KS Monday–God’s Miracle

Little_Lamb_KSS_1-1_edited

Hello and happy Monday everyone~

I hope Spring Forward is not affect your life so much. I have had a little hard time to get up but other than that, it’s been all good! My kids are also in Spring Break so I have a plenty time to adjust ;)

Little_Lamb_KSS_1-2_edited

I made this card for Kitchen Sink Monday! I used Multi Step Little Lambs set. I found the fun sketch at iSpy Sketches Blog (ISS06) and I decided to use up some left-over designer papers from my stash.

The lamb was stamped as following these steps: 4th – SU early espresso, 3rd – SU soft suede (1 x stamp off), 2nd – SU crumb cake, and 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).

After designing the all circle pieces, I added the dots with the liquid pearls. To finish off, I added the pearls next to the sentiment.

This card is also submitted to Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C127).

FTTC132- Focus on Sentiments

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~

I am happy to tell you that my kids had a great first day of school yesterday! I went back to my taxi mom job again too :) As much as I love the lazy days of summer, I also love these busy school schedule too!

I made one card for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC132) . Cindy is challenging us to use a sentiment(s) as a focal point of your creation! Please visit Flourishes Blog for more information about the challenge. Can’t wait to see your creation!

I decided to use Bee My Honey for today’s card. To try not to make the image for the focal point, I stamped it with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I lightly colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was stamped on the lacey circle panel and I sponged with ink. The sentiment panel was mounted on the yellow fancy tag panel. and embellished with linen ribbon. I hope the way I designed the card will bring your eyes to the sentiment more than the image :)

This card is also submitted to CR84FN Color Challenge 36 (CR84FN36) and Crazy 4 Challenges 101 (C4C101) - I did the row of Embossing, Die Cuts and Ribbon.

The leaves were 3rd – Memento cottage ivy, 2nd – Memento bamboo leaves, 1st – Memento new sprout. The sentiment is from 3 Step Daisy. FTTC121–Father’s Day Card

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC121). Silke is challenging us to create a card/project for Father’s Day!! You can visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your card/project!

SONY DSC

Even though I made Father’s Day card for the last week’s challenge, it was still fun to make some more masculine card…which I have only few chances to do it since I’m more flower/girly/whimsy kind of girl :) I used What A Catch for the main image and the sentiment and Kids Play for the silhouette on the background. The inspiration was come from Crazy 4 Challenges 90 (C4C90).

I used the glossy cardstock for the background and colored it using the alcohol ink applicator. Instead of using alcohol ink, I dubbed the dye ink re-inkers on the felt applicator, then spray alcohol on the inked applicator and swished through the glossy mat. After the ink was dried well, I sponged the edge with Memento tuxedo black and stamped the image. The black edge was free-hand drawn with Copic marker 110 (I used the chisel tip).

The fish image was colored with Copic markers (Fields, Creamy, Robin’s egg, Spruce, Warm neutrals Collections) and the mat was sponged with light blue and light peach ink.

To finish off the card, I paper pierced the edge of the background mat and added silver pearls on the thin black strips.

If you have some KSS Stamps & love to play some challenges with us, you can visit HERE to check our daily challenges. We always welcome your ideas & suggestions as well ;)

SONY DSC

The first card is definitely outside of my comfort zone…but I was in CAS mood for the last couple days (that means you are going to see some CAS style cards in my blog this week). I played with 10 Minutes Card challenge 19 (10MC19) using Multi Step A Cup of Warm Comfort set. To tell the truth, it tool more than 10 minutes to create this because I messed up while stamping the image and I had to recreate the main mat :P

The hot chocolate was stamped with the following steps: 4th – SU Early Espresso, 3rd – SU chocolate chip (1 x stamp off), 2nd – SU crumb cake (1 x stamp off), repeat 2nd step, 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).  The chocolate chip cookies were stamped with 3rd – early espresso, 2nd – crumb cake, 1st – crumb cake (1 x stamp off).

I also have submitted this card to Crazy 4 Challenges 87 (C4C87) -Have some image related to ‘chocolate’ on your card/project.

SONY DSC

The next card was used the sketch from Friday Sketch Carte Challenge 19 (FSCC19) . All images and sentiment are from 3 Step Hey Chick! set. The color combo was inspired by CR84FN Color Challenge 28 (CR84FN28) . Some of the DT’s cards totally inspired me to use these baby chicks :)

The chicks were stamped with the following steps: 4th – SU chocolate chip, 3rd – SU more mustard, 2nd – SU daffodil delight, 1st – daffodil delight (1 x stamp off).

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC116) .  It’s my turn to be a challenge host and I’m challenging you to *create a card/project for a child*!! I know most of people are not familiar about the Japanese holidays but May 5th is “Children’s Day” in Japan and they even have a day-off for that day!  So, I’d like you to focus on your creativity outlet for young people (13 and under…for my opinion)! If you have child images, use them with a cute and fun style! Please visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your card/project!

SONY DSC

For my card, I used Enjoy the Ride for the carousel horse image and Birthday Pennants for the saying. The image was colored with Copic markers and adhered on the clouds scallop oval mat (that was sponged with Memento summer sky, using the big scallop mat as a template). The saying was cut out with Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennants. After designing the card with the 3 different designer papers, the card was embellished with the flowers with button and rhinestone and ric-rac ribbon.

I have submitted the card to Sweet Stop Sketch 106 (SSS106) and Crazy 4 Challenges 85 (C4C85) .

I used Multi Step Owl & Autumn Moon for the moon and Friends of the Moon for the rest of the images. The more I use them, the more I heart them!! The saying was used two different sets, Multi Step Lil’ Elephant and 3 Step Baseball. The colors are inspired from the DCVW papers that were used here. I have a card for each of the new sets today :):)

 SONY DSC

The first card was used Multi Step Ivy set. I used the tea rose embellishments and gold pearls to create the focal design but it’s also so fun for mixing and matching with other KSS sets too! The greeting was created with Simple Sentiments.

I used the sketch (FTL107) from Clean & Simple Stamping.

These are the steps I did for each image (all inks are from Memento):
(Ivy) 1st – new sprout , 2nd – bamboo leaves, 3rd – cottage ivy (1 x stamp off), repeat the 3rd step, 4th – cottage ivy

For the background ivy, I used the same ink for each step but stamped off once before stamping. Also no repeat the 3rd step. Can you see the background ivy is more subtle than focal one?

SONY DSC

The next card was created with Multi Step Lil’ Elephant set. Isn’t that elephant beautiful and cute at same time??  I combined SCS Sketch challenge 297 (SC297) and Crazy 4 Challenges (C4C54).

These are the steps I did for each image (all inks are from Memento unless it mentioned):
(Elephant) 2nd – london fog, 3rd – SU basic gray, 4th – tuxedo black, 1st – london fog (1 x stamp off), repeat 1st step

The last card was used Multi Step Ribbons with a Cause set. I’m soooo excited with the stamps…I have no doubt this set is going to be “Must-Have” set for many stampers & card makers!! You can change the ribbon colors for the different good cause and show your support :)

With the purchase of every Multi Step Ribbons with a Cause set, 15% of the proceeds will be donated to a different noteworthy charity every month. For more information about "Ribbons with a Cause Giving Back" program, please go HERE.

Since the Breast Cancer Awareness month is coming next month, I created the pink ribbon card. I used the sketch from Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge (TESC127). The words on the background were stamped from the same set and Vintage Words set.

These are the steps I did for each image:
(Ribbon) 1st – SU pink pirouette, 2nd – SU pretty in pink, 3rd – SU regal rose

C4C43 & ACT36 – How’s it Rolling?

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Friday!!

It’s going to be a quick post because I’m heading out to Mississippi where Troy is working tomorrow morning and I need to pack!! He will come home one day next week, but my kids and I miss him so much….so, we decided to drive up there and spend a holiday weekend with him. Plus, his RV (he is one of those guys who lives in RV while he is at job sites so that he can save money….more stamping supplies for me, lol) is parking at Yogi Bear’s Camp Resorts, so my kids are going to have a lot of fun for sure :):)

This card was submitted to Crazy 4 Challenges 43 (C4C43) – sketch challenge and Curtain Call Color Challenge (ACT36). The color combo was wonderful for the 4th of July theme and I wanted to use for something fun! The image and sentiment (I love it!!) are both from Unity Stamps and colored with Copic markers.

Stamps: Ferris wheel, sentiment - KOM set (Unity Stamp Co.)
Paper: classic white (Flourishes), night of navy, real red, real red dp (SU), kraft, snow white (PTI)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko) Copic markers
Accessories: twine, button

Tools: photo corner punch, word window punch

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful and safe weekend!! Come back here for Monday to see the Kitchen Sink Monday post :)

Think_Pink_1-1_edited

Hello everyone~

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC70)! Dee Jackson is our challenge host this week. Dee is challenging us to a color combo. We are to use black and white with a third color of choice. So, black, white, plus ONE! Have fun with it and we look forward to seeing what you create!

For the challenge, I used passion pink for the third color of choice.

I stamped the heart ribbon image and sentiments from Think Pink set on the classic white cardstock and created the background design. I attached the scallop ribbon and Tsumami Kanzashi flower on the polka dots designer paper.

This card is also submitted to Crazy 4 Challenge 40 (C4C40) – Create Pleats for a card/project.

Be sure to check out other FOF’s creations!
