CAS164 and TLC371

 

Hello there,

I played along a couple SCS challenges late evening! This one is for Clean & Simple Cards Challenge (CAS164) – Spotlighting. I have done Spotlighting technique before but never done with CAS style.

I used Just For Fun Stamps and stamped the tree image on the blue cardstock mat and it was dry embossed with Sizzix Textured Impressions Ornate Frames. The spotlighting was created with SB Nestabilities Circles and the bird was adhered on the circle mat with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment was stamped on the tag that was cut out with SB Ribbon Tags Trio die. To finish off, the ribbon was threaded and the white pearls were embellished.

The second card was used the technique from Technique Lover’s Challenge (TLC371) - Faux Pressed Flowers.

Just For Fun Stamps were also used for the card. The faux pressed flowers were created with Prima flowers and I layered the smaller flowers that were punched with the EK Success flower punch. The center of the flowers were embellished with brown pearls and added the glossy accent to secure the pearls. The bird was stamped, colored with Copic markers and adhered on the branch. The pink frame was created with Martha Stewart PATP swirling lace. The sentiment mat was cut out with SB fancy tags die and dressed with Candi metallic gems. To finish off, The pleated ribbon was embellished.

Weekend Quick Cards – Jun 26th

 

Hello everyone~

It’s almost Sunday here and I hope you are having a wonderful weekend :) I made 3 quick cards for the weekend with combining some CAS challenges. I hope you will like them :)

 

 

 

This card was created for CAS-tastic Wednesday Challenge 9 (CWC009) – create a CAS card using a BLUE, YELLOW and NEUTRAL. I knew this cute image from Unity Stamps March Kit of Month would work wonderfully for the color combo! I paper pieced the umbrella and colored the rest of the image with Copic markers.

The next card was used the sketch from SCS Clean & Simple challenge (CAS72). I was kind of inspired the color from the card too….so, I should claim it “casing” ;)

Again, I used the same Kit of Month from Unity Stamps and colored the gumball machine with Copic markers. The lid was stamped with riding hood red ink and adhered on the image. I used some scraps designer papers from my left over stash. The inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment that coordinated with the one on the card front. I love the cute sentiment :)

OK, this is the last one…for this card, I used the sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping (FTL96). The fern images from Verve Stamps were simply & randomly stamped on the white cardstock with rich razzleberry ink and sponged the edge with always artichoke ink. I embellished with scalloped edge ribbon and pearls to complete the card.

Weekend Quick Cards – Jun 19th

I made a couple quick cards for the weekend…this Weekend Quickie thingy is becoming my new stamping routine. I hope you like it…and thank you for taking your time to look at my work :)

 

The card above is submitted to Susan’s One-Layer Wednesday challenge (OLW9) – Use Flourish and SCS CAS challenge 71 (CAS71) – Things That Fly. All stamps were used from Unity Stamp Co. and the butterfly was colored with Copic markers. The blue background was just sponged inside of the rectangle that was masked with Post-It.

I used the sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping (FTL95) and also combined with CAS-tastic Wednesday challenge 8 (CWC008). The motorcycle from SU was colored with Copic markers. I matched the Harley-Davidson designer paper and embellishment. They were actually hand picked by my hubby when he went to Hobby Lobby a while ago :)  I think the sentiment “thank you DAD for being you” from Unity Stamp Co. is wonderful for the image, don’t you think?

Hello everyone~
This card was made for SCS Clean and Simple challenge 64 (CAS64). It was Miss Boo's birthday and she was challenging us to create "ORANGE" birthday cards! Sure, why not? Orange is the color that makes me happy & energetic all the time...I think it's perfect for Birthdays!!

Not much to explain...but I used the cup cakes image from Unity and colored it with Copic markers. I also used the cup cakes DP to match. Clean & Simple, plus yummy ;)

Lovely Shelf

Hello everyone~
I caught up a couple of SCS challenges today and made two cards using Gina K Lovely Shelf set.
When I got the set, I was surprised with its volume. It's like ordering a medium size of fries and you get a large size :):) and the fries are so tasty, lol. I just love Nina's design and style!

The card above was used the sketch from SCS Sketch challenge 263 (SC263). The images were colored with Copics and I cut each image and adhered on the designer paper. The rest of work was pretty simple...just follow the sketch :)


The next one is my take on SCS Clean & Simple challenge 49 (CAS49). The challenge is to Cut out any paper elements/designs to attach to a card. The rose with vase image was colored with Copics and cut it up. The heart image is Gina K Happy Hearts set...that I was very lucky I won the set during their Sneak Peak week :)

CAS23 -- Inspired by Zen Blossoms I

I've been looking through Art.com website. Boy, you can spend all day just browsing the beautiful arts!! It was today's SCS Clean & Simple challenge (CAS23). I found the poster by Kate Knight for the inspiration. All of her posters are right on my array and I became a fan of her art instantly!!

今日は、Art.comのサイトを見て楽しんでいました。素敵なアートをブラウズしているだけで、1日が直ぐに過ぎちゃいますね（笑）このサイトが、今日のSCSのクリーンアンドシンプルチャレンジ（CAS23）で、Kate Knightのポスターをインスピレーションに使うことにしました。彼女のポスター全部が、すごく私好みだったので、直ぐに彼女のアートのファンになっちゃいました!!



I used Bloom set from There She Goes. I stamped the cherry blossom image with brown ink and colored with Copics. Then I painted the images with VersaMark pen and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I added turquoise blue with a brayer & sponge and stamped the cherry blossom image with the same turquoise blue ink.

今回は、There She GoesからのBloomセットを使っています。桜を茶色のインクで捺した後、コピックで色を付け、その後ヴァーサマークペンで、イメージ全体を塗り、クリアエンボスパウダーを使って、ヒートエンボスしました。それから、ターコイズブルー色をブレイヤーとスポンジを使って全体にぼかし、同じターコイズブルーのインクを使って、桜のイメージを捺しています。

CAS22 & LSC228 -- Simple B-day card

Hello everyone~
This is a quick & simple card I made for SCS Clean & Simple challenge 22 (CAS22). The challenge was to make a simple birthday card. I also combined Limited Supplies challenge 228 (LSC228) - to crop an image, use the same image at least 3 times and brads & eyelets were the only embellishments to use. The brads & eyelets part made me go to make a Clean & Simple card, lol.

I used 3 different sets, Flowers of Happiness, Cupcake mix & match and Holidays Galore from There She Goes. The flowers were stamped 3 different cardstocks, cut out and adhered with the dimensional adhesives after the brads were attached to the center of the flowers.

SCSのクリーン＆シンプルチャレンジ22(CAS22)で、作った簡単カードです。チャレンジは、バースデーカードを作るでした。これに併せて、リミットサプライチャレンジ228(LSC228)－イメージを切り取り、同じイメージを最低3回使い、ブラッドとアイレットのみエンベリッシュメントとして使う チャレンジも取り入れました。ブラッドとアイレットの部分で、CASカードを作ること決定(笑）

今回のカードでは、There She Goesからの3つのセット、Flowers of Happiness, Cupcake mix & matchとHolidays Galoreを使っています。花のイメージを、3種類のカードストックに捺し、切り取って、ブラッドを付けてから、フォームステッカーを使って貼りました。

CAS20 -- Paper Piecing Angel

I was ready to stamp today but ended up late starting...
I managed to make this card for SCS Clean & Simple challenge 20 (CAS20) -- paper piecing.
I unfortunately have to make a sympathy card to my friend and her family.

今日は、張り切ってスタンプをするつもりでしたが、結局遅いスタートになりました。。。
それでも、何とかSCSのクリーンアンドシンプルチャレンジ20(CAS20)--「ペーパーピース」には、チャレンジしています。
悲しいですが、私の友達と彼女の家族へのお悔やみカードを作りました。


The stamp set is called Angelic Moments from H&M Stamps and it is my daughter and my favorite set from HMS I used PTI designer papers for the background and the paper piecing. I kept in mind that this is CAS card...so I just added the silver pearls for the embellishment. Choosing what I use is the hardest thing when I make CAS cards, lol.

スタンプセットは、H&M StampsからのAngelic Momentsです。このセットは、HSMの中で、私の娘と私が一番気に入っているデザインです。バックグランドとペーパーピースには、PTIからのデザイナーペーパーを使いました。これは、CASカードだということを頭に入れながら作ったので、エンベリも抑えて銀のパールのみにしました。CASカードを作るのに、素材選びが一番大変です(笑）

CAS19 & (not quite) CC223

Hello everyone~
How about Stampin' Up! only card?
I made a clean & simple card with using the sketch from SCS Clean & Simpe challenge 19 (CAS19). I thought SCS Color Combination 223 (CC223) was baja breeze, ROSE RED and white!! It was actually baja breeze, RUBY RED and white.....My teachers used to say when I was a kid, "Read the direction twice before starting your project ":P The good thing is they are still pretty colors, lol.

I stamped the sentiment first and masked a square mat over it. Then I stamped the background images with using rock and roll techinique. To emphasize the sentiment, I pierced around the square masking mat.

今回は、Stampin' Up! オンリーのカードです。
SCSのクリーン＆シンプルチャレンジ19 (CAS19)のスケッチを使って作っています。SCSのカラーコンビネーションチャレンジ223 (CC223) の色も取り入れたつもりでしたが、勘違いをして違うトーンの赤色を使っています。昔、先生によく言ってましたね～｢はじめる前に、説明を2度読みなさい」と。。。：P　唯一救われた事は、この色も綺麗な色合いだったことです。

言葉をはじめに捺し、その上に四角のマットをかぶせました。それから、バックグランドのイメージをロックアンドロールテクニックを使って捺しました。言葉を目立たせる為に、マスキングした四角の周りにピアシングしています。

Roses for Friends

This card was made about a week ago but I completely forgot to upload here (it was on my SCS gallery so I thought I already wrote about it here, too....)

I entered 2 challenges with this card -- SCS Clean and Simple challenge 14 (CAS14) and Color Combination challenge 218 (CC218).

このカードは、約1週間前に作ったんですが、こちらにアップするのをすっかりわすれてました＾＾”（SCSのマイギャラリーにはアップしたので、ここにも更新したと思いこんでいました。。。）

このカードは2つのチャレンジ、SCSのクリーンアンドシンプルチャレンジ14（CAS14)とカラーコンビネーションチャレンジ218 (CC218)にエントリーしました。

I used rock & roll technique, which was the suggested challenge for CAS14, on the leaves and roses. After I stamped the roses, I dabbed only orange ink on the middle of the images with sponge dauber and I traced the outline with white gel pen. I also scored the 4 sides of the card base.

CAS14で示されたロックアンドロールのテクニックは、私の大好きなテクニックの１つで、葉とバラに使っています。バラをスタンプした後、オレンジのインクとダウバーを使って、真ん中の部分だけ色をぼかしまし、白のジェルペンで、アウトラインをなぞりました。最後に、カードベースの4隅に線をつけました。

Catching up SCS challenges

Hello everyone~
I'm trying to catch up SCS challenges I've missed. I wish I had 6 extra hours everyday, lol.

The card above was used the sketch from SCS Sketch challenge 227 (SC227) and combined SCS Way to Use it challenge 217 (WT217), Kool Kraft. I love kraft but I often forget to use it. The color combo like this is really the out side of box for me but I kinda like how it was turned out :)
The set I used is called She's A Lady from There She Goes.
I colored the lady with Copics. The high heel was stamped with black & VersaMark and heat embossed with black embossing powder. I also added lavender Stickles on the roses.

今回は、最近見逃したSCSのチャレンジを使って、カードを作りました。1日があと6時間ほど増えてく欲しいところです。。。（笑）

上のカードは、SCSのスケッチチャレンジ227（SC227)のスケッチを使い、Way to Use itチャレンジ217（WT217)、「クールクラフト」のチャレンジを取り入れました。クラフト色は大好きですが、使うことを忘れてしまう色です。この色のコンボも、私にとっては意外な色の組み合わせでしたが、結構気に入りました。

女性は、コピックで色を付けました。ハイヒールは、黒とバーサマークのインクで捺してから、黒のエンボスパウダーを使ってヒートエンボスしています。最後にバラの部分だけ、ラベンダー色のSticklesを付けました。

The next one was used the sketch from SCS Clean and Simple challenge 13 (CAS13). It was also combined with SCS Limited Supplies challenge 219 (LSC219). The challenge was to make a project that reflects or represents any May celebration.
May 6th is "International No Diet Day" and I decided to make a card that was all SWEETS!!
Here is the detail about the celebration if you are interested :)

All stamps are from There She Goes. I used Cupcake mix & match for the most of cupcakes and the sentiment. The little circle image is from A-Z and 123, and the little cupcake is from Tweeterpated. All images were colored with Copics and I added Stickles and Glossy accents on the cakes for the little extra shine :)

次のカードは、SCSのクリーン＆シンプルチャレンジ13 (CAS13)のスケッチを使い、リミットサプライチャレンジ219 (LSC219)も取り入れています。チャレンジは、「5月中にある祝日にまつわる、又は表現している作品を作る」でした。
毎年5月6日は「ダイエットをしない日（International No Diet Day)」という祝日だということを知ったので、スイーツ満載のカードを作ることにしました（笑）

スタンプは全てThere She Goesからです。殆どのカップケーキは、Cupcake mix & matchのセットを使っています。小さなサークルのイメージは、A-Z and 123から、小さいカップケーキは、Tweeterpatedからのスタンプを使いました。イメージは全て、コピックで色を付け、Sticklesとグロッシーアクセントを使って、光沢を少し付けています。

CC212 and CAS08

Today is April Fool's day here....but I don't have any fools for you. Sorry! But I have a card to show you instead.

Today is also the day TSG's new sets are available in the store!! Yay! Here is the TSG store link. Hope you get what you're craving for, lol.
I used Taste Like Chicken set for the card above and also combined 2 challenges, SCS Color Combination challenge 212 (CC212 pink, brown, red) and Clean and Simple challenge 8 (CAS08 sketch inspired by StampGroover's card).

I paper pieced the sofa with Bella Rose dp and colored the shadows (or stain, lol) with Copics. The sentiment is actually straight but I mounted roundly when I stamped it. It's one of the great things about acrylic stamps :)

こちらは、今日がエープリルフールの日でした。まあ、私からは騙すことは何もありませんが。。。その代わり、カードをアップしておきました（笑）

あと、今日はTSGの新しいセットの発売日です!! こちらがＴＳＧストアのリンクです。今回も、何か気に入ったセットが見つかったら嬉しいです。
今回のカードは、Tastes Like Chickenのセットを使い、SCSの2つのチャレンジ、カラーコンビネーションチャレンジ212（CC212 ピンク、茶、赤)とクリーンアンドシンプルチャレンジ8（CAS08 StampGrooverさんのカードからのスケッチインスピレーション)を取り入れてみました。
ソファーは、SUからのデザイナーペーパーで、ペーパーピースし、影（それか染み＾＾）の部分は、コピックを使っています。言葉は、本当は真っ直ぐなんですが、スタンプをする時に、カーブをつけてマウントしてみました。アクリルスタンプだからできる技ですね：）

FS109 & CAS05

Hello everyone~
I hope your Monday started wonderfully. Unfortunately I'm a little sleepy....The time changing messes me up everytime. It's only 1 hour but I still have a hard time to get to used it :)

Yesterday was Featured Stamper challenge over SCS (FS109). It was Judy (StampinQueenJAR)!! I love her colorful and cheerful gallery. Just watching her work makes me so happy, plus I love that she uses House Mouse stamps for some of her cards :)
I decided to case this cute bunny card: WT199 Great Love.

良い月曜日を迎えられたでしょうか?残念ながら、私は少し眠たい月曜日を迎えました。時間が夏時間に変わったことに、体が慣れません。。。１時間だけの違いなのに、慣れるのにかなり辛いです。年かな～。

昨日のSCSチャレンジは、フィーチャースタンパー(FS109)でした。スタンパーは、Judyさん（StampinQueenJAR)でした。彼女のカラフルで明るいギャラリーがとても大好きです。素敵な作品の数々を見ているだけで、ハッピーな気分になります。それに、いくつかの作品に、House Mouseスタンプを使っているのも注目です。
今回は、彼女のウサギのカードをケースすることにしました：　WT199 Great Love


I changed the colors and used the different bunny stamp. I tweaked the layout some because of the size of the image but I kept the same elements like the scalloped edges and sentiment layers and the numbers of the embellishments.
My bunny image was stamped when I stamped with my friends last week. I colored with Prismacolor pencils & gamsol. I also added Twinkling H2Os for shading. The dew drops were also gifted from my friend. (Are you proud of me, smallcity? lol)

変えたところといえば、全体の色と、違うウサギのスタンプを使ったところ。レイアウトもイメージのサイズに合わせて、少し変えています。あとは、スカロップのボーダーや、言葉のレイヤー、エンベリッシュメントの数などの部分は、同じにしました。
私のウサギのイメージは、先週友達と一緒にスタンプをした時に捺したもので、プリズマカラーとモルツベンで色を付けました。影にTwinking H2Osを少し使っています。デュードロップは、友達からのギフトです。（smallcityさん、気に入っていただけましたか～笑）

The next card was for SU CAS (Clean & Simple) challenge 5 (CAS05). It was the color challenge with using the shades of blue and green.
I used my neglected set, Text Boxed for the main image. I love using Papertrey Ink stamps when I make CAS cards and this image is no exception. It was so refreshing and I think I fell in love with the set again!

次のカードは、SCSのCAS（クリーンアンドシンプル）チャレンジ５（CAS05)での作品です。今回は、青と緑を使って作品を作るカラーチャレンジでした。
全然使われていないセット、Text Boxedをメインに使っています。私がCASのカードを作る時は、結構Papertrey Inkのスタンプを好んで使っていて、このイメージも例外ではありません。それに、久しぶりに使ったことで、リフレッシュされた所為か、またこのセットを改めて好きになった気がします。

Paper: aqua mist, white cardstock, Everyday Blessings DP (PTI)

Ink: spring moss (PTI), basic gray (SU)

Accessories: Prima flowers, dew drop
