corner weekly challenge.
The challenge was to use at least 1 button and 1 brad on your project.

I used brads for apples on the tree and buttons for the ground. I also doodled faux stitches. I really love the colors that make me think yummy fruits!

Stamps: Father Knows Best
Paper: creamy caramel, pumpkin pie, wild wasabi (Stampin' Up!), white cardstock (Papertrey Ink), patterned papers (Making Memories)
Ink: close to cocoa, old olive, soft sky, wild wasabi, creamy caramel (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories: brads (Stampin' Up!), buttons (Bazzil), ribbon (Michael's)

Next one is the card for Featured Stamper 72 from SCS. The featured stamper was Diane (SCS name Lost in the 60s).
I cased this from her beautiful gallery
(SCS name Lost in the 60s)でした。

This is the card I made.

Aren't these flowers beautiful? I love how she created the flowers and I had to try it!
I stamped the different sizes of the flowers with VarsaMark on a white cardstock. Then I heat embossed with white embossing powder, and I just sponged the flower with dark and light pink ink.

Here is the close-up:

Stamps: Beautiful Blooms, Simple Little Things (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: white cardstock, berry sorbet, sweet blush (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: berry sorbet, sweet blush (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: ribbon (Papertrey Ink), jewel stones(Swarovski)

I will post more cards later.....

Sketch Challenge 181

This card was made on Wednesday, but I didn't have a time to upload until now.
I made it with using the sketch from Sketch Challenge 181 from SCS.

I colored the image with Copics and water-colored the background with Pallette re-inker from Papertrey Ink. I'm still learning to color with the markers, but so far I like the result.

The close-up:

I hope you can see the dimensional of the image. I colored the stamped image on another cardstock and cut and mounted some of the flower pots on the original image.

Stamps: Sweet Herbs (Stampin' Up!)
Paper: chocolate chip (Stampin' Up!) patterned paper, spring moss, white cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Brilliance (Tsukineko), reinkers (Papertrey Ink), Copic marker (.Too)
Accessories: ribbon (Papertrey Ink)

I am going to busy with my family this weekend. My husband is going to business trip from this coming Tuesday and he won't be back until August. We are going to try to finish some projects and have some family time before he leaves.
I will be back sometime nextweek.
Have a nice weekend!!

I'm little behind...

Today, I have 2 cards to show you. I'm little behind for the all challenges I play.
Every challenges are so exciting to try, and I really like to try all!!! But I just don't have enough time to do all of them within the same day the challenges were posted.
It's not like I'm very busy. I'm just slow...like turtles. But it's very sure I enjoy everything of the creating process from start to finish.

Now, back to 2 cards I made....
The first card is for the challenge from Our Creative Corner (OCC). The talented stampers just started this weekly challenge. I'm sure there are more fun challenges to come, and I'm very looking forward to playing.

This week's challenge from OCC was a sketch challenge (OCCC).
This is the sketch, and I made this.

The close-up:

Isn't that such a cute image? The Stamp is from Magnolia Stamps. I purchased some of their stamps from Crafty Krafts. I just love the word "ON SALE", lol!!
I colored the image with Copics and paper pieced her shirt. Some Stickles on the wings, little touching with Signo white gel pen, distressing, dry embossing and embellishments were used for the final touch.

Stamps: Tilda (Magnolia Stamps)
Paper: White cardstock (Papertrey Ink), ballet blue, real red (Stampin' Up!), patterned paper, texture cardstock (DCWV)
Ink: Brilliance (Tsukineko), distress ink (Ranger) Copic markers (.Too)
Accessories: flowers (Prima), Brad (Stampin' Up!), ribbon (Michael's)

Next card...I made the card for Color Combinations Challenge 171 (CC171) from SCS.
This is today's colors, and the card I made:

I know, I know, it's a little too early for showing Christmas cards!! But I think this is very pretty color combos for snowflakes and winter scenes.
I made 2 panels using The Snowflake Spot stamp set with soft sky and off-stamped creamy caramel. I stamped "JOY" on the one panel and punched out with scalloped circle punch. I layered it on another punched-out Kraft piece and adhered with dimensional adhesives on the snowflake panel.
I did some distressing, doodling and tie the ribbon to finish the card.

Stamps: The Snowflake Spot, Letterpress Alphabet (Stampin' Up!)
Paper: soft sky, basic black, kraft, whisper white (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: soft sky, creamy caramel, whisper white craft (Stampin' Up!) Brilliance (Tsukineko)
Accessories: ribbon (Stampin' Up! and Hobby Lobby)

I try to finish Sketch challenge from SCS today, and I hope I can upload very soon.
Thank you for stopping by~.

Technique Lover's Challenge 173

Happy Monday, everyone~
You know why I'm so happy? Because I had a chance to play Techinque Lover's Challenge (TLC) again!!
I love to learn the new techniques!! And today's Challenge (TLC173) was something I never did before.

TLC173 is ”making own shimmer/glimmer spray”. I read about the tutorial that was written by my friend, Miho (Tipo) for a while back, and I always wanted to try it one day. Finally, I'm glad I had a chace to play with it for the first time!

In SCS challenge, Beth used Perfect Pearl, water and reinker. Unfortunately, I didn't have Perfect Pearl....so I decided to use Pearl Ex, rubbing alcohol and reinker instead.

To make the shimmer spray, I mixed
a little bit of flamingo pink Pearl Ex,
a littl bit of aztec gold Pearl Ex,
about 1 oz rubbing alcohol
and about 10 drops of Stampin' Up! cameo coral reinker
in the spray bottle.

Pearl Ex flamingo pink 少量
Pearl Ex aztec gold
Stampin' Up! cameo coral

This is what I made:

It's very hard to see the shimmer on the photo, but it's very pretty in real life.

For the background, I stamped Polka-dots stamp with VarsaMark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I sprayed the shimmer mixture. After the paper was dried, I stamped the butterflies and flowers to make patterned backgroud.
For the main panel, I also sprayed the shimmer mixture and stamped the butterfly. After I made the polka-dot butterfly on the different cardstock with the same process with the background panel, I cut and adhered on the main panel.

I added some prima flowers, ribbon and Stickles to finish the card.

I hope you can look the shimmer with this close-up:

It's a fun challenge to play! I hope you have a time to try one or two too!
Have a great day!

Stamps:Butterfly Kisses, Polka Dot Basics (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: White cardstock (Papertrey Ink), cameo coral, pumpkin pie (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: cameo coral, pumkin pie (Stampin' Up!) VarsaMark (Tsukineko)
Accessories: flowers (Prima), Brads (Stampin' Up!), ribbon (Michael's)

Featured Stamper 71

I just finished my card for Featured Stamper Challenge from SCS.
It's been too long since the last time I did any challenge. I'm little nervous but so glad to get back stamping again!

Featured Stamper 71 is Denise (SCS name denidill). Please check out her gallery! You will be glad!! I am really imspired the ways she uses ribbons, and of course her cards are all beautiful to case.

I cased this card, and this is what I made:

I used the same sketch and stamp set, but I changed the whole color combination and embellishments.
I colored the flower and bee with Prisma color pencils and Goo Gone Spray Gel. I also stamped and colored the images with the same way on the defferent white cardstock. I cut and adhered them to the original images with some dimentional stickers. For the background, I just sponged some ink like Denise did her card. At last, I used Stickles to finish the images.
I didn't have the flowers that were matched with the blue. So I colored with Stampin' marker.
This stamp set is always my favorite, and I'm very happy with how the card was turned out.

The close-up:

Here is the gallery you can check what the other fabulous stampers did!
Thank you for stopping by.

Stamps: In Full Bloom (Stampin' Up!)
Paper: patterned paper (My Mind's Eye), ballet blue, wild wasabi, whisper white (Stampin' Up!)
Ink: basic black, ballet blue, wild wasabi (Stampin' Up!)
Accessories: flowers (Prima), Brads (Making Memories), ribbon (Unknown but I got it Michael's)

More Changes

How's been your summer so far?
Mine has been so far so good but it's getting too hot where I live.
My kids are out of school!! They are trying to get Texas heat as much as possible {grin}.

I changed my blog banner today. What do you think?
I'd like to hear your thoughts about the new banner!

Speaking of the change, the background of photos is different from now on.
This is why.... I wanted to take some photos of my cards but I just didn't have a great location to take nice pictures. I always wanted a light box, but I just couldn't wait for a week, lol.
So......I made one!
It ends up much cheaper than I planed to spend. Of course it's not pretty but it still does the job!

I used the basic idea to make this light box --->Strobist

This is the first photo using my light box.

I made this card about a month ago but never took a picture until now.
I colored with Prismacolor and Goo Gone Spray Gel( yes! it works). I also stamped and colored some of the image on the different cardstock. Then I cut and adhered them with dimentional stickers to make more 3D looks.

*Goo Gone

I think that's all for now.
Have a great day!!

Stamps:Main image (House-Mouse designs), sentiment (Paper Trey Ink)
Paper: patter paper (Making Memories), cardstock (Paper Reflections)
Ink: Brilliance (Tsukineko)
Accessories: flowers (Imaginisce), brads (Making Memories)

Time flies

Wow!! Long time no see, my friend.
It's been almost 3 months since updated my blog!!!
Time flies so fast these day, doesn't it?

My life has changed since then. I moved from Aomori, Japan to Texas, USA for good. It was very-busy-3 months. I'm so tired with moving, cleaning and organazing....Although I still have a lot of things to do around the house, I'm glad to say that my creating mood is gradually back.

I'm going to show my new creations very soon. Please stay tuned....

{I decided to write English version for this blog for my friends all over the world}
