Flourishes Friday - The Six for Six

BirthdayCelebration-5

Happy Friday everyone!

Today the entire Flourishes Design Team is jumping on the birthday band wagon and helping Flourishes light the candles and roll the music to celebrate SIX fun-filled, creative years! Today's challenge is all about the right recipe for your cards. So, all you need to do is check out our recipe card below and make sure you use all six items. We're calling this challenge -- The SIX for SIX -- six items for six years! So, without further ado -- the recipe!
  7-26Graphic

and here is what I came up with using the recipe :-)

I used my very favorite stamp set, Butterflies & Blossoms. The images were colored with Copic markers as usual. The card was designed with Classic White cardstock, CME Pistachio cardstock, Tiger Lily cardstock and TC Summer Stories paper pad. The lace trim was adhered on the edge of the image mat and the card was embellished with CME Pitachio/Moss Green ribbon and brown rhinestones.

The rest of supplies: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Pistachio, Peanut Brittle, embossing folder, Spellbinders die, decorative edger

HOW TO PLAY: Like we said, simply use the six items as your recipe for your card or creation. Make sure to use the sketch and be inspired by the colors in the inspiration photo and then, use the other four items as well when you create. This Birthday Celebration Challenge is just that simple!

When you are done with your card, don't forget to link up your creation to Flourishes blog using the Inlinkz widget! For Birthday Celebration Challenge #5, enter as many times as you like. If you upload to Splitcoaststampers, use the keyword FLLCBC5.

You have until 11:59 PM CST on July 31st to enter! Winners will be announced at Flourishes Blog on Saturday, August 3rd and winners will receive a goody bag from Flourishes valued at $30! There’s a whole bunch of fun scheduled for Flourishes 6th Birthday — if you want a peek at all the challenges, just click HERE to see!

Now just as I said, all of our fine and fabulous Flourishes designers are playing along in this one, so be sure to hop on over and see what these ladies have in store!

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Flourishes 6th Birthday Celebration Challenge 3 - Christmas in July

I have one card to show you today. I actually made this card for Flourishes 6th Birthday Celebration Challenge 3 (FLLCBC3) before I went off vacation last week but I never had a time to upload here till now:( I finally have computer time to catch up, lol.

I used the image from Poinsettia and Pine set. It was colored with Copic markers and adhered on the mat that was die cut with Tailor-Made Bookplate die. The rest of the card was designed with CME Poppy cardstock, Pistachio cardstock and MME designer paper pad. You see I used the part of the designer paper as a sentiment ;) To finish off, I tied CME Poppy/Basque Red ribbon with button & jute twine and added the rhinestones.

The rest of supplies: Classic White cardstock, decorative edger

Thank you for stopping by.

Timeless-Tuesday-New-Logo

We are also teaming up with Friends of Flourishes Team for this week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC228)!!
Deborah is your hostess this week and she is challenging to use Acetate anywhere in your project or card . That's right, it's time to dust off those clear pieces of "paper" and create something fun and unique!

Here is my card using Dahlias set...

As you see, I used my acetate sheet for the scalloped lace square layer and the eyelet border. I hardly use the acetate sheets but they give the interesting look and texture to the creations. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored the dahlias with Copic markers and fuss cut around the image to place on the corner of the sentiment mat. The rest of the card was designed with Classic White cardstock, Classic Black cardstock, CME Candy Pink cardstock and Carta Bella So Noted paper pad. To finish off, I embellished with dark rose pearls.

AND...here's one way to win this gorgeous new stamp set for your collection...

One of the designer from both of our Flourishes Finest Design Team AND Friends of Flourishes Team is today's Mystery Blogger!
