FTTC111–Use Those Stamps!

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

It’s time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC111). Betty Wright is the challenge host and she is challenging us to use some of the other stamps in the stamp sets…I’m sure you have those stamps in the set that are not used often or never! Let’s bring them back to your table for this wonderful challenge!! Please visit Flourishes blog for more detail about how to play. Can’t wait to see your card/project!

Well, it was a little tough challenge for me…because to tell the truth, I have many of those stamps I should use more often :P However, I have been thinking about making this card for a while in the deep of my heart and I think I finally had a chance to make it :) As you see, the card is for my friend in Japan who live in the area where the huge earthquake hit. Thank goodness, she and her family are safe and trying to rebuild their life.

I used the fish, water wave & saying from Water Lilies set. They are definitely needed to be inked again! I colored the image with Copic markers and stamped the saying “Peace with You” on the red circle piece. Then it was heat embossed with white EP. I used the Japanese designer paper and the white background was stamped with the silhouette cherry blossom image from Cherry Blossoms set.  To finish off, the card was dressed with white satin ribbon & red pearls to finish off.

The sketch was based on Sweet Shop Sketch 101 (SSS101). I also submit this card to Use It Tuesday Challenge #4 (USE004)Use color red … I used the Japanese designer paper I was hoarding too long and red tiny pearls that were actually last 4 left in my stash!

It’s time for Curtain Call Color Challenge {ACT66}!!

Sweet and lovely colors…would be wonderful for Valentine’s Day card, don’t you think?

Please visit Stacey’s Stamping Stage for more detail about this week’s challenge.

Here is my card.

SONY DSC

You can tell I was totally inspired the mitten image, hehe. I used ginaK’s Warm & Wonderful set. I bought this set when it was available and totally missed the opportunity to ink them :P So, I’m so glad I finally get around to play this sweet set with those colors! I also used the StampTV Sketch Spotlight Challenge (STVSKSP9).

SketchSpotlightSTVSKSP9

SONY DSC

I colored the images with Copic markers. Can you see the little texture I did to make the image look more fuzzy? After I finished coloring, I dabbed tiny dots with the same Copic colors. Then I colored with colorless blender over the dots to look more blending to the original colors.

FTTC62 -- Shake Things Up!!

Hello everyone~
It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge(FTTC62)! This week Dee Jackson is our challenge host! Dee is shaking things up a bit! Or, better yet, she is challenging us to shake things up! We are making shaker cards. Now, you can have a big shake or a little shake. You decide if your shaker is the focal point or the accent! We would love to see what you create! So, go get busy and "shake it" with us this week! Here is a wonderful shaker card tutorial at SCS by Beate Johns to get you going!

I don't even remember when I made the shaker card for the last time...but I remember I used beads for the shakers, so I again used the beads and created this birthday shaker card. I used the beautiful set, Let Them Eat Cakes for the birthday cake and Sweet Violet set for the greeting. The frame for the shaker box was created with Label 11 Netabilities and classic rectangle Nestabilities. Then I dry embossed the frame with CB embossing folder. To finish, I embellished the card with pearls and polka dot satin ribbon.

I used the color combination from the Embellish Magazine color challenge (red, black, white and kraft). The challenge also requires to create a project that includes party-themed projects. So, in addition with the card, I decorated the candle...candles are "Must-Have" items for any parties, don't you think? Or they are also wonderful gifts to give or receive ;)

Now, check out what the rest of FOF have created for the challenge!!

Stamps: Let Them Eat Cakes, Sweet Violet (Flourishes)
Paper: classic white (Flourishes), kraft, designer paper (PTI), black cardstock, acetate sheets
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), riding hood red (SU)
Accessories: ribbon, pearls, beads
Tools: Label 11 and classic rectangle Nestabilities, CB embossing folder, border punch

Thank you for stopping by.

FLLCAPR10, StampinB -- Missing You

Hello everyone~
It's actually in the middle of night here but I decided to stay awake and post this card before going to bed :)
Flourishes April Release is coming soon and they've challenged us to create a card/project with twinches (2"by 2" segment) as the focal point (FLLCAPR10).

I picked Birds in Vines set to create the twinches mat. The decorated corners were created with Fleur De Lis Pendants die. The bird images were simply attached with dimensional adhesives. To embellish the card, I used the paper flowers from Prima and the satin ribbon. I'm so proud of me using those Prima flowers instead of hoarding, lol. The white background mat was dry embossed with CB embossing folder.

This card is also combined with Stamp B's challenge #53 (StampB) - using the color combo of turquoise, green and white.

Stamps: Birds in Vines, Taglines (Flourishes)
Paper: tempting turquoise (SU), classic whtie (Flourishes)
Ink:
Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), tempting turquoise (SU), Copic markers
Accessaries: ribbon, Prima flowers

Tools
: square Nestabilities, Fleur De Lis Pendants, CB embossing folder, oval punch

Better Late Than NEVER

Hello everyone~
My belated birthday cards are out and I needed to make some more, lol. I seriously need to keep dates like birthdays in the one book!

I used the sketch from Taylored Expressions Cupcake challenge #67 (TECC67). The stamps are Slow & Steady and Cupcake mix & match from There She Goes. The all images were colored with Copics. Can you see the snail are pulling the cupcake??
I stamped the sentiment "Happy belated Birthday" on the inside of the card.

スタンプは、There She GoesからのSlow & SteadyCupcake mix & matchを使いました。

House Mouse Monday Challenge #36

Hello everyone~
My friend, Joann led me use this beautiful House Mouse stamp 2 days ago when she came to stamp with me. I've colored HM stamps with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol many times, but this time I got out my comfort zone and decided to color with Copics! I was a little nervous about the result because I didn't think I had enough colors to color the image.... well, I think it turned out great for the frist attempt :)
I made the gatefold card to enter House Mouse Monday Challenge #36.
The sentiment was used from Friendship Flowers by There She Goes.

Stamps: Everything is Coming Up (House Mouse Designs)
Paper: always artichoke, basic black, regal rose dp (SU), white cardstock (GP)

OCCC & Copic Creations Challenge #3

Hello everyone~
I just found the new challenge site, "Copic Creations" and I, as a challenge & Copic lover, couldn't resist to participate this fun bi-weekly challenge :)

Copic Creations challenge No. 3 is featuring Puple Flowers/Lilacs. No problems! I love to color any flowers and purple is such a beatiful color to work with.
Since Our Creative Corner challenge (OCCC) is to make a mother's day card or project, I combined the challenge and made a mother's day card for my dear mother in law. I know she always check my blog (Hi Mom!) and this post will be spoiled the surprise, lol.

The images were stamped on the cream oval mat and stamped again on the cream scrap. After I colored the images on the scrap, I cut and adhered them on the images of the oval mat. To the extra dimensions, I added a little Twinkling H2Os and Glossy accents on the image.
I also decorated the inside to match the outside.
The images were from Flourishes and the sentiments were from Kitchen Sink Stamps.

Stamps: I Love Roses (Flourishes), sentiment - Whole Family, Other Important People (Kithcen Sink Stamps)
Paper: mellow moss, perfect plum, retied SU dps (SU), vintage cream (PTI)

Verve April Release Week Challenge - part 2

Hello everyone~
I can't believe it's already Saturday!! I didn't come back soon for this post but I didn't forget to uploading 2 more cards for Verve's challenge, lol. The new releases are looked fabulous! I can't wait to get them!

OK, there are the cards I made for the rest of the challenges. The first 2 cards are on the previous post here.

This card was used the sketch from VSAPR3. I just had to use my favorite set from Verve :)
The butterfly was colored with Copics and layered it over the same image. I thought about using the patterned paper but I couldn't find the ones I wanted to use. So, I stamped the little butterfly images on the purple cardstock to make the own patterned paper. I also embossed the white cardstock to give more textures.

Stamps: Beautiful Kindness (Verve Stamps)
Paper: lavender lace, basic black (SU), white cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon (SU), flowers (Prima), brads (JoAnn's) rhinestones

Tools: CB embossing folders, Nestabilities

The next card was used the color combo from VSAPR4. I love the soft subtle colors Julie picked. I also combined SCS Way to Use It challenge 214 (WT214). The challenge was to use a frame(s). I decided to give another try for the ribbon frame that was introduced over Technique Lover's challenge. This is the one I tried before.

The set I used is called Cupcake mix & match from There She Goes. I colored the cake with Copics and layered on the embossed panel. I'm very satisfied how it turned out.

それから、SCSのWay to Use Itチャレンジ214(WT214)も取り入れています。

Stamps: Cupcake mix & match (There She Goes)
Paper: close to cocoa, bashful blue, so saffron, Delicate Dots dp (SU), white cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento rich cocoa (Tsukineko), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon (SU), rhinestones

Tools: Eyelet border punch (SU), CB embossing folder, Nestabilities

Verve April Release Week Challenge

Hello everyone~
It's a nice day here in Texas. Not cold or hot... just right :) I had to enjoy this kind of weather before the steaming hot summer comes, lol.

Today's cards are for April 09 Release Week challenge from Verve Stamps. You can check the detail here. The sneak peeks are looked awesome! I can't wait to see the whole new sets :)

This card was used the sketch of VSAPR1. I also used SCS Color Combination 214 (CC214). It's very pretty colors and I got to use my neglected bordering blue, lol. I used the color not so long time ago and I mentioned I didn't like the shade of blue....you know what, I think I start likin' it :) I just needed a time to get used to use the color, lol.

Stamps: Petals & Stems, Flowers of Tomorrow (Verve Stamps)
Paper: pink pirouette, bordering blue, so saffron, Bella Birds dp (SU), vintage cream (PTI)
Ink: pink pirouette, bordering blue, so saffron (SU), Memento rich cocoa (Tsukineko)
Accessories: ribbon, brads (SU), pearls

Tools: Nestabilities, circle punch, word window punch, Sizzix texturz plates (SU), butterfly punch (MS)

The next one was used the sketch of VSAPR2. This card was combined the challenge from There She Goes color challenge (TSGCC01) by Holly over Papercraft Planet. I hope you can play with us :)
The stamp set is called Tastes Like Chicken from There She Goes. It's the funniest set ever, lol!!
This image is my favorite one from the set. It's a kind of funny but I wanted to embellish the image with beautiful motif, lol.

Stamps: Tastes Like Chicken (TSG)
Paper: apricot appeal, sahara sand, SU retired dp (SU), white cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black (Tsukineko), Copic markers
Accessories: ribbon (PTI), brads (Joann's)

Tools: decorative corner punch (EK Success), Nestabilities, piercing tool

Thank you for stopping by. I will come back for the rest of Verve's challenge later. See you then....

SDDC6

Hello everyone~
My kids are off from school for Spring Break. My stamping time is very limited right now but I just got the brand new sets from There She Goes that are going to be released next month!! I've been playing whenever I have an extra time although I cannot show you them yet (Sorry). For this post, I show you the card I made for a challenge over Stamper's Dream (SDDC6).

The challenge was to case a card that was made by the Stamper's Dream's designer. I wanted to case Denise (again!) and I decided to case this card with using Sarah Kay. After I finished the card, I realized Denise's card I cased was also cased from Laurie's card, lol. Oh well, they are both fabulous and couldn't be happier to case either or both of them! Thank you, Denise and Laurie for the great inspiration.

I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I also used Twinking H2Os for shading. I took the idea from Denise's card (and Laurie's) about over-hanging the image from the layer.

Stamps: Sarah Kay (Stampavie)
Paper: more mustard, bashful blue (SU), white cardstock (GP), Nana's Nursery baby boy dp (DCVW)
Ink: Palette noir black (Superior), Prismacolor pencils, Twinking H2Os
Accessories: ribbon (American Crafts), buttons (Making Memories)

Tools: Nestabilities, piercing tool, border punch (EK Success)

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day!

CC210 & SASSC6

Hello everyone~
I was MIA here for a couple days although I was stamping and creating.

This card was made for SCS Color Combination challenge 210 (CC210). The color combo was summer sun, riding hood red, kraft and basic black (optional). First I read the color combo, I hesitated a little bit because of 2 primary colors together. But I was so wrong!! After I made a card with the colors, I fell in love with the combo! As a matter of fact, I made 2 more cards with the colors, lol.
I also combined the sketch challenge from Stamps and Smiles (SASSC6).

I used the stamp set, called Angelic Moments from H&M Stamps. I paper pieced the dress and the rest of the image was colored with Copics. I added a little Stickles on the wings and the little hearts stickers for more accent.

Paper: summer sun, riding hood red, basic black, kraft dp, real red dp (SU), white cardstock (GP)

Accessories: K & Co. heart stickers, SU ribbon, Stickles

Tools: Nestabilities, CB embossing folder, SU oval punch

Playing with Sketches

Hello everyone~
It was a very busy day plus I had to watch American Idol tonight! After I tacked my kids in the bed, I finally sat down and am typing about the cards I made today.
I used There She Goes stamps and played with 2 sketches I was itching to play. Both sketches were really creative and I used many layers for both of them. They are definitely too heavy to mail with just one stamp, lol.

The sketch is from Stamps and Smiles Sketch challenge (SASSC5). The stamps I used were from the brand new set, Slow and Steady and the popular set, Special Delivery. I think the cupcakes on the shell added an extra humor for the card :) All the images were colored with Copic markers and the designer papers are the retired SU papers that I found in my stash. The ribbons were tied around the oval clips and I just placed them to the 2 corners.

Stamps: Slow and Steady, Special Delivery (TSG)
Paper: chocolate brown, rose red, old olive, SU Petals & Paisleys DP, (SU), white cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Palette noir black (Superior), Copic markers, brown marker
Accessories: SU ribbons, MM oval clips, CB embossing folder, SU oval punch

The sketch for this card is from Mojo Monday sketch 77 (Mojo77) and I also used SCS Color Combination challenge 209 (CC209). The beautiful stamps are Flowers of Happiness. The set makes me bring joy everytime I use :) All the image were colored with Copics and the flowers were layered a few times. Yes, it takes time to cut all the pieces but the result is worth it!

Verve March Release Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone~
I made this Easter card with Verve March release sketch challenge. Well... I couldn't enter before the deadline because my internet was down when I tried to upload it :( When the internet was back, it was already past 6:00 pm...It's also my fault, too. I shouldn't have made it in the last minutes. Oh well, I still upload the card here to show to you!
Thank you for the wonderful sketch, Julie.

I decided to use my new PTI stamp set, Tag For Spring. I love this set and I'm already feeling that I'm going to use it a lot. The colors were insired by these SU designer paper (retired), Spring Showers. Do you still remember them??? I have a pile of the scraps and I decided to clean them up. It's a spring cleaning in my house , and so is my stamp room, too!

Stamps: Tag for Spring (PTI)
Paper: blush blossom, chocolate chip, Spring Showers (SU), vintage cream (PTI)
Ink: chocolate chip, blush blossoms, barely banana (SU), spring moss (PTI)
Accessories: PTI ribbon, rhinestones, SU circle punches, Nestabilities, Fiskars border punch

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great week!

FS105 and PTI Challenge

Hello everyone~
It was the rainy Monday here in Texas, which was good because I had an excuse to stay in my studio instead of working outside, hehe.

I didn't have a time to stamp yesterday but I checked SCS Featured Stamper 105 (FS105) and I already chose the cards I wanted to case before I went to bed. The stamper was Karen (K Dunbrook). I was not familiar with her gallery until yesterday but I'm soooo glad I had a chance to see her beautiful work! I chose two cards because I couldn't choose just one, lol.

スタンパーは、Karen(K Dunbrook)さんでした。

The first card was cased the card, Petal Prints Sympathy. I changed the stamps, the embossing folder and the color combo. I also used the ribbon instead of the zig zag stitches and added the rhinestones on the flowers. I even used my neglected sewing machine, too :)I stamped the flower images from "Flowers of Happiness" by There She Goes and watercolored them with reinkers and watercolor brush. And I trimmed and mounted them on the card.

Stamps: Flowers of Happiness, Butterfly Happiness (TSG)
Paper: pale plum(SU), white cardstock (GP)
Ink: Palette noir black (Superior), perfect plum, pale plum, reinkers (SU)
Accessories: ribbon, rhinestones, Stickles, CB embossing folder, sewing machine and thread

The next card was cased the card, For your difficult time. I also made the card for PTI Friends 'Til the End challenge.
I changed a lot of things and added more embellishments but I kept the look and colors same.
I masked the square window and added the moss green color with the brayer. And I stamped the flowers, stems and circle sentiment with dark brown. After I layered the cardstock and designer paper, I sewed around the edge...... Gee...that zig zag stitches are disaster!! Oh well, it's one of kind card and I don't look behind, lol I attached the ribbon and the pebble on the circle sentiment. I finished it by staming the friendship sentiment along the bottom of the card base.

次のカードは、For your difficult timeをケースしました。

Stamps: Floral Frenzy (PTI)
Paper: white card base (Strathmore), spring moss, designer paper (PTI)white cardstock (GP)
Ink: spring moss, dark chocolate (PTI)
Accessories: ribbon, pebble, sewing machine and thread

That's it from me. Thank you for stopping by.
