DFF -- Etched Mirror

Happy Friday, everyone!
Today is my turn to show a Dollar Find Friday project over Jessica's blog, There She Goes.
Every Friday, one of the TSG DT girls shows their altered project with an item that costs $1.00 or less. All other DFF projects can be found here.

I found the simple oval mirror at Dollar Tree and I like it because it can be come off from the frame easily. I decided to alter it with using the glass etching cream. It's a fun and easy technique. I strongly recommend to read the instruction on the bottle before start your project(s) to prevent accident(s).

Here is the list of the supplies for etching:

-Glass etching cream (I used Armour Etch and you can find at the major craft stores)

-stamps (Flowers of Friendship)
-VersaMark
-Clear embossing powder
-foam brush

Optional:
-StazOn
-ribbon (not shown)
-strong adhesive
- rhinestones (not shown)


1. Deassemble the mirror and clean the surface. For optional, I rubbed the surface with Embossing Buddy to prevent the statics.

2. Stamp the images with VersaMark and sprinkle the clear embossing powder on the image. Heat the embossed image with the heat gun and wait until cool completely.

3. With using the etching cream and foam brush, cover the entire surface evenly. Wait about 5-10 minutes and just rinse off the cream with warm water. The heated emboss powder should peel off at the same time. That's it! Your embossed images appears as non etched images :)

You can also
-Stamp the images with StazOn with the etched surface.
-Decorate with rhinestones, ribbon or paper pieces.

今日は、There She Goesのデザインチームの一員、HollyさんがTSGガールズにブログホップチャレンジを出しました。実はですね~、今回、私にとっても初めてのブログホップなので、緊張もしているんですが、他の皆の作品を見るのもすごく楽しみで仕方ありません。間違えていませんように。。。
Jessicaさんのブログから来たなら、次は私の番なので大丈夫です。そうでない方は、ブログホップのスタート地点--これもJessicaさんのブログ(笑）から始めることをお勧めします。

The challenge is to make a card / project based on a famous quote with the assignment stamp set. My assignment set is "Let's Get Together", Yeah! I think I got an easy one , or I think so because I'm a big time coffee drinker? lol.
To find a quote, I went to Great-Quotes.com and seached with the word "Coffee". There are many quotes that related with "Coffee" but I found this Turkish Proverbs and I couldn't think anything else after that, lol.

チャレンジの内容は、有名な慣用句を基に、与えられたスタンプセットでカード又は作品を作るです。私が与えられたセットは、Let's Get Togetherでした。このチャレンジには、簡単なセットですね～。それとも、私が大のコーヒー好きだから、そう簡単に感じたのか?
慣用句を見つけるのに、Great-Quotes.comでCoffeeの単語を探索にかけ探しました。コーヒーに関する沢山の慣用句がある中、このターキーの諺を見つけました。これに即決(笑）


For the card, I used the designer papers from A2Z Essential and I paper pieced the coffee mug. I used the font, called 2Peas Gimme Coffee (seriously, another coffee related, lol) for the proverbs and printed out on the white cardstock. I found these cute buttons in the drawer that were perfectly worked with the color combos. I was so excited and happy with this point!
After all the pieces put together, I decorated the inside as well.

カードは、A2Z Essentialのデザイナーペーパーを使い、コーヒーカップは、ペーパーピースをしてあります。諺のフォントは、２Peas Gimmie Coffee （こちらもコーヒーに偶然ひっかかってますね＾＾）を使い、白のカードストックにプリントしました。引き出しから見つけたこの可愛いボタン、今回の色のコンビに見事に合っています。もうこの時点で、幸せ~な気分になりました(爆）
全てのピースを貼り付けた後、カードの中も合わせてデコレートしました。

CC206 & SC216

Hello everyone~
Wow! It's so warm this morning here in Texas. We are expecting to reach 80 degree for high! I probably have to run A/C today, lol.
I colored the image for CC206 last night but I was too tired to finish the card. Today's Sketch challenge (SC216) was already up over SCS, so I went ahead combining the challenges. The color combo is More Rosey Kiwis (more mustard, rose red and kiwi kiss) and the sketch was based on Kim (Blondie090277)'s awesome card.

ワォ!　ここテキサスは、とても暖かい朝を迎えました。最高気温２７度近くを予想しています！！今日は、エアコンを付けないと駄目かも(笑）
このイメージは、昨夜CC206用に作ったんですが、疲れてカードを完成できませんでした。もう既に、SCSのスケッチチャレンジ(SC216)がアップされていたので、両方のチャレンジを組み合わせることにしました。カラーコンビは、More Rosey Kiwis (more mustard, rose red, kiwi kiss - SUのカラーを抜粋）で、スケッチは、Kim (Blondie 090277)さんの素敵なカードを基にしたスケッチでした。

The both challenges are so different from what I usually thought in my mind. This is why I love the challneges! I am never tired of them and find something new all the time :)
I colored the image with SU reinker and Twinkling H2Os. I was in the mood of sewing my card because it was after I saw Kim's card and you know what?... I'm getting comfortable using my sewing machine now, Yay!!

両方のチャレンジは、私がいつも考えている事とは、とても違っていました。だから、私はチャレンジが好きなのこもしれません。いつも何か新しいことを見つられるので、飽きることがありませんね(笑）
イメージは、SUのインカーとTwinkling H2Osで色を付けました。Kimさんのカードを見た後だったので、どうしてもミシン縫いをカードにしたいムードに。。。段々と紙にミシン縫いをするのが慣れてきたと思います(嬉）

TSG ATC Swap

Did you have a great 3 days weekend?
I didn't make any cards today but I made these ATCs for There She Goes ATC Swap, hosted by KelliJo.

アメリカは３連休でした。
今日は、カードを作ることができませんでしたが、KelliJoさんがホストをしているThere She Goes ATC Swap用のATCを作りました。

I used Roses & Chocolate and Branching out for the sentiment. I colored the image with Copic markers and Twinkling H2Os. And I also paper pieced the vase. The color combo is from SCS CC challenge 205 - pink pirouette, perfect plum and kiwi kiss. When I made the card with the color combo, I knew I was going to use it again, lol.
I had a great time to make them. Now, I can't wait to see what the all participants make :)
These babies are going to be sent out to you, KelliJo from MakiJo, lol!

Roses & Chocolateのセットと、Branching Outのセットからの言葉を使い、イメージはコピックマーカーとTwinkling H2Osで色を付けました。あと、花瓶にはペーパーピースをしてあります。カラーコンボは、SCSのカラーコンビチャレンジ２０５ - pink pirouette, perfect plum, kiwi kiss (SUのカラー） を使いました。この色合いは結構気に入った色だったので、またいつか使うだろうなと、以前カードを作った時に思っていました。
とにかく、作っていて楽しかったです。ほかの参加者の方の作品も見るのが楽しみです。
KelliJoさんへMakiJoから、この生まれたての赤ちゃん達を送りますね~(笑）海外の交換は、日本国内と違って、作ったら送る前にアップするのが、基本らしいです。知らなかった~!!

FS106

Hello everyone~
I hope you had a great Sunday! This card was made for SCS Featured Stamper 106 (FS106). The featured stamper was Julie (JulieMLacey)!!! I was soooo excited as soon as I saw her name on the challenge detail! Not only she is Guest DT for There She Goes right now, I'm fond of her clean style. Clean doesn't mean simple. She uses a lot of layers, too. That's what I also love about.

良い日曜日を過ごしましたか？このカードは、SCSのフィーチャースタンパー１０６（FS106)で作ったものです。今回のフィーチャースタンパーは、Julie (JulieMLacey)さんでした。詳細の中で彼女の名前を見つけた時、かなり興奮しました!!今月のThere She GoesのゲストDTだからというだけでなく、彼女のクリーンなスタイルが、とても気に入っています。クリーン＝シンプルという方程式ではなく、沢山のレイヤーを使っているところも、とっても素敵です。

I cased her beautiful sympathy card: Love & Prayer

I changed the color combo, stamps and some embellishments.
I used Flowers of Happines from There She Goes. It was supposed to be quick to make, however, after I had many interruptions through the day, it almost took half day to finish. Don't you hate the things don't go as you plan?!

There She GoesからのFlowers of Happinesを使ました。本当は、早く作れるカードだったはずなんですが、色々な事で中断されっぱなしで、約半日かけてやっと終わらせることができました。計画通りに事が進まないのって、本当に嫌ですね～。

SC215 -- You're such a HAM!

Hello everyone~
The weather is like a spring today here in Texas. It's a very pleasant day after the big thunderstorm went by last night.

Do you like these cute piggies? I made this for SCS Sketch challenge 215 (SC215). The set I used is called "You're Very Punny!" from There She Goes.
I stamped the middle piggy first and masked it with Eclipse tape. Then I stamped the same image on the both side. I colored the all images with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol, along Twinkling H2Os for shading and the grass. The middle piggy was layered a few times to look dimensionally. I think he stands out more with this way. These pretty designer papers are from Making Memories. I just love the papers. They make me smile and feel happy every time I use :)

今日は春日日和な１日です。昨夜の豪雨が過ぎた後、とても晴々な日になりました。

この可愛い豚さん、皆さんは好きかな？このカードは、SCSのスケッチチャレンジ２１５（SC215)で作りました。使ったスタンプは、There She Goesからの｢You're So Punny!」というセットです。
真ん中の豚さんをはじめにスタンプし、Eclipseテープ を使ってマスクをしました。それから、両方に同じイメージをスタンプしました。イメージは全て、プリズマカラーペンシルとモルツベンで色をつけ、Twinkling H2Osも影と芝に使いました。真ん中の豚さんは、凹凸を出すために、何回か重ねています。これをすることで、もっと目立った気がします。可愛いパターンペーパーは、メイキングメモリーからのです。このペーパーがとても気に入っていて、いつも使う度に、何故か笑みがこぼれ、ハッピーな気分になるんですよね～(笑）

CC205 & Mojo73

Hello there~
It's raining on and off all day today. I had to do some errands today and finally found the time to stamp.
Today's SCS challenge was Color Combination challenge (CC205). The combo is absolutely beautiful!! I immediately grabbed this Bloomin' Beautiful stamp from SU! and started coloring with reinkers and waterbrush. After the image was dried, I trimmed the one of the flower bush and mounted on the other image.

I used the sketch from Mojo Monday week 73 (Mojo73). Although I had to change a little for the one of the layer and the sentiment layer, I think the sketch worked very well.

今日は、一日中雨が降ったり、止んだりの天気でした。日中は、所用で一日費やしてしまい、やっとスタンプをする時間を作ることができました。
今日のSCSチャレンジは、カラーコンビネーションチャレンジ（CC205)でした。この色あわせ、すっごく綺麗です!!咄嗟に、SU!からのBloomin' Beautifulのスタンプを取り出し、インカーと水彩筆で色をこのイメージに色を塗りました。イメージが乾いた後、花の部分だけ切り、もう１つのイメージの方に重ねて貼りました。

スケッチは、Mojo Monday week 73（Mojo73)を使っています。レイヤーの一部と言葉のレイヤーを少し変えましたが、このスケッチを上手く使うことができたと思います。

FS105 and PTI Challenge

Hello everyone~
It was the rainy Monday here in Texas, which was good because I had an excuse to stay in my studio instead of working outside, hehe.

I didn't have a time to stamp yesterday but I checked SCS Featured Stamper 105 (FS105) and I already chose the cards I wanted to case before I went to bed. The stamper was Karen (K Dunbrook). I was not familiar with her gallery until yesterday but I'm soooo glad I had a chance to see her beautiful work! I chose two cards because I couldn't choose just one, lol.

今日は、雨の月曜日でした。まあ、外で何もできないので、スタンプ部屋に閉じこもれる理由ができたので良かったです。

昨日は、スタンプをする時間が無かったんですが、寝る前にSCSのフィーチャースタンパー１０５（FS105)を見て、ケースをしたいカードを選んでおきました。スタンパーは、Karen(K Dunbrook)さんでした。彼女のギャラリーは、昨日まで知らなかったんですが、彼女の素敵な作品の数々を拝見できる機会があって、本当に嬉しいです。１枚だけを選ぶことができなかったので、２つのカードを選んじゃいました（笑）



The first card was cased the card, Petal Prints Sympathy. I changed the stamps, the embossing folder and the color combo. I also used the ribbon instead of the zig zag stitches and added the rhinestones on the flowers. I even used my neglected sewing machine, too :)I stamped the flower images from "Flowers of Happiness" by There She Goes and watercolored them with reinkers and watercolor brush. And I trimmed and mounted them on the card.

最初のカードは、このカード、Petal Prints Sympathyをケースしました。スタンプ、エンボスフォルダーとカラーコンボを違うものに変え、ジグザグステッチの代わりに、リボンを使い、ラインストーンを花に付けました。宝の持ち腐れ（笑）になっているミシンも、ここで使っています。There She Goesの「Flowers of Happiness」からの花のイメージをスタンプし、インカーと水彩筆を使って、ウォーターカラーリングをしたのを切り取りカードに貼りました。

Paper: pale plum(SU), white cardstock (GP)

Ink: Palette noir black (Superior), perfect plum, pale plum, reinkers (SU)

Accessories: ribbon, rhinestones, Stickles, CB embossing folder, sewing machine and thread

The next card was cased the card, For your difficult time. I also made the card for PTI Friends 'Til the End challenge.
I changed a lot of things and added more embellishments but I kept the look and colors same.
I masked the square window and added the moss green color with the brayer. And I stamped the flowers, stems and circle sentiment with dark brown. After I layered the cardstock and designer paper, I sewed around the edge...... Gee...that zig zag stitches are disaster!! Oh well, it's one of kind card and I don't look behind,lol I attached the ribbon and the pebble on the circle sentiment. I finished it by staming the friendship sentiment along the bottom of the card base.

次のカードは、For your difficult timeをケースしました。このカードは、PTI Friends 'Til the Endチャレンジとしても作りました。
色んな部分を変え、エンベリッシュメントも増やしましたが、見た目と色は、そのままにしてあります。四角の窓をマスキングし、ブレイヤーを使って、モスグリーンの色を付け、花、茎とサークルの言葉をダークブラウンでスタンプしました。カードストック、パターンペーパーをレイヤーした後、その周りをミシンで縫っています。このジグザグ縫いが曲がりに曲がっていること。。。まあ、オリジナルなカードということで、前に進みましょう(笑）それから、りぼん、サークルの上にぺブルを付け、カードベースの下の方に友情の言葉を捺し、カードを完成させました。

Paper: white card base (Strathmore), spring moss, designer paper (PTI)white cardstock (GP)

Ink: spring moss, dark chocolate (PTI)

Accessories: ribbon, pebble, sewing machine and thread

Mojo Monday Week 72 & OCC Challenge

Another post for today!! There are so many great challenges out there. Who can resist? Plus, my hubby wants to take me with motorcycle ride tomorrow so I decided to make one more card before the fun date :)

今日、２度目の更新です！あちこちで、色んなチャレンジがあるので、私のチャレンジ好きの血が騒いでいます（笑）それに、明日は主人がバイクのツーリングに連れて行きたいそうなので、楽しいデートの前にカードをもう１枚だけ作ることにしました。

This is another card with using Papertrey Ink. I can't believe it's almost one year ago when I got this 1 year anniversary stamp set. The time definitely flies by fast, lol.
I combined 2 challenges for this -- Mojo Monday 72 (Mojo72) and Our Creative Corner challenge (OCCC). The challenge was to create a project from being inspired by the embellishments of your choice.
I chose the 2 prima flowers and the decorative brad for the inspiration. I made the own background with stamping the images with basic gray. I was going to use black but I accidentally grabbed basic gray ink pad and started stamping! Well, it was the wonderful mistake, lol. I think basic gray made the whole card look softer. What do you think?

Papertrey Inkを使ったカードもう１枚。この１周年記念のスタンプセットを貰ってから、もう直ぐ一年が経つんですね~。時間が経つのが、ものすごく早い！
今回は、２つのチャレンジを組み合わせました－Mojo Monday 72 (Mojo72) とOur Creative Corner チャレンジ（OCCC)です。OCCのチャレンジは、エンベリッシュメントを選び、それをインスピレーションに作品を作るです。
私のは、プリマのお花２つとオシャレなデザインのブラッドをインスピレーションに使っています。バックグランドは、グレーのインクで、スタンプを捺して作りました。本当は、黒のインクを使う予定だったんですが、間違えてグレーのインクでスタンプを捺しちゃったんです。でも、これが良いミステイクだったと思っています。グレーのおかげで、カード全体が柔らかな感じになった気がするんですが。。。皆さんはどう思いますか？
