Daffodils_RI_1_edited

Happy Leap Day everyone!! Hope your leap day is super wonderful…whether or not, it comes only once every four years ;) Better to be wonderful, right?
It is time for Designer’s Choice Challenge from Repeat Impressions! It is Karen’s turn to host and she is challenging us to make a spring themed card with pastel colors. I decided to create one layer card, using the sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping (FTL179) . First, I stamped the sentiment, Happy Easter/Spring (3909-F) and masked it, Then I stamped Daffodils (904-L) and colored with Copic markers. To finish off, I tied the ribbon and attached the button with vintage twine.

Garden_Fresh_FLLC_1-1_edite

Happy Tuesday everyone~

Well, it is actually before 11PM on Monday and I usually finish writing the post for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge by now and I was planning to mention about Daytona 500 … However, the race is not finished yet due to the fire on the track!! Poor drivers and NASCAR people. They must be so exhausted!

Anyway, the show must go on and so does this week’s Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC158) ! Tammy is challenging us to create something inspired by *country living*. For example, a farm-theme, gardening, country patterns (gingham, plaid, calico), quilts, wildflowers... the possibilities are endless! Please visit Flourishes blog for more information about the challenge.

    Butterflies_KSS_1_edited

    Hello and happy Monday everyone~

It is also time for Kitchen Sink Monday and I decided to combine a couple challenges to create today’s card.

The sketch was used from Sweet Stop Sketch 147 (SSS147) and I also used the color combination from CR84FN Color Challenge 49 (CR84FN49) .

I used 3 Step Butterflies for the butterflies, Big & Bold Swashes for the background design and 3 Step Daisy for the sentiment.

The butterflies were stamped as following these steps: 3rd – SU basic gray, 2nd – SU so saffron, and 1st – so saffron (1 x stamp off).

I used glossy white cardstock for the background. I stamped the circle designs with VersaMark and yellow ink (SU so saffron) and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I stamped the swash. with the kraft ink (SU crumb cake) and sponged the edge with the yellow ink. The sentiment panel was adhered on the center of the card and attached the butterflies to finish off.

    Happy Monday everyone~

It is time for another Kitchen Sink Monday !! Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and I just had to use this people’s favorite set, 3 Step Hearts & Roses :) It’s been a while I used the set last time but I fell in love it again! The great thing is the roses are not difficult to stamp at all even you just started stamping.

I used the sketch from Simple & Clean Stamping blog (FTL177) . The rose was stamped as following these steps: 4th – SU cherry cobbler, 3rd – SU melon mambo, 2nd – melon mambo (1x stamp off), and 1st – SU pink pirouette. The leaves were 3rd – SU always artichoke, 2nd – SU old olive, and 1st – SU pear  pizzazz. The heart on the bottom corner is also step stamping.  It was stamped as 3rd – cherry cobbler, 2nd – melon mambo, and 1st – melon mambo (1 x stamp off). I stamped “with” beside the heart for reading “with LOVE”. To finish off, I embellished the rhinestones.

I used one of my favorite sets from Flourishes, Friendly Reminders. I stamped the image with Memento tuxedo black and colored with Copic markers (mostly colored with Flesh Tones Collection 2, Fields Collection and Evergreen Collection). Then the image and sentiment mats were cut with Spellbinders dies and sponged with Distress Ink. The card was designed with MME designer papers and coordinated cardstock. To finish off, I tied the ribbon with the tea rose embellishments and dressed with the rhinestones.

The Copic Collections I mostly used.

    Dugs_&_Pigs_1-1_edited

    Happy Monday everyone~

Wow…what a game! I must say I am happy that Giants won Super Bowl because I love underdogs... but it was a great game over all! I also enjoy watching commercials too. Which one is your favorite? Mine have to be either M&M or Vampire party.

Anyway, I have a card for Kitchen Sink Monday here. I used Multi Step Ducks and Pigs set. The card was used the sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping (FTL176).

The pigs were stamped as following these steps: 2nd – SU groovy guava, 3rd – SU calypso coral (1 x stamp off), 4th – calypso coral, and 1st – SU blush blossoms. The mat was sponged with ink and the sentiment was stamped. I used two different borders and embellished with heart epoxy stickers (again,!) to finish off.
